Modern Rustic Cabin Family GetAway

Our cabin is not a place to stay while you are on vacation... our cabin is the vacation. You can come and enjoy the surrounding areas if you want, but you can also just come and spend the entire time away from the outside world. It is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to just unwind.

Are you looking for a cozy, and quiet get-away spot to rest and relax? SereniTree Cabin is the perfect spot! Located up on a bluff, between Prairie Du Chien, WI and Ferryville, WI, this A- frame cabin gets you within 5 minutes from the river but allows you to be tucked back in a quiet wooded area. (Please note that there is about a mile of gravel that is maintained in order to get to the cabin. The driveway is gravel and a bit steep. During the winter it would be best to have AWD or 4WD) Enjoy your morning coffee in the outdoor room while you watch the deer and birds and relax by the fire table at night. There is plenty of space at SereniTree for enjoying.a movie or family and friends game night! Cabin is best suited for 4 adults. The loft has a king sized bed, then there is also pull out sleeper sofas (Queen beds) in the upper and lower living room. The bedroom downstairs can be set up either with a king sized bed or two twin beds. It is always set up as a king unless the guest specifies they would prefer it as two twins.

The place was cooler than the pictures. Tucked way back in a private community was very cool. Great view of the timber and the animals. Our only complaint is that the remotes need labels, I know first world problems right!! You will not be disappointed with this cabin or the views.

Cozy getaway

This little cabin is wonderfully located nestled in the woods. So quiet and peaceful. A lot of wildlife in the woods in the back of the house. The egg swing chairs were an added bonus for taking in the sunrise and bird watching. This was a much needed sisters weekend and this cabin was cozy, had all the amenities and such a relaxing place.

Cozy Cabin

We chose the coldest three days of the year to travel, so we stayed inside. I received a text from the host that the cabin was ready early if we wanted to get there sooner. I called it cozy, but that was for the atmosphere; the cabin is quite roomy. It had everything we needed for comfort. We brought food and there were ample dishes, pots, pans, etc. We read, knitted, played games (learned Uno Flip provided in cabin), watched the deer out back, enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. It was so relaxing. We would love to return when the weather is a bit nicer to enjoy some outdoor activities.

Wonderful Cabin Getaway

We had a wonderful time on our trip and it was nice to come back to a cozy, clean, and beautiful cabin after long days of sightseeing. Check in was super simple, and the cabin had everything we needed to relax and unwind.

Blown Away

One of the best cabins I’ve stayed at! Fully equipped kitchen with including a crock pot. 2 bathrooms with huge showers. The beds were comfy. The family room is beautiful with huge windows and high ceilings. Smart TVs and strong WiFi. The upper outdoor patio is spacious and comfy. Spent time each night on the patio. The lower patio has a room with a shower and 2 person whirlpool tub. Most cabins require you to bring extra paper products. Not needed at this cabin as there are plenty. The cabin is beautifully decorated with positive messaging throughout. If you want a relaxing vacation this is your spot. Can’t wait to come back.

Friends getaway

Serenitree is truly THE vacation as stated in the listing. One feels welcomed the moment the threshold is crossed and the "at home" feeling just intensifies as you settle in. Great location in the country; wildlife for the seeing every day; well stocked with anything needed. Heidi and Kevin are personable and respond to any questions; great info when booking so we knew where we were going and everything necessary to check in and out. Comfy beds and plenty of space; kitchen was great for meal preparation and I think you could put 2 households of food in the frig, it's that roomy! They've thought of just about anything/everything needed to make for a relaxing, comfortable, out in the country stay. Great location for day trips we had planned and easy to find. We loved our time there and hated to leave...we hope to go back!

I took a short rejuvenating trip and this was the perfect place. What a great way to start your day by sitting on the deck having coffee listening to the peaceful sounds of nature. If you’re looking for a place to just relax and rest, this is the place to go!

Serenity in the Woods

The rental house was everything it was made out to be on the website. Two couples spent a long weekend at the property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable enough (I was glad i brought my own pillow though). The air conditioning was cold and considering it was 90 degrees outside it was much needed. The ladies loved how clean it was. Our only complaint was the ants. Not terrible but definitely noticeable. I guess when you have a place in the woods, there are going to be be some critters around. All in all a great weekend. We would stay again.

Lovely Couples Retreat

We were looking for a quiet getaway and SereniTree fit the bill perfectly. The property is beautiful and the house is well appointed. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed sharing the land with the songbirds, deer and turkeys.

Great for Girls weekend

Such a beautiful, cozy cabin that was perfect for our girls weekend! Great outdoor area, as well as up to date features in kitchen and bathroom. Very nicely maintained and decorated. Would for sure plan another trip here again!

Summer Kickoff

Property was perfect for our short vacation. Mother Nature was slightly uncooperative to allow much use of the grill and deck. Nice and quiet spaces to spend good family time. Well stocked and clean property.

Kevin and Heidi have been high school sweethearts and have been married for 25 years. Heidi grew up in Decorah, Iowa and Kevin in Ossian, Iowa. We live with our family of 6 in Ossian, Iowa. Our oldest four children (William, Dawn, Sami, and Anita) came to us via foster care. We opened our homes and our hearts and we were blessed to welcome them into our family. Then came our son Trevin also via a foster care placement and finally came our youngest Ella. Kevin hauls mail for the US Postal Service and Heidi works as an PrK-8th grade school social worker. Our family is a super busy family and decided that we need a quiet and relaxing place to go as a family and as a couple.

Kevin and I bought a small cabin right around the corner from this one a few years ago. We have enjoyed getting to stay and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life at it. We have enjoyed sharing it with others and decided we wanted to build a larger cabin for families and friends to make memories together at. Vad som gör detta boende unikt

SereniTree Cabin is about 5 minutes from the River. It is fairly secluded and offers a great place to get away. Besides its modern rustic decor it also has a very unique feature. SereniTree offers a jetted soaking tub in a separate space just outside of the basement family room. It allows you to relax in a serene and peaceful area and truly escape it all. If you have been out on the river or out hiking during the day and you want a quick shower before heading inside you can step in there and shower off as well.
