Vi inbjuder dig att komma och njuta av vår timmerstuga i bergen med utsikt över Entiatbergen, belägen nära Plain, WA. Det ligger på fem tunnland avskilt skog som gränsar till 900 tunnland US Forest Service-land och nära vårt bergstopphus som ligger på en separat paket. Din närmaste granne är 1/4 mil bort. Nära till vandringsleder, längdskidåkning, snöskoter, ridning, släde, pulka, forsränning, fiske och vindsurfing. Ligger 40 minuter från Stevens Pass.

Du kommer att se mer vilda djur i stugan än du kommer att se människor. De enda du ser är din familj och vänner. Uppfarten är 1/4 mil lång från en stenlagd väg som inte får mycket användning. Kom och upptäck och njut av denna speciella plats som vi kallar Sunshine Mountain. Ingen rökning i kabinen, snälla.

På vintern behöver du AWD och goda snödäck för att komma till stugan, det är avlägset. Snöförhållandena kan utgöra en utmaning. Vi håller uppfarten öppen hela vintern men om vi har ny snö eller det är isigt AWD och bra snödäck kommer att behövas. Annars kommer du fastna och det tar lång tid innan en bogserbil svarar.

Peaceful cabin in the woods !

Adorable wooden cabin tucked away in the woods with gorgeous mountain views. Cozy and just minutes from downtown Plain. Such a nice stay!!!

Quiet cabin perfect for disconnecting

The cabin was just as described. It was the perfect quiet escape. Driveway was kept nice and driveable even with all the snow. Plenty of supplies came with the wood burning stove ..

Great Cabin

Great log cabin in the woods. Was a perfect get away, wood stove, everything you needed in the kitchen, very isolated and quiet. Property owner provided great communication. Would recommend for sure.

We loved this remote hide away, close enough Leavenworth to enjoy the sites, yet beautifully peaceful. Lovely cabin. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the mountains.

Great place to see the stars

Great location, overall clean, fun to sleep in a cabin and use the wood fireplace. We were able to go outside at night and look at the stars, seeing the big dipper totally awesome. Autumn in the woods was beautiful, a lot of red leaves, so beautiful.

Amazing mountain getaway!!

We had such an amazing stay at Sunshine Mountain. The location was perfect for my partner and I who were looking to get away for a weekend. We came during the Oktoberfest and the owner left us a list of some things to do in the area so we had plenty to do. The cabin was also so cozy in the mornings and evening. We had a lot of fun sitting on the porch playing board games.

Cozy/Comfortable Cabin

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for a weekend in Leavenworth, not too far of a drive. We loved coming back to a nice/cozy place and relaxing by the fire every evening. The views were outstanding in the morning. Highly recommend!

The Perfect Place

Fantastic mountain getaway!

This property is amazing! We had a wonderful weekend here. Only negative was that our car got stuck in the snow on the steep hill near the top. Property owner was super helpful and understanding. Couldn’t have more great things to say about this place. Would rate 6 stars if I could!

A winter wonderland

This beautiful log cabin couldn’t be more perfect for a getaway. We chose to travel for outdoor snow activities but I’m sure it is as wonderful all year round. Amazing location, great host!

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and immaculately cared for. The property is also gorgeous, and has really incredible views of the landscape. It was a perfect place for my wife and I to go and unwind for her birthday. Jim and his wife are great hosts. We had a snowstorm during our visit, and Jim had someone come to plow while we were there so we could still get in and out. He also offered the bring us food in the event that we were snowed in. Overall a great place and great hosts!

Excellent Stay

We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary, and we wanted a location with seclusion and this property did not disappoint. The pictures of the property do not do it justice! It was more than we could have hoped for. We loved having coffee every morning on the screened in porch while listening and watching all the wildlife. We will definitely be returning again.

Peaceful Retreat

This cabin was the perfect spot for our vacation. With porches and seating on all sides of the house, we were able to enjoy outdoor space every time of the day, from morning coffee to evening cocktails. The views are amazing. It is quiet and private. We loved reading the history of the cabin and the family that built it and have enjoyed it for so many years. The kitchen had everything we needed for making our own meals and the space is just what we needed. Our host made us feel welcome, checked in on us and gave us tips on where to explore and find a cute lunch spot. We hope to be back again!

Fantastic remote getaway

Our 5 days at the cabin was a perfect getaway for our anniversary! Jim and Gerri were great hosts with plenty of communication and assistance. They checked on us to make sure everything was going smoothly and even graveled the driveway to help us get up to the cabin a bit more safely - much appreciated! The cabin itself was beautiful, clean, and surprisingly big. Great amenities, amazing views, and it was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding area from Leavenworth up to Lake Wenatchee. This cabin will be on our short list for places to come back to in the summer. Thanks Jim and Gerri!

Suckers for a Screened Porch

We were in Leavenworth/Plain for a wedding at Mountain Springs Lodge and Jim and Gerri’s cabin was perfect! Close to the venue and town but secluded and serene. Beautiful, clean, comfortable. We loved the screened porch and the view, wished we could have stayed longer than just the weekend so we could enjoy it longer! Jim was very communicative and helpful. Would love to come back if we are in the area again.

Great getaway that’s close enough

Jim and Gerri were great hosts and provided a lot of helpful instruction and detail. The cabin was close enough to all of the major tourist activities to visit them if you want, but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful. Lots of access to wilderness and a very nice cabin to stay in. Be aware, that there’s no wifi and limited cell network access, but that made for lovely evenings curling up with a book or putting in a dvd. The lake is very close l, so bring swimwear and beach gear if you come in the summer. Maybe your fishing poles too.
