Come relax and enjoy the great outdoors with the whole family at this peaceful lake front retreat with spectacular sunrise views. Our 4BR, 2 bath, four-season home is well appointed and has everything you’ll need for a memorable family vacation. It boasts 200ft of lake frontage with 2 docks to tie up your boat! The rental includes the use of 4 kayaks, 1 canoe, and an additional cottage with a gas fireplace, pool table and SmartTV. Strong Wi-Fi throughout for those of you on a working vacation.

The space
Minimum age of primary renter is 30. Enjoy all that nature has to offer on beautiful Cranberry Lake with all the conveniences of a modern home, including high-speed internet. The house is a 2-story walkout. The main floor has the master bedroom, full bath, kitchen, living and dining room. The lower level has a full bath, 3 bedrooms and a dedicated workspace. French doors lead from the lower level directly out to the lake, just steps to the water's edge.

Fox Den has 200 ft. of lake frontage! Almost every room in the house has amazing lake views! We have two docks available for guests to bring their own boat or enjoy the lake with one of the 4 kayaks or the canoe that are available to our guests. Enjoy swimming in the deep water off our floating swim platform or stay close to shore and wade in knee deep waters. The deck above the boathouse is perfect for sun bathing, reading, picnicking, or stargazing with unobstructed views of the night sky. Cranberry Lake is great for boating, wake boarding, water skiing, swimming, fishing and hiking. In the winter there are miles of snowmobile trails and ice fishing.

Guests have use of the entire main house and an additional cottage that’s on the property. The cottage is one big open space with a gas fireplace, pool table and SmartTV. This is a fun place to hang out and play games with amazing lake views. This space makes even a rainy day on the lake a treat. Guests also have use of the deck above the boathouse, two docks where you can tie up your own boat and use of the floating swim platform right offshore. There is a lakeside fire pit and Weber gas grill. Also included in the rental are 4 kayaks and 1 canoe.

Enjoy hearing the loons, which are frequent visitors. If you're lucky, you may even catch sight of the occasional bald eagle or fox.

We are about 35 minutes away from Tupper Lake, with shopping, grocery stores, and the Wild Center (an interactive center where you can learn all about the wildlife in the Adirondacks). A little over an hour puts you in Saranac, Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain ski resort.

There is plenty of paved parking for your vehicles or snowmobiles.

The community boat launch is only 2 miles away, right on our road. Drop your boat there, leave the trailer, and in 5 minutes you can be at our dock.
Other things to note
Use of kayaks and canoe is at your own risk.

Our property may not be suitable for families with young children or for the disabled. There are many stairs and steep parts of the property and potential danger due to easy access to open water.

Wood for the fire pit is not included in the rental. If you would like to use the firepit please bring your own firewood. Thanks!

The closest grocery stores to Cranberry Lake are located in Tupper Lake about 35 minutes away. Be sure to come prepared with all you will need to avoid spending your vacation time driving for supplies and groceries.

Another great week on Cranberry Lake!

Fox Den is by far our favorite place to stay on Cranberry. It is an ideal set-up for large or multiple families with kids, lots of bedrooms with a variety of sleeping arrangements...the separate play room is perfect and you can't beat the view from the boathouse! The house is always well cleaned and appointed with everything you need for a week on the lake. The dock easily handles our 23 ft tritoon and there is a great swimming area as well. Hosts are very attentive and respond to any issues quickly! See you next year!!

Relaxing week at beautiful lake house

The home was beautiful! There was plenty of space for my family of 9. And the kitchen was stocked with everything you would need minus the food - tableware, pans/pots, coffee machine, and many other gadgets. My family really enjoyed all of the water toys. And the lake was pristine - you could see down to your toes. The separate cottage was used daily by the kids as a getaway from the parents. It was a super relaxing week for all.

