Great getaway spot; responsive hosts.

I stayed here with a group of 8 friends (including myself). Really fun property to have a weekend getaway with beautiful views. The hosts were responsive to a few issues we had at the beginning and did an overall good job of maintaining the property. Some friends stated that the hot water in the downstairs bathroom was not working; I did not verify, but it might be worth asking the hosts about before your stay to see if it's working again.

We were not able to stay at this particular property, but they accommodated us at a different property, which was just as beautiful due to some logistic issues. Definitely would recommend them again. They also gave us a discount due to the change in venue.

Great cabin with challenging access roads

The cabin was fantastic. A few light bulbs needed replacing, and the bedclothes had a slight odor. Overall, I would return. The access road posed a challenge since it was a stone path, especially during the rainy weekend, but it added to the adventure.

New Year’s Getaway

My family and I (sister and her family, parents, and my spouse/daughter) went for a three-night stay and this cabin was perfect! The views are everything!!

Beautiful view and home

The view from this property is one of the best we have experienced.The home is beautiful and well equipped.The beds were comfortable.We did have issues with the hot water in the main level.Manager was quick to respond but the problem was not completely resolved.The water pressure on the main floor was non existent.The house needs a serious deep clean.There was so much dust and hair on the tables, blinds, ceiling fans, and top of the cabinets.They also have a bug problem. I understand we are in the woods. We have stayed at many different places and have not seen this. A monthly bug service would remedy this.The trash was a big problem for us.We had 9 people staying in this house,2 in diapers.The trash cans were full when we got there.The management sent someone out to pick the trash up.They took three bags out of the cans along with the bags we had on the porch which would have been fine because they were supposed to pick the trash up on Wednesday but they did not so we had to call again. No one came out so we had to leave 4 bags of trash on the porch when we left.All of these issues were listed in the reviews which are minor and I do not hold a lot of weight to these things normally because they are usually things that are corrected right away but it appears these issues were not addressed. Porch swing was quite dangerous as well. I would not let my family sit in it. I hope the owner reads the reviews.They have a beautiful home that could be better cared for.

Great Family Vacation Spot

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Murphy, the cabin had plenty of room for everyone and lots of opportunity for outdoor activities on the porches and at the fire pit. would recommend getting there before dark so you don’t get lost on your way up!

Beautiful view but stay out of hot tub

We went up and spent Thanksgiving with another family. The cabin and view was beautiful. However 4 people came home with a rash from the hot tub. Doctor verified. We notified the property owner who refunded us $100. So I guess the inconvenience of a 2 week painful rash and time off for doc appointments was worth $25 per person? They said they have a cleaning crew who said they cleaned it and pretty much left it at that. Even asked for pics of our rashes which we sent. Not impressed and won’t recommend. We use VRBOs at least twice a year and have never left a bad review until now.

Best view yet!!

We loved our stay at this cabin! The drive was not bad at all, but AWD did make it easier. The setup of the house was perfect to give our families privacy, but plenty of common space to hang out. The level with the hot tub is screened in which allows you to enjoy the hot tub, rocking chairs and view anytime. The basement is absolutely adorable with cabin decorations and the second kitchen. Communication with the owner was perfect and we had all questions answered and needs addressed. Plenty to do in the area, we hiked some very beautiful trails and met plenty of nice people in the area. Now the view review, we have lived in the mountains out west and stayed for years in cabins in the smokies and blue ridge mountains—this view is one of my favorites. From any level, 130 degree view and from the top deck well let’s just say I wanted to only sit there the entire time. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us!!

Great view, beautiful home! I could tell it hadn't been cleaned in a little while (not sure when the last guests were there) very dusty!! (I could write my name on tv stand) and floor full of ladybugs stinkbugs and bees, which are usual for the woods..just know it wasn't cleaned within a few days of my arrival.

Excellent winter getaway

This was my first experience with vacation home rentals and this place made me wish I had done this sooner. It was a wonderful stay with beautiful sunrises. Comfortable beds which is super important me. Definitely a place to getaway from the world.

Stunning view of the mountain and very quiet stay, it is a long and steep road up but if you are looking for a great view and quiet neighbors it is definitely worth the drive.

Photos don't do it justice

The view truly is the most amazing thing. The photos capture do not do the actual view any justice! Plenty of space for many people. A few minor issues with the rental but nothing to write about here. You can make it up to the home in a small car during warm months if you are comfortable with driving a curving, gravel mountains roads. If you are not comfortable with that, bring a large vehicle. Host was responsive! I would stay here again!

Beautiful Cabin with a view!

The cabin was perfect and fit all 12 of us well! Having two kitchens with a big group was great. Plenty of space for the kids to hang out with two living rooms, wrap around porches, large yard etc. Location was great, lots of places to hike, we hit the casino (bowling for the kids), horseback riding, and a visit to Blue Ridge.

Weekend get away

From start to finish everything was as hoped for. House was WAY bigger than we expected and the views from the porch were 000 worth the drive. Would definitely recommend 4x4 if there is any kind of weather predicted.
