Large Cottage for Perfect Family Vacation

A fabulous two bedroom Maushop Villa. Just steps for the private Maushop Beach, the fabulous Rw Bar (best lobster rolls on the cape), Popponesset Inn and the fabulous restaurants of Mashpee Commons. This is truly a special one and my personal favorite.

Please note, I have just purchased this property, so there are no reviews yet. I expect them to be awesome once they start coming for 2022.

The location and patio were amazing. The house left something to be desired. We needed the pull out sofa (which the house included in the bed count) but there were no sheets for it. I messaged to ask if there were sheets and got a one word answer 24 hours later: no. There was also no cookie sheet, toiletries, or broom. The house was a little dirty.

This cottage is located in a seaside vacation village. We were there off season when very few people were around. Therefore, both parking and walking around were easy. Be mindful that during this time of year some stores and restaurants are either closed or are open with reduced hours. The village was very quiet and peaceful. We had one question during our stay, which was responded to quickly. Our visit to this village was very pleasant.

Great Stay

Beautiful, clean condo with lots of room and light. Close walk to beach and market place. Really enjoyed our vacation there. We would definitely stay again.

Great location! Cute well appointed property!

Really enjoyed our stay. Owner thought of everything. Well stocked kitchen cabinets, in unit laundry. Great bedrooms. Stayed unusually hot week in July could use extra fan in downstairs bedroom but overall the unit cooled with 2 ac’s. Definitely would stay again

Perfect Summertime Getaway!!

This place is magical beyond description. My daughter and I came for her birthday weekend, and it was the perfect place to make unforgettable memories. The host is great, he answered my initial questions right away. This house is absolutely gorgeous! The unique wood floors and the vaulted skylight stairway were just, wow! The beds are so comfortable, literally some of the best sleep we've had. Kitchen was perfect for us and so well stocked, it had everything we needed. Yard and little sitting area is like your own slice of heaven pie listening to the peaceful sounds. Neighbors are so friendly and helpful too! A short walk to the beach where the view is breathtaking. You can just relax on the sand with a good book listening to the waves roll in, or build sand castles, or play in the water. The Marketplace is a short, beautiful walk away where there's yummy pizza, drinks, delicious seafood, live music, little gift shops, and my daughter's favorite was the mini-golf. Endless possibilities for fun. We are hoping to make this an annual trip and we couldn't think of a more perfect place to call home away from home. Would love to come back and stay.

Unresponsive with no heat or hot water

Unfortunately, we had no heat or hot water, and the owner was not very responsive. I had to contact VRBO to get a phone number as there was no response from him through the app. Once he finally responded, he suggested a few things that WE could do to fix the issue that unfortunately did not work. His last response was he was away in Boston and couldn’t help us. We had a wedding and several events with no hot water for showers or heat for a chilly weekend. I asked for a refund and VRBO said the owner needs to take responsibility for that and once again there was no communication or response from him. My suggestion is to make sure you have a backup plan just in case the owner is unresponsive, and he should think about hiring a management company to handle responding to guest and property issues.

Cheerful cottage

This cottage is perfectly equipped for a family or friends getaway and is just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The unit is in the middle of 3 condos in a quiet, shady corner of Maushop. Everything in it is new and sparkling clean. The queen bed upstairs was extremely comfy; we slept well there and hated to leave!

Family girls trip

The villa is perfect for a small group. The furniture and beds were comfy, kitchen well appointed, tons of towels and closet space. Quiet, cozy, beautiful little village with so many beautiful flowers. Easy walk to the beach with a path or stairs to the water and a walking panther to the Marketplace. Would stay an again and will recommend to others.

It was near the beach, I could smell the ocean, I could walk to the beach and swim, back to salt water, I rejoice. The downstair beds were monstrously high, Mom at 102 yo was challenged. We flipped the box spring off to lower the mattress and Mom slept well all vacation long and didn't fall once. Put it all back the way it was when done. All good. A peaceful place, a peaceful vacation, a good time was had by all.

10/10 Rental!

My husband, son and I stayed at this property for Labor Day weekend and it was absolutely perfect. The house was clean, comfortable and perfect location to walk to the beach and the marketplace. It was so nice to not have to load the baby in and out of the car every time we wanted to go somewhere. Maushop is the perfect location for a getaway!

Delightful

We loved this place! The space was very comfortable and quiet, and only a minute or 2 walk to the beach. Having New Seabury within a short walk was so convenient too! We walked to get coffee there in the morning and dinner at night. Everything about this property was easy, comfortable and enjoyable.

Quick getaway

We had an wonderful time! Great location and adorable cottage setup! Short walk to the beach and marketplace. Everything was clean and well laid out. Lovely property

We enjoyed our stay. It was just the right size for two teenagers and two adults. The home is very clean. The beach and other attractions (raw bar etc.) are very walkable. The kitchen has everything you need to make meals. The home also has beach towels and sand chairs. My only suggestion would be to put a king bed in the upstairs bedroom. There is enough room and it would be more comfortable for (spoiled) adults. :) We would stay here again. Great neighborhood!

Awesome Close to the beach Condo

First time staying in this area of the Cape and we loved it. This resort community is very quiet. The condo was very clean. The kitchen had a lot of amenities. The only issue was parking for this particular unit. It has very limited parking. I have a Dodge Ram pickup and it hardly fit in the parking space. If you have a 2nd vehicle, you must park it in another area in the resort. All in all we are very pleased and will be back in the near future.

Perfect cottage.

A lovely updated cottage that had everything we needed for a weekend get away at the Cape. It was just a short walk to the beach or a few restaurants. Will definitely book here again if our travels bring us back to this area.
