Welcome to the Greenhouse, a cozy 3 bedroom, 2 bath house tucked in a quaint neighborhood in the pines. Minutes from downtown Flagstaff, NAU, Snowbowl, the FUTS (Flagstaff Urban Trail System), Flagstaff Airport and more, this newly updated home is a nod to midcentury form and function.
The property is well-appointed with plenty to do for the whole family. A backyard playset, outdoor yoga room, large patio, well-stocked game cabinet and big screen TV are at the ready. If you are planning a flexcation (working vacation), the high-speed internet and private office space will suit your needs.

Located in University Heights, the property boasts a convenient location in a safe, family-friendly community. Situated on a well-maintained paved road with a 2-car garage, there is ease of access whether you are arriving after a long day of skiing or heading out to the North Pole Experience or dinner downtown.

The house is about 1800 sq. ft. and comfortably sleeps 6. The split floor plan has two bedrooms (1 king / 2 twins) and a bathroom on one side and an office / queen bed and bathroom on the other side. Bedrooms are tucked behind pocket doors creating space for privacy and quiet respite.
The kitchen is equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, spices, etc. ‘The Nook’ is a separate dining room with a coffee bar and large, open picture windows. Full-sized washer and dryer are available in the mudroom.
Put your feet up and relax next the fire in the cozy family room or enjoy the crisp mountain air on the back deck underneath the majestic Ponderosa pines and bright starry skies.
Whether this is a week-long family vacation to create memories building snowmen, skiing, sledding or hiking or just a quick weekend getaway for NAU parents’ weekend, we hope that our little midcentury Greenhouse provides the perfect backdrop for your next family gathering.

We love this place!

We’ve stayed at this beautiful home two years in a row for our kids’ NAU graduations. Both stats were absolutely fantastic! The house is beautiful and exactly what we needed for our stay! The location is perfect! Easy check in/out and great communication with the home owners! Would definitely recommend! 10/10

Family stay in Flagstaff

We so enjoyed our stay at this property. It is so well maintained and was a great fit for our family. The one level design was good with a toddler. The older grandson enjoyed playing hide and seek, and the playing on the playset in the back yard. The split floor plan was ideal so that our kids had their own area and we had ours. The kitchen is well stocked, but dishwasher was not working. We would definitely stay here again and it was a good escape from the Vegas heat for our kids. We enjoyed daily morning walks through the neighborhood, a day trip to Sedona, scenic drive back with a stop for lunch along a creek, Bearizona, farmer's market, cute walks downtown and especially the marketplace, the breweries, the train cafe and train at the visitor's center was a hit with our toddler, the parks, and definitely will visit Lowell Observatory when they are a bit older! A big thank you to the hosts for rebooking when we got busy and did not reply to the first email.

Mid-Century Delight!

My family and I stayed at the Mid-Century Greenhouse for about a week. My wife, myself and our two daughters (aged 9 and 11) really enjoyed the house! We used the home as our base of operations to visit Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and Flagstaff itself. The home is pretty close to the interstate (don't worry, you can't hear it) so it makes travel to all of these places very convenient. The house itself was great, the built-ins, huge TV and soaring ceilings really made for a great place to unwind after long days spent hiking. My girls liked the playground in the backyard and running between the pine trees! No complaints from anyone about the beds either which were nice and comfy! I gave 4 stars for check-in because the dead-bolt PIN was listed as two different numbers in the email we were sent and then under check-in instructions from VRBO. We figured it out but there were a few minutes we weren't sure we were going to get in. If we're ever in the Flagstaff area again I will definitely try to stay at the Mid-Century Greenhouse and have no problem recommending it to others.

Very comfortable home for exploring multiple nearby areas

The home is well appointed and extremely comfortable. Our family of four were all happy here. We explored Sedona (an hour away), The Grand Canyon (about 2 hours away) and Snowbowl (about 20 minutes away.) Beds are all comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, and we liked the neighborhood. We did move the sofa so we could watch a movie after a day on the slopes and did move a lamp so we had reading lights in the master but these are so minor compared to how much we enjoyed and appreciated how thoughtful the host is. Definitely a great rental.

Great location with proximity to downtown Flagstaff

This was the perfect location to split time between Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Property owner was very responsive and the house more than adequately supplied with anything you may need for your short visit. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Wonderful stay in Flag

This is one of the best rental properties we’ve stayed at since having small kids. The house was spacious, comfortable and safe for the kids. The location and neighborhood are fantastic. All in all we were very comfortable. We took advantage of the Murphy bed in the office for a fourth bedroom when my oldest was having trouble sleeping. The playground in the backyard was a big hit even in the snow. Can’t say enough good things about the Greenhouse!

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS!

We drove up from Phoenix to have a little staycation and spend Christmas at this property. Let me just tell you, it was a 10/10 experience. The highlights were the beautiful trees in the back and front yard and the log fireplace! It was equipped with everything we needed to cook yummy meals, and play games by the fire! I would recommend this property to anyone! Thank you for making our Christmas spectacular!

Family Polar Express Trip

Overall our experience at the Greenhouse was great. The kids loved playing outside on the playground. There was lots of fun games inside to play as well. Location was great central to everything. Only suggestion would be to stock the kitchen with some basic cooking spices.

Piper and Chris Hunkins är värd

Chris and Piper Hunkins purchased this home to create memories with their growing children who love to ski and snowboard. Chris grew up in Flagstaff and has deep roots here. Piper loves to hike and is drawn to the ponderosa trails. Living in Phoenix, we all welcome the quick trip to cooler climes.
We love this house and all of its midcentury charm. It's a little retro but we think it has a lot of very cool character. We especially like the large outdoor space, inviting our teenagers to get outdoors and enjoy the beauty of this growing little town.
We hope that you and your family love it here as much as we do.
