Peaceful getaway with stunning views in gated Community - EV Friendly

Enjoy a stay at our comfortable cabin in Nebo, NC, and reconnect with friends and family. Located in a private, gated community just 35 min. to Lake James and Morganton, and just an hour from Asheville. Close enough to restaurants and shopping but far enough to appreciate the peace and quiet. Enjoy the spectacular views from the firepit and wrap around deck. Better yet, count the stars while relaxing in the hot tub. Internet is limited, especially during storms.

This 2000 sq. foot, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath cabin is on 2.6 acres in a quiet gated community. The wrap around deck allows you to enjoy your morning cup of coffee or a meal cooked on the gas grill, all with the backdrop of amazing views. At night, sit around the firepit making s'mores or gaze at the stars from the hot tub.

The kitchen is fully stocked - ready for you to make your favorite family meals, bake a birthday cake, or make a crockpot of soup on a cold Saturday. Spacious living room with plenty of DVD's and board games for those fun, family times.

Community amenities include a beautiful lake with a beach area and a fishing dock (2 fish per day limit). There is a covered pavilion with grill and an open fireplace in the common area. There are wonderful hiking trails and even a lovely waterfall. All roads in the neighborhood are paved.

Just 30 minutes away, Marion, NC, is host to fairs and festivals from April to December. It's only 35 minutes to Lake James State Park, 45 minutes to Linville Falls, and just an hour to Asheville. Closer activities are Catawba Falls and the Thermal-belt Rail Trail (recently completed paved, 13.5-mile walking/biking trail).

Weekend Getaway

We rented this cabin for a quick weekend getaway and it was perfect for our group. The views were amazing and we loved the hot tub and fire pit. Also, the was the most well stocked VRBO property we have ever stayed at!

Just Perfect!

Me and my wife have stayed in many cabins in the NC mountains over the years. This cabin may have been the best place yet. The views, the location, the cleanliness, the amenities.. all top notch. Kimberly was very responsive and checked in with us from time to time to see if we needed anything. Would highly recommend and will be staying there again! 😎

A home away from home

The stay at this gorgeous mountaintop location starts before you even arrive. Pulling into this gorgeous gated community takes you on a beautiful scenic drive through the mountains. There's plenty of open areas along the way that give an amazing view of the mountains and the neighborhood lake. When I arrived at the cabin, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was decorated with Christmas lights and presents. Walking in the front door is like being at home it's a hard feeling to capture but they did an amazing job. The couches are comfy, the fireplace is warm, the kitchen comes with almost everything you might not even think of. Which included a lovely welcome box with snacks, coffee, wine, and was a really nice touch. The bedrooms were very welcoming and comfortable, and the master bathroom is absolutely gorgeous with a big tub and awesome shower. To top all of this wonderful stay off, it really is the views. Standing on the beautiful wrap around deck staring off into the mountains or doing it from the hottub below. Nothing beats just enjoying nature. If the backyard view isn't enough though there's a beautiful waterfall trail a few miles down the road and it was amazing. Overall the stay here was more than I could ask for and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home in a beautiful location.
