Welcome home to Sea-esta, a cozy and beachy 2nd-floor condo unit with easy beach access via a boardwalk with no roads to cross, a location near the fun of Perdido Key and the Gulf Island National Seashore, a private balcony, and amenities to make you feel at home. When you're not soaking up the sun on Florida's sandy beaches, you'll be sipping your coffee from the private balcony overlooking the pool and beach path, cooling off in front of the flatscreen TVs, and catching a nap in the master suite - complete with a king-size bed, flatscreen TV, and comforting colors.

Sea-esta boasts its share of great features: Wi-Fi, a well-stocked kitchen for fresh-caught-fish meals, built-in bunks, a washer/dryer, a big screen smart TV with DVD player, and a spot just 30 yards from the sand. But its location in the East Grand Caribbean Resort also means access to a community hot tub, heated (seasonally) pool, freshwater pond, and BBQ and picnic areas!

Living Room

Sea-esta's comfortable living room is a cool space when you need a break from the sun. Kick back on the sofa, flip on the new flatscreen smart TV with cable channels and a DVD player, surf the web via the Wi-Fi, and stay cool with the new AC unit.

Kitchen

This bright, fresh space comes well-equipped, allowing you to whip up an easy lunch after some time at the pool, a nice shrimp dinner when you want to stay in, or a big breakfast before a busy day of go-karts, mini-golf, and shopping. Brew some coffee for your morning jolt, and then head to your private balcony for a hot drink and cool breeze to start the day.

Dining Area

Ordering pizza in or making an elaborate seafood dinner, the 4-person dining table (plus 2 stools at the breakfast bar) makes meals at the beach house easy. Enjoy family meals, lots of natural light through the French doors leading to the private balcony, and games on those rainy beach days.

Nice for small family

We enjoyed our time at this condo. It was exactly the size we needed. The window from the walkway to the master bedroom allows a LOT of light in at night from the lights outside. Blinds might help with this problem. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay.

Very nice

We were guests in July 2019 and were pleased with the cleanliness of the unit and the pool area. We were however, concerned when the access code to our unit was deactivated prior to the 10:00 am checkout time. The overall experience was very good.

Needs Care

Winged gnats throughout the condo, broken window, broken outdoor furniture, had to bring in patio furniture while the patio was worked on, workmen arrived at 7am every day and the machinery started up making it quite noisy, toilet had the wrong size seat on it. Definitely needs some attention,

Pleased with check-in process/communication. Unit next to elevator and above pool so some unanticipated noise & light as bedroom was next to elevator. The big issues were (1) lack of privacy due to no window coverings on pool side which allowed people to see in unit (2) bed was WAY TOO SOFT but improved once I removed foam pad (3) had been remodeled but was poor quality (e.g. baseboard/shoe molding white paint on floor and large gap under sink counter) (4) window was broken (left side leading to balcony) (5) never could get either TV to work properly - need to provide instructions not manufacturer owner manual.

Not what we expected

End of the curtain rod in the master bedroom is broke. There is a "damp rid" hanger and the master closet that is full of water. The toilet isn't flushing properly and then you have to jiggle the handle or remove the tank lid to get the stopper to go down so it stops running. Multiple screw holes and missing paint and scrapes on the entrance wall to the left as soon as you walk in. Bathroom air vent it's clogged with dust. Bathroom wall that connects to the tile in the shower the drywall is torn.Vent entering and exiting the bathroom to the left is also clogged and covered with dust. Window to the left of the door on the balcony is broken at the bottom. Mirror on the left side of that window is also broken.Shade in the left door of the balcony does not operate properly.Dining room table is not level and wobbly. Top of the fridge is dirty. Top of the microwave is covered in hair and dirt. The welcome boxes at both the kitchen sink and the bathroom sink we're already open. Dirty dish sponge under the sink. not what we expected when we booked the room. cat toy on the balcony. somebody previous must have had a cat here but it was not us.We also discovered a crack in the toilet seat that pinched us everytime we used the toilet. We even replaced it because the owner didnt respond other. Did not even offer fo reimburse us for the seat. Also the code to get back in from.beach access failed all 3 times we went. This property has RATS!

We literally watched from our balcony the rats run around the pool deck every single morning. They dryer is broken so we couldn't do laundry over our entire 6 night stay. The TV's didn't work. The internet only worked sometimes. The dishwasher would fall forward out of its space everytime we opened it. The master bed had to be at least 10 years old. The bunk beds were very uncomfortable. I messaged and called the management office multiple times w zero response. Horrible experience.

Almost perfect, but has a few issues.