Great Place for a Family Vacation!! July 29-August 5, 2023

The Home is amazing! The pictures of this house were great but didn't do it justice! Clean, lots of space, and everything you could ever want through out the whole house. The large windows on the lake side of the house was such a treat! Sunrise, moonrise, shimmering water, or fog coming from the water... the view is always changing and always mesmerizing. The adjacent cottage was a fun place to play games and hang out in, we used it used daily. The deck over the boat house was the favorite place every morning for sitting and looking out over the lake with a cup of coffee. Our family with 6 adults and 5 grandchildren had plenty of room. We have rented vacation homes in 11 different states and this home is at the top of the list! What to do? The house comes with kayaks and a canoe. We rafted on the Hudson, fished, rented a pontoon boat and docked it right there at the house. Golfed, visited The Wild Center, and toured some waterfalls. We watched a few movies and played lots of card and board games. Best of all, we made some great memories that keep our family cemented together. David, the owner was very friendly and helpful in making our stay so enjoyable. He is easy to talk to and reach if needed. I highly recommend this home for your vacation!

Great house on a secluded lake

This house was perfect for our family get-together. The house is right on the water with 2 decks from which we enjoyed coffee each morning and stargazed at night (easy to see the Milky Way!). We used the kayaks and canoe quite a bit exploring the lake, and having the swimming platform made swimming more fun and safe with the kids. The kids also kept busy with the pool and ping pong table. The kitchen is very well equipped and we appreciated having a dinning table that fit all 8 of us. The lake shoreline is 75% undeveloped and gets very little traffic, so on weekdays it often feels like you have the lake all to yourself. The house feels like luxury in a rustic setting-we loved it!

A little piece of paradise

This rental is immaculate and modern very new and in great shape. We had a party of 8 and never felt cramped it definitely boasts plenty of room inside the house and the cottage with pool table really tops off this spacious retreat no problem with accommodations for 12. The rooms have great beds and linens. The bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap if needed. The washer and dryer looks brand new front loaders so a nice perk for longer stays. Kitchen is huge with an island great for team cooking and company. Had just about every utensil, pots and pans glassware you could possibly need during a stay. We spent a couple mornings enjoying the boat garage deck it’s right on the water with great views and perfect for morning coffee or afternoon sun bathing. We flew over from Alaska for our daughters graduation and looking to spend a few days as a family relaxing before life gets in the way. This was the right spot for us. The only negative I can say about the whole stay at the Fox Den was the wind was up the 3 days we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the kayaks and canoes that are provided by the owner. The owners left us a nice LL bean tote bag to take as a souvenir that has Fox Den embroidered on it also. So if your looking for peace and quiet and getaway from the hustle and bustle of life this place has it all.

FANTASTIC!!

We’ve stayed at dozens of properties over the years and I have to say, this is probably the best one we have ever stayed at. The hosts were absolutely fantastic…great communication and could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. The property is TOP NOTCH! I would highly recommend to anyone. Wonderful Property

David and his family allowed us to rent at the last minute after our planned reservation got double booked. It was a blessing in disguise. The house is beautiful, clean and well stocked with everything you need in a quiet location. The house was perfect for our group of 9. My family enjoyed the cottage play room. It allowed us to play games while the kids were sleeping in the house. The lake was great for ice fishing and snowmobiling. We enjoyed sledding down the driveway and having a winter campfire. David was attentive to our questions and needs throughout the vacation. Would definitely recommend staying here to any family looking for a perfect vacation.

Beautiful, spotless, well-appointed property

Our family had a lovely week at Fox Den. As others have said, the photos don't quite do this property justice. The home is very well maintained and the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The views from the picture windows along the lakeside are stunning. The variety of outdoor spaces and recreation options make it a wonderful home base for exploring the Adirondacks or just relaxing lakeside. The hosts were very communicative and easy to work with. All-around a 10/10 stay!

