While the condo's location gives you the flexibility to enjoy all there is to do on the Gulf Coast, you'll want to take time to relax at your condo.

Enjoy your own private balcony as you gaze at the surf and sand below. Be sure to watch for dolphins frolicking in the Gulf. Or, let the kids blow off some steam at the outdoor pool as you lounge around and read that book you've been trying to get to for the past several months.

Want to build the coolest sandcastle around? Call our friends at Sandcastle University for a sandcastle-building lesson. They'll come to beachfront at Island Shores and bring all the tools and buckets you'll need. All you have to do is supply the creativity and the hands to construct your masterpiece!

At Island Shores, you'll enjoy the solitude of your two- or three-bedroom condo, complete with private balcony, without sacrificing all the fun of being in the middle of the excitement of delicious restaurants, amusing attractions and beach shopping.

The bed was so hard y hi at i had to sleep sitting up in one of tue recliners. The hold time i was in the condo i was miserable! Everything was old an outdated. I want a refund!!

Best Stay

The overall was awesome! Mr Danny was the security guy and he was very friendly and helpful! He explained how everything was handled about parking and the box that was there coming in from beach was shared toys and floats! We had a baby and we got to get a baby float and eye goggles for our 6 year old out of the box!! The beach was only steps from the room! We ate at Sea and Suds and it was walking distance and the food was great!! Our vacation time there was definitely worth it!! Thank you!!

Not worth the price

We had a hard time communicating with the host. Also, the rental is in poor shape compared to the pictures. Bits of exposed ceiling, one of the TVs didn’t work properly, and it smelled of old cigarette smoke and mildew. The location is great and that must be why the price is so high but you could find better places for the same price just a few blocks further down.

It was a little smaller than picture showed. It is outdated a little bit. Mattresses are not the best . Smaller place so the parking lot is not hard to find a spot . Pretty convenient and close to everything . Bathrooms were good .

Overall just ok

I’ll start with the positives. It was nice to be beach front. We found the air to blow cold and appliances worked well. The showers and bathrooms were clean. The air filter hadn’t been changed for sometime and there was a lot of dust on the door that houses the furnace, there was dust on the ceiling and on the fans. There are no overhead lighting fixtures. The beds aren’t very comfortable are extremely loud/squeaky. There isn’t much bedding provided—a sheet and very thin blanket so we had to purchase more from Walmart as we flew in and didn’t pack any. Additionally, the box spring on one of the twin beds had a dirty fitted sheet on it with many stains. There was black mold in the primary bath fan. More than half the outlets don’t work at all. There are no curtains or blinds in the twin bedroom beyond some very thin gauzy curtains so the moon was even bright and hard to sleep through. When we pulled sheets off beds there were large stains on some of the mattresses. The living room furniture, especially the couch and throw pillows were very dirty to the point we didn’t want to use them. I’ve stayed in several condos on the gulf and this was the least accommodating in terms of linens and non working outlets, etc.

Disappointed

The beds were terrible in both rooms. With every movement, it sounded like we were going to end up on the floor. I am not sure if it was the actual bed/frames or just cheap box springs, but it definitely needs to fixed. Multiple outlets did not work throughout the condo. The elevator was broken multiple times during our stay. Basically, renters ignore the posted signs saying to not hold the doors open which causes it to stop working and have to be reset.

Wonderful location! Condo is pretty much as advertised. Can't beat the view!

We loved the location of the property. Lots on shops and restaurants were in walking distance. The pool was very nice. The view of course is amazing! Nice balcony to relax on! The only complaints I have about the property are a few areas that need some maintenance work. The dishwasher almost fell out because it wasn't secured, there were a couple of holes in the wall where I think they were trying to install cables, but hadn't secured then so they were hanging loose. Thiscould be an issue if you have small children, and it just looks kind of sloppy. We were leary about running the ceiling fan because it sounded like it was going to fall. The mattresses were not very good. They weren't necessarily uncomfortable but they were very noisy. If you're a restless sleeper or if you sleep with a restless sleeper, you're not going to get much rest.

Bring everything you even remotely think you might need, because you will need it

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. But, for the price we paid, this hotel is sadly unfurnished. There were 3 forks, one teaspoon and 4 tablespoons. These and a few kitchen utensils were all laid in a bare drawer without a liner. There wasn't a single dishcloth present to wipe counters. (There were 2 dishtowels). We stayed for 5 nights and did not have a broom. Can you imagine the sand? I must not have paid attention to the pictures either, because I wasn't expecting to have to go downstairs and use the public coin operated laundry area. Also, we had to go to the store and buy 2 extension cords in order to charge our 2 phones and plug in both lamps. (No overhead bedroom light or fan) There was one fan in the extra bedroom that works, but it rattles due to a broken frame, so bring some duct tape. The fan in the kitchen wobbled so bad we were afraid to use it, but thankfully the air worked great. Just know, that this is a very basic room. I would stay here again for a much cheaper price and if I knew in advance what I needed to bring. (Broom, fans, extension cords) By the way, the fridge was clean and had an ice maker that worked. Also had a working coffee pot and microwave.

Perfect for our trip!

This condo was perfect for our quick girls getaway. It was incredibly clean when we arrived and the view from the balcony was just beautiful! The only downside was that there were not many electrical outlets and some did not work. But that was just a minor issue and otherwise we had a perfect stay! I would definitely consider staying here again!