Initially upon arrival we unpacked and went to get some groceries. The fridge takes around 24 hours to cool down. We had to go get ice to keep our groceries cold overnight but by the next morning it was cold so that’s wasn’t an issue the remaining time we were there. We washed some towels and the dryer ran for about 5 minutes and then stopped. The internet worked for the first 2 or 3 days of our stay and then it said it wasn’t connected and wouldn’t connect again. The condo itself is pretty noisy. We heard a lot from other condos next to and above us. But other than that, the location was great. We spent most of our time at the beach anyway so overall, it’s a great place to stay and not far from the beach and other attractions.

When we got there to check in at 4 the room hadnt been cleaned. I called and was told it wasnt put on the schedule for some strange reason they would have someone right there at 5 still no one came. A little after 5 someone shows up. We didnt get in our room until 6. 30. The maid said we were not the ist to be cleaned and they called her to come do it. The room was right outside the elevator door and the stairs. No one told us that everyday we were there they would be working on the stairs they stared at 7 30 this us my vacation and it was noisey. The light to the outside was right in front of the bedroom so all night it was bright. No black out curtains. The noise in this unit was awful. Everyday night late and every morning early you could hear everything the people upstairs did. The dishwasher was also loose. I called to find out about what they would do for my bad experience they compt the cleaning fee and gave me a visa gift card. On reading several reviews from years past we have all had the same issues. How much does it cost to get black out curtains. With the construction going on we should have been told so we had another obtain. But once we got there we had to stay no refund. At 10 30 one night we went upstairs to ask the neighbors if they could be a little more quiet. They stomped and jumped until 1 30. Just remeber if the place you are booking gives you a time between 4-6 check in time they are covering themselves in case the ball is dropped. Worst vacation rental

Hectic rental

We rented this property at the beginning of May for a last minute beach getaway with our kids they waited until the day after arrival to ask for verification of id and card which was my husbands so it was craziness getting that straightened out. When we got to the property I noticed we had no parking passes when I called they stated the owner did not have the new ones but we shouldn’t get towed away because they never have. There were signs all over the property stating you needed a parking tag, although we thankfully did not get towed I stressed all weekend that I would walk out and not find our vehicle. When staying at the beach normally people stay out in the sun and it is not a cool climate well there was a sign on the thermostat stating we could not place it below 70 because it would freeze up ( we tried you it would not go below 70) so we barely slept due to the rental being so hot. There were no extra trash bags only the one provided in the can and there is mold in the bathroom shower and on the shower head. We enjoyed how close it was to the beach but we will definitely not be returning to this property.

Nice property but has issues

Checked in and had a total of two towels, no wash cloths or hand towels so had to call them right off. Also noticed a broken window which was reported so I wouldn't be charged for it. NOTE: There are no blinds on the side lights going to the patio which leaves you exposed to the pool all hours of the day. The bedroom is located right where a light shines into the room - shade should be much heavier; we could walk around like daylight. PARKING PASSES - given the issues we had when we unpacked, we forgot completely about the parking passes and never used one for our stay - no ticket or anything. Immediately after checkout we start getting emails & texts that the passes were missing. I let them know we never saw one or used one however the maid is claiming she left them (same maid who couldn't leave enough towels or any wash clothes). I'm now getting charged $25 for something I never had nor saw. BEWARE of this type of scam.

Choose a different place! WASTE OF MONEY.

I never leave negative comments, but this was insane. We wait all year looking forward to our vacation, our time away from crazy life, looking forward to relaxation, but this was so stressful. Main negative is the dryer was completely broken (biggest reason we chose this condo as we utilize the washer/dryer a lot). I called on day 2 of 7, they apologized, said owner KNEW of dryer issue and would just order a replacement and "hopefully" get it to us soon. NEVER arrived our whole stay. They offered a $50 Visa card and an address to a laundromat 22 min away. Just what you want to do on vacation - drive 22 min, spend an hour+ there, then 22 min back. Other issues: top bunkbed has no railing. My son almost fell out one night. Patio table legs are broken. Back window at bottom broken with clear tape over it (saw on an Aug 2022 review someone mentioned the window, so it hasn't been fixed since then). Backdoor is hard to shut, needs fixed. Dishwasher needs screwed in as it moves outward when you use it. Carpet looks super old in the bedroom, window in bedroom is right by a bright light at the stairwell so it looks like daylight all night long, you need darkening curtains. You gave us the wrong code to get back into the gate from the beach. Thankfully another tenant was walking in & gave us the correct code. Only positives: condo was decently clean, nicely maintained pool & hot tub, very short walk to the beach, nice parking lot close to the building. We'll never stay here again tho!