Wonderful Home, Hosts, and Vacation

My family and I recently stayed for a week at this beautiful property in Cranberry Lake, NY. Our group included myself, my husband and my grown children and spouses along with three grandchildren ages 5, 4 and 2. When we walked into the home, it was exactly as advertised. The cleaning crew did a wonderful job. I never walked in to a home that smelled so fresh and clean. The lovely kitchen in this home was stocked with everything one would need. They left a starter kit with laundry detergent, trash bags, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, etc. There were more than enough bath towels left for all the guests. The wi-fi service worked wonderfully. The home was decorated beautifully. I slept in the master bedroom upstairs and truly have never slept on a better mattress. The added bonus of "the cottage" was a wonderful place that we used for our family game nights. Communication with the owners was always pleasant and helpful, and I knew that if I needed them they would be easily reached. The living room was comfortable and views from the large windows made you feel like you were right at the water's edge. Cranberry Lake was an awesome lake to explore. While we rented a pontoon boat for a few days, the hosts supplied guests with a great canoe and four kayaks which we used daily to fish and explore the lake. In the pictures you will see the top of a boathouse lit up at night. This is accurate and more lovely in person. We loved sitting there looking out at the water and watching the passing loons and ducks. We enjoyed all aspects of our vacation in this lovely Adirondack setting. The raft to swim to was enjoyed by us all. The water temperature was warm. All in all this was a wonderful week for our family and a place we would love to return to. We stocked up on groceries in Tupper Lake which was about a 1/2 hour away. Thank you to Dave and Sabrina for your hospitality. We have made memories here that will last a lifetime!

Perfect Summer Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time on our summer vacation. The dock was perfect for our 2 bass boats. When the weather was too ugly to fish, the game room was an awesome alternative with pool and ping pong. The home is beautiful and spacious with all the cooking, baking, and dish ware you could possibly need. The owners provided an easy to understand guide full of helpful information.

Excellent remote property!

We can’t say enough great things about this property. To be honest the pictures don’t do it justice. My family and I knew it was remote, and planned accordingly. We were pleasantly surprised the minute we walked in and saw the view of the lake. The owners really thought of everything, down to every detail, decorated exceptionally, fully functional kitchen with top end everything , game cottage, plenty to do outside for both kids and adults. We had the best time and look forward to staying here again.

Great family stay at gorgeous lake house

This home is just beautiful. Located lake front the views were spectacular. Home is new and the design and decor is so tasteful. So clean and comfortable with cozy beds and inviting furniture, we felt so relaxed. The deck above the boathouse was spacious and got sun all day and the lower decks were nice and shady. The pool house was cozy although on the hot day it was a bit warm in there and couldn’t open the windows because there were no screens. (The mosquitoes and black flies are an Adirondack staple) We were able to use the kayaks and had our own boat making the ample docks great. This kitchen was the best stocked of all the VRBO homes we have rented. Plenty of towels and cozy bedding/throws to snuggle in. Each room had such great art work and prints of Adirondack wildlife, it was fun to go from room to room and admire them. The only real complaint we have is there was no way we could use the fire pit. We had brought wood and s’mores fixings but the fire pit area was flooded from the lake and the drainage off the hill. We made up for this with the games in the family room area. Beautiful home Christmas vacation

We stayed from Christmas to New Year’s Day. Great family vacation, 4 adults and one teen. The home could not have been in a better spot, directly on the lake, what a view! The home was brand new, spotless and had everything you could need. Plenty of towels, shampoo, cleaning supplies and the kitchen was fully equipped from pots and pans, blender and even spices and cooking oils etc. The living area had cards and many board games which we did enjoy. The cottage was fun to play ping pong and pool. We came to the area to do winter sports however weather and Covid made it slightly difficult. Get your lift tickets ahead of time. We did do skiing and snow tubing but did have to drive a bit. There were other winter activities we were able to do in the area. Lake placid was about an hour from the home but well worth the trip. This home would be great in the summer too and we would love to return.

Hop in your kayak and in minutes your can enjoy the lake from a new perspective.
