Great stay for the slopes.

Clean, amenities were great in the facility, close to sugar mountain. Will stay again.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here! It is very convenient to the slopes and the shuttle service was excellent. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly in the building. The kids loved the pool. Would recommend for anyone wanting to do a ski trip.

What a fantastic place

First and foremost- this place was immaculate and I’m super picky.. I chose this place because of the previous reviews about its cleanliness and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed our stay so much- everyone at the condos was extremely helpful and welcoming. The view is simply breathtaking and I had such a good time- I considered begging them to let us stay a day or two extra

Always a beautiful stay.

We normally stay in the fall and weren’t prepared for no AC. A quick trip to Lowes for a box fan made it perfect. Other than that, great location, beautiful views and amenities. Stores are close and the mountains are our destination every day.

Clean condo with beautiful views

The condo was a good choice for our family ski vacation to Sugar Mtn. The space is well maintained and updated. The pool and hot tub were enjoyed by all. The on-site security and front desk staff were available, accommodating and friendly. Overall, we had a very good experience! The only thing to be aware of about the building (not about the condo itself) is the parking. Nonresidents must park down the hill from the building, then take a shuttle from the gate house to the building. You can drop off people, bags, ski equipment at the building, but then drive down to the lots to park. It’s an extra step that’s not convenient when you have small children.

Great views, inside and outside needs work!

The first impression pulling up to the condo building was troubling. The outside of the building is cracking and the exterior was peeling off. The lobby was great, fitness center was solid, we did not use the pool or sauna area. Staff at the front desk was nice. When getting off the elevator, the hallways are very drab and have an assisted living facility feel. Once we entered the unit, it was clean however very out dated. I wish the owner disclosed the fact there is a large stain on the ceiling. The heating unit is so loud my wife and daughter could not sleep. We ended up leaving a day early and found other accommodations. There are wires running across the walls in one of the bedrooms and the TV in the room only had two channels. The ceilings are "popcorn" style and falling in an area in the bathroom. It was not a great stay for us and we were very disappointed.

Family Snow Trip

I only have positive reviews for inside the condominium. The condo was great! It was very clean and exactly like the pictures showed online. The condo had everything we needed for meals and to relax. The view was absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed the indoor pool, gym, sauna, and hot tub. The fireplace in the lobby was enjoyable. The following may be due to the holiday season, but the arrival and check-in process needs work. I would like to have known the following, so I am adding this information. Check-in was at 4, we arrived around 5, and made it into the condo before 8 pm. We waited in a line of cars for 1.5+ hours just to get our turn to drive up to the condo to unpack our luggage. After unpacking, my husband had to drive back down, park, and wait on a shuttle back to the top. (Only 5 non-resident vehicles were allowed to unpack outside the main entrance to the condo at a time). On the day of checkout, we left very early just to avoid lines. Upon arrival, I suggest already having your groceries and a full tank of gas before you get in line. Once we learned the parking and walk/shuttle process, we had a great time. Let me say again that the inside accommodations were wonderful and we highly recommend!

Sugartop is NOT Top Notch

We stayed during the week between Christmas and New Years 2023. The shuttle / parking situation is a nightmare. It snowed during our stay (yay!), which meant the Sugartop van with 4 wheel drive had to be used to shuttle visitors to their vehicles—6 people at a time! There was always a line for the shuttle to get to the car! Or we were waiting in the dark and 20 degree weather for 45 minutes for the shuttle to take us to the top after parking. This is not a ski in/ out location. Check in /check out was hotel gridlock—not enough elevators, carts, shuttles, loading zone spaces, etc. The pool and especially the hot tubs look filthy and the chlorine odor is overwhelming! The unit itself is spacious. The view is beautiful. The primary bed is a full size, but comfortable. The unit sleeps 5 but the sleep accommodations for the 5th person is a leather couch with no sofa bed— it was dirty under the cushions (crumbs, remote control, hair). No cable tv, couldn’t get wifi working, ice maker not working and no ice available in the building. Except for the shuttle drivers, the staff at Sugartop is not friendly or helpful. I would not stay here again.

Getaway Retreat

Lovely modern first floor apartment with great views of the mountain - nice size balcony with patio furniture - kitchen has all modern equipment and cooking utensils - master bedroom has en-suite with second bedroom having its own bathroom - lovely on site swimming pool and gym - would definitely recommend and use again.

Perfect location

My family and I made a last minute trip to the mountains and found this place. The owner was quick to approve our stay and very responsive when we had a few check in questions. The unit provided spectacular sunrise views and a perfect view of Grandfather mountain (you can see the swinging bridge if you look close). We were centrally located to a lot of trails, Grandfather mountain, Linville falls and plenty of great places to hang out and eat. The unit has the most comfortable beds, my kids brought it to my attention the first morning 😁. I agreed with them! The building staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. -Kim

Great Stay…Beautiful area!!!

Great stay and very clean unit…. The last full day, the unit above us had a major water leak. The water leaked in our unit… We spent much of the last day cleaning…Not the owners fault!!!

Home away from home but better !

First this was an amazing location on great property that is well maintained by the building staff. The condo and building itself have everything you could need besides food plus some great perks. The heated indoor pool, 2 saunas and jacuzzi are sooo nice to come back to after a full day of outdoor activities ( or just because !). The owners were quick to communicate but honestly I really felt like I was staying at a families home as it is very comfortable and had all of the supplies I needed. I can’t wait to come back .
