Bears Boards n' Boots offers a quiet retreat for family and friends. Located less than five miles from Hickory Run state park, you can swim in the lake, hike the nature trails, view the relaxing waterfalls, and explore boulder field. In the winter months you can hit the slopes at Jack Frost Big Boulder less than five miles away. Bears Boards n' Boots was made to entertain with a large deck and fire pit with enough to seat twelve.

A Perfect Pocono Retreat – Highly Recommend!

Bears Boards n' Boots was exactly what we needed for a relaxing escape to the Poconos. From the moment we arrived, the house felt warm and inviting. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a stress-free stay.One of the standout features was the layout. With three separate living areas, each with cozy couches, there was plenty of space for both kids and adults to spread out and do their own thing. The outdoor setup was just as impressive, the fire pit and spacious deck made for great evenings outside. While the rain kept us from spending much time outdoors, the swings around the fire pit were such a fun addition, and the kids absolutely loved them! The deck itself is huge and offers a peaceful view of the trees and forest.The location is another big plus, close to Hickory Run State Park, where we enjoyed hiking and nature walks. If you're looking for a well-located, peaceful stay in the Poconos with easy access to outdoor activities, Bears Boards n' Boots is a great choice. We'll definitely be back!Thank you for letting us enjoy your home!

Peaceful location

This was an amazing stay full of peace and quiet my family enjoy all the space and comfort that this cabin have communication with owners was no a problem nice size kitchen 2 bathrooms and 1/2 room for everybody and more we enjoy the view and movies this family retreat was something to treasure thanks a lot for letting us inn to tour amazing cabin looking forward to come back on summer thanks again you guys have a lovely home 5 stars I recommended to anybody who is looking for a quiet place away from everything.

Cozy home in the woods.

The property was nice and beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the fire pit area! We made good use Of the kitchen, some items were missing but we purchased them and left them behind for the next guests to use.

Great experience

Loved this rental! Super spacious inside and the outside space was a huge bonus. The setting was private with a huge deck overlooking the beautiful countryside. It’s centrally located amongst several local attractions.

Good stay

The house was spacious. Lots of area to hang out sit and relax. Close to both mountains JFBB. Plenty of beds to sleep. Great communication from the host when we had questions.

Our home away from home

This is our families 3rd stay at this home. I cannot possibly say enough good things about it. It’s very spacious, has everything you need and is so peaceful. We travel every February to the area for a family snowboarding trip and this is always our place to stay. We have a wonderful time every trip and hope to enjoy this place for many more years to come. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!!!

Another enjoyable stay at "The Boots"

This was our second time staying at house. Comfortable and very convenient to Hickory Run State Park. When we couldn't enjoy the outdoors because of the rain, we were able to gather around the TV downstairs, and use the downstairs table for board games. Thank you Shawn and Leah!

Relaxation

Great house, property, location. Our bed was very comfortable and it was a very quiet location. Many dear around including a bear walking across the yard. Amazing! We enjoyed walks down the beautiful country road and relaxing on the comfortable couches after our daily hikes.

Gathering Friends!

This home was incredible!! The spacious home accommodated 8 adults very comfortably. The large airy open home was perfect for a large party to conversate and the sitting areas, although in the open area, worked well for chats separate from the group. My husband and I stayed in the smallest twin room and were still very comfortable. The decor is warm and inviting and I really hope to come back!

Perfect getaway!

Perfectly located to Hickory Run State Park, the Crossings Outlets, Big Boulder and Pocono Raceway, it is a must stay! If you like mini golf and ice cream stop by 940 Golf N Fun...great for all ages! While relaxing out back on the large deck we seen many deer and other wild life! The host Leah was quick to answer any questions and was very kind. I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely home!

We are a church family, and we needed a place that was spacious.and we got that. Everyone was happy, except for the living room chairs.. we are all over 50, so when we sat down most of us had a hard time climbing out of them, myself included..lololol. But, our stay was simply awesome. Everyone was pleased. Thank you.

Good house for a big group

We had 3 adults, a teenager and 5 kids aged 9-12. The space was big with plenty of room to hang, sleep, and be. The fire pit was fun and the kids enjoyed the big backyard. The house could use some touch ups including the back deck, which was peeling in several parts, but all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway!

House was perfect fit for our family/friends crew. 30 minutes from Jack Frost and Kalahari indoor water park. Loved relaxing by the wood-burning fireplace! Fav spot in the house. Basement for our 3 teen girls was a perfect hangout. 3 bathrooms was very beneficial! Deck would've been awesome to hangout on but was covered in snow so was relaxing to look out back door as it was snowing! So pretty!! Great long weekend trip made of many memories!

Not good

We arrive and kitchen was dirty. Have to clean stove , oven . towels was really smelly. We have to buy detergent to wash towels, sheets for all bedding. The refrigerator was completely dirty. Would not stay there again . Call owner and all they said was “ we will talk to the cleaners. I took pic of everything but I can’t attach them.

What we needed

We visited with 2 of our four children and their significant others. With them all being adults now, connecting without outside influences is tough at home. We loved being away and the Bears and Boots place was what we needed to connect. We all enjoyed the time away. Amble space, and comfort. I cooked for all of them, my favorite, played card games, that we brought, slept well, and overall enjoyed ourselves. Rested and recharged for the new year. The hosts were wonderful! They answered our questions, can opener and an app, were all we needed. Thank you for allowing us to use your space Alberts!

Nice place

We had 6 adults and only one got the bedding right. The sheets are on the bureau. I thought they were extra blankets. Also remember to bring your own soap. I thought they'd have liquid soap but shops aren't too far so I got some. My other friends had their own. The decor and signage was great! Getting in was a breeze with the code but it didn't lock back up so I locked from inside and left through the back which had a doorknob lock. Those were our 3 small complications that were easy to figure out. Enjoy your stay. I know we did.

Great family trip!

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Shawn and Leah’s place in the Poconos. The house was spacious and provided plenty of room for all 8 of us. The location is quiet and the property with the large deck and fire pit outside were perfect for the few warmer winter days we had up there. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process (booking and during our stay). Our only complaint is that the house provided the bare minimum of bathroom and kitchen items. It had just enough bath towels however no wash cloths or hand/dish towels (we purchased some and left at the house). There were pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware, however things like extra garbage bags, foil, ziplock bags, and basic cleaning supplies were not provided. Again, these things are not deal breakers at all but just wanted to mention to make sure others are aware of what they should plan to pack when staying here. Thanks again for your hospitality, Shawn and Leah!

Great place to stay in the Pocono's!

All I can say is "WOW"! What a great place to stay in the Pocono's. Especially if you happen to have a larger group going. Let me tell you this....everyone in my group was loving the property. This place has a huge deck out back, plenty of lawn, and a nice size firepit with swings around it. Clean and comfortable inside, with plenty of room. We loved having 3 bathrooms, and two with showers! Updated appliances, K-cup and pour over coffee makers,and a nice double stainless steel kitchen sink. Plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and plenty of plates, bowls, etc. There is a huge table downstairs that works great for poker/tabletop game playing. Also a big screen TV and sectional couches, upstairs and downstairs. We couldn't believe how much room there was inside to stretch out and relax. Three sectional couches. Just a great piece of property to enjoy. We were a little surprised about security cameras being mounted in the front and rear of the property. Especially one pointed right at the fire pit area. This was not mentioned in any part of the rental description. It made a few people in my group slightly uneasy. All in all, everyone enjoyed the property and had an excellent time. We loved it! We cant wait to come back next year and do it all over again. We would like to thank our hosts Leah and Shawn for having us at their awesome place!