Beautiful condo, Poor management by CFY

First off, this condo was beautifully decorated and fairly clean. The top comforter on the bed did not appear to have been laundered, but I washed in myself in unit's washer and dryer. We could have used more than one trash bag and one roll of toilet paper, and one roll of paper towels for the entire week, but we bought our own. The proximity to the beach was great, a very short walk from room to sand, especially with children. No where to really store the beach wagon and toys though. The pool was a good size, but could have been cleaner. One of the building staff workers was rude daily during his maintenance, constantly getting onto children for the splashing/jumping/having a pool float, etc. (being normal kids at a pool.) The biggest issue we encountered was communication with the CFY management, and their lack of intervention with the constant stomping above us, all hours of the night- regardless of their policies clearly posted in the elevators. It made it very difficult to get any rest/relaxation, and their response was that "they don't manage that" and we could call the police if needed. We never received any information about when the room was available, or check out procedures. We also read in multiple places we had to have a parking tag in our car-no tag was provided. When we called, we were told "oh you don't actually have to have one" then when adamant "it should be on the refrigerator" then when it wasn't "we'll send someone out with a tag" but no one ever came. Just glad we weren't towed. Also, the refrigerator didn't work upon arrival. After lack of any timely assistance and our groceries getting warm, my husband unplugged it to allow it to defrost and that managed to get it working again. Overall, the location made up for some of the issues we had, but I can't say that I'd stay there again. Which is a shame, because it was beautiful and had a great location near the beach.

Nice - has potential but needs a few updates

The condo was decorated nicely and has potential but needs a few tweaks to make a more enjoyable stay. The check-in instructions stated check-in starts at 3p but guaranteed by 6pm which is confusing.....luckily we arrived after 6p because we didn't have any notice when the unit was actually ready. It appears there were some shortcuts when updating the unit- workmanship was a bit rough in places but overall on the surface it was nice & decor was light and beachy. I didn't see other reviews that noted the light issue in bedroom (due to location by elevator light)- it was VERY BRIGHT in the bedroom all night long despite the curtain covering. The room definitely needs blackout shades/curtains & I'm not sure why the owner hasn't corrected this after multiple comments from guests. It made it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. In addition the bed was VERY SOFT and seemed to sink in the middle- the softness in part was due to a very thick foam topper- would suggest just replacing with a better mattress and ditching the foam topper. We only stayed 2 nights so tolerated short term but any longer would have been tough. There was also construction noise near the unit very early in am- which added to the sleep issues. We didn't utilize the bunk beds but same issue with light/privacy noted here as well....there were no blinds on the 2 outer windows facing pool (although pictures of the unit listing show blinds- not sure if the broken window with clear tape on left has something to do with missing blinds)- this would have made it very difficult to sleep in the bunks as the bright lights from the pool/greenspace shined through the space all night. Since the unit overlooks the pool, there is no privacy in the living room without the blinds. We had a difficult time with the TV in the bedroom- no instructions on how to use and it wasn't very intuitive - this would be an easy fix to have a laminated instruction sheet to accompany the remotes. The unit served the purpose for a short stay between locations but I'm not sure we would return unless the bedroom items were resolved.

So much fun in spite of struggles

It was lovely, we had a great time. The struggles were with the bed, it was very, very uncomfortable. There was a light directly outside the bedroom window that also made it impossible to sleep. The TV didn't work and even after 2 calls to the number listed we didn't get any help. She said the staff would come the next day to fix it, nobody ever showed up.

Very cute!

Could be a little cleaner, but overall super cute! Hardly anyone there too! Beach access close by & great location! Would definitely recommend for a couple or family of 4.

Awesome condo

We had a great week! The condo was just what we needed. The only issue was the hot tub wasn't working but we did get to use the condo next to us hot tub. It wasn't too bad but wish it would of been working. The maintenance team was awesome and kept everything nice and clean every morning. We can't wait to go back!

Didn’t want to leave

Aside from the kitchen sink not being installed, it was taken care of the next day. We just got water from the bathroom sink to make coffee. The fridge honks like a goose, however. I think it needs to be buried in the backyard. It worked but it was noisy. I would recommend an extra shade in the bedroom. There is a curtain but it doesn’t keep much light out with the outside light literally above the bedroom window. All night long, the bedroom remains lit from it. I loved our location above the pool. We could still hear the ocean even though we couldn’t see it. The pool heaters were broken which was disappointing. One of the other guests who had been staying there for over a month said they had been broken for at least that long. This was our second trip to Perdido and it has become our favorite location. I enjoyed this condo more than the first one we stayed at a few years back. The decor was coastal and relaxing. It was very difficult to say goodbye on our last day. We will definitely want to stay at this location again! đŸ‘đŸŒ Thanks for a great stay!

Very nice!

The condo is perfect for a small group. Well decorated and supplied. The beach is a short walk and the pool area was lovely. Suggestions for the owner include room darkening curtains or shades in master. There are 2 VERY bright lights right outside the window. Also, they need to monitor their VRBO messages more closely. The AC was not working and it took several hours for a response and then they sent the request to someone else. It did finally get fixed and we didn't have any further problems!

Nice location on the Gulf

Well maintained, well situated. BUT... Check-in was confusing--we had to do detective work to find the unit number. And our instructions gave us the the wrong access code (we had to call the support number, which was difficult to find, and be on hold for a very long time).
