Detta är platsen att uppleva en sann Durango semester! Med den otroliga 360 graders utsikt över bergen och obefläckad landskapsplanering erbjuder den nyrenoverade Double J ett fullt utrustat kök, en matsal och vardagsrum med vackert ljus som kommer genom de imponerande 2 våningsfönstren. I vardagsrummet finns en vedeldad kamin för de kalla kvällarna och ett litet bibliotek med böcker som är relaterade till området.

Från vardagsrummet / matsalen är ett rymligt däck, det perfekta stället att njuta av en måltid, eller bara absorbera skönheten i de härliga aspenserna och tallarna, när som helst på dygnet. Utöver de gräsbevuxna anlagda grunderna kan du varva ner medan du tittar på en mängd intressanta vattenfåglar som finns i närheten av dammen. (förlåt, inget fiske!) På bottenvåningen finns ett andra sovrum med två enkelsängar och en stor garderob. Intill detta sovrum är ett rymligt badrum med dusch.

Kabinens övre våning har en stor master svit med king size-säng och ett angränsande sittområde - det perfekta stället att läsa, eller bara slappna av och ta in denna fantastiska miljö. Befälhavaren har ett nytt badrum med en stor jacuzzi, dubbla handfat och en klädkammare.
Kabinens inredning görs i bekvämt Durango-stil, med konstverk som kan skryta med det underbara vilda djur och landskap som detta område är känt för. De höga taken ger massor av naturligt ljus.

Den privata Electra sjön kan nås genom att registrera vid porten; Det är en utmärkt plats för piknik, fiske och båtliv, och det är bara 2 minuter bort. Det finns också en säsongsbetonad restaurang precis vid sjön med gourmetmat. Fånga Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad bara 1/4 mil bort på Rockwood Station. Durango Mountain Resort ligger bara 5 minuter bort. Rid stolhissen under sommarmånaderna och se den imponerande 14.000 foten. San Juan bergen. Anläggningen har också en populär alpin bild, klättervägg och mänsklig labyrint.

Quaint and comfortable

Just what our family of four needed. Beautiful view through living room windows. Less than 10 min. To purgatory. Quiet back road. We'll equipped kitchen. We cooked two dinners and three breakfasts there. Easy check in and out.

Good for a small family

The highs.The location was great, just off the highway with entrance and exit lanes making it easy to access even at night. Under 10 minutes to Purgatory.The heating was great with separate thermostats for nearly every room.Nice little desk to get work done upstairs.The lows.The glass screen door does not close on its own and requires a good amount of force. The sliding glass door to the patio is also difficult to fully close.There is no garbage disposal and the kitchen trashcan does not have a lid. There is no larger bin on property, but requires a surprisingly long drive into the neighborhood to the dumpster.It also would have been nice to have access to the garage so we didn't have to scrape ice off the car in the morning.None of these are dealbreakers and overall our stay was great.and would likely stay again.

Thanksgiving

Beware these places that claim to be pet friendly until you book the reservation. After you pay you get the real pet attitude on what and where your pets can go. Not really pet friendly at all. Yard and deck in back are nice, but no fence between yard and busy corner you are on. Had I known the real attitude towards my pets I world have booked elsewhere. Btw very spendy for non secluded space. En suite master bath remodel was good though…

Great base camp

We used this property as a base camp for our Jeep excursions to Silverton, Ouray, Telluride etc. It was clean and well stocked with a beautiful backyard. Recommend it for small group with a pet.

Lovely location in very scenic spot. Lots of windows with views of trees, landscape, and natural surroundings. Delightful cabin was comfortable, easy parking, full sized washer/dryer, and well supplied.

Beautiful backyard

Great home with an incredible backyard area. Great space for our dogs. Checking in was difficult because the code was sent after I started driving and lost internet, so I had to drive to nearly to Durango to get the code. Owners live next door which caught us off guard and would have been nice to know before I drove back to internet access.

Durango Cabin

The location of the cabin is amazing! There is a little pond with fishes about 15 feet from the property. The cabin was roomy for our family of 4 and provided everything we needed. Response time from the property manager was quick, we definitely recommend this propery!

Durango Vacation

My wife and I stayed at this house for about a week. The location is great, between downtown Durango and Purgatory Ski Resort. A lot of hiking/biking within a short drive. The house had everything we needed. It was very hot the week we stayed there. A window unit AC upstairs cooled things off but was loud and could be an issue if you are light sleeper. The heat is probably only an issue in July. We highly recommend this house and the property management is really great.

Nice for skiing

Property and pictures were exactly as advertised. A bit dusty in places and cobwebs in windows. Would be nice if they upgraded the 1 old couch to an L-shaped couch or at least add a cushioned chair instead of the lawn chair that was there to accommodate 4 people. Other than that, our family enjoyed being close to the ski hill and the beautiful location.

Fall Color in Durango

My husband and I had a wonderful week hiking and mountain biking. The house was in the perfect location. 20 miles north of Durango and the fall colors were magnificent. The house has everything you need to feel right at home. I am so glad I found this place.

Exactly as advertised

The property was immaculate. The setting was beautiful, the furnishings were comfortable with the exception of the Master Bedroom mattress, which was uncomfortably hard.

Great place

I loved the little cabin, the remotish location, the quietnesses of the neighborhood. The pond was beautiful and I loved sitting on the deck. I have a few things that were not how I would have liked. The mattresses were not comfortable. I prefer a more luxurious mattress. These were more econo lodge than Hilton. They were inexpensive standard mattresses that my frugal grandma owns. Second, the jetted tub looked nice, but the hot water heater couldn’t produce enough hot water to fill it. Lastly, please consider changing out the wheels on the sliding glass door. They only last maybe 10 years, and this makes the door difficult to open and close. The only thing that makes me hesitate to recommend this place is the uncomfortable beds. Otherwise, it’s a great place.
