Generous windows, a beautiful oceanfront setting, and a lovely community swimming pool await at this ground-floor condo in Ocean Place, a private gated community on the southern end of Amelia Island.

Come home from a day spent on the sand to find an open living and dining room with plentiful windows that frame the ocean. There's a full kitchen with a breakfast bar as well as two access points to the patio - one in the living room and one in the primary bedroom. The primary bedroom features a king bed, an open closet, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate tub. The queen guest bedroom has a private bathroom, as does the third bedroom.

Location, location

Ground floor location was great. No stairs or elevator. You walk a few steps off your patio and there is the pool. The boardwalk to the beach is from the pool area, all right next to the condo patio. The condo location is ocean front with easy access to all the island amenities. Comfortable accommodations, smart TV, Wifi, and a bunch of beach toys, umbrellas, and floats. Three bedrooms each with it's own bathroom. Just what we were looking for.

Amazing Location

This Unit is so amazing if you have younger children. The ability for them to run in and out of the first floor patio entrance to the beach and the pool was amazing !!

Perfect for what we needed.

While the condo is dated it is exactly as it looks. We had a disabled person with us so the 1st floor condo was exactly what we needed. There were issues with the ice maker so we bought a bag of ice. One reccomendation, the condo could use some beach chairs.

Great place!

For over 25 years, we have stayed at Saint Augustine Florida and decided to change it up this year. We are so glad we did. My whole family was able to go and the place we stayed in was absolutely perfect. It was very spacious and loved the individual rooms With individual bathrooms. Easy access to the pool and to the beach was an important thing. It was a quiet and very personable place to go. We had one incident with the dryer, which was broken when we first got there and unfortunately got fixed in the latter part of the week but they did fix it and the guy Ben was very helpful and fixed it. Hopefully next year we will be able to stay in the same place. Can’t wait! This is our new destination place.

I did not love anything about this unit except that the location was great! The house was not very clean when we arrived. There were cobwebs everywhere and several lights did not even have light bulbs in them. Also, the front door was a mess and gave a really bad first impression of the unit. A good coat of paint would be very useful and not very expensive. Also, it was very obvious that the entire place could have used some painting and updating. The master bed did not even have pillow shams on the bed, and the shower in the master was full of mold. I had to use lysol spray on the shower before I could use it. The management company gave us the wrong internet password. When I called them, they had no idea what the password was. I finally found an obscure card on an end table that had a different password and it finally worked. The screen on the sliding door going to the patio was torn and was flapping in the wind. But the biggest problem of all was that the patio door could not be locked and we were on the ground floor. There was a pipe to put in the door, but the management company should have known that the door did not lock. The management company did send someone out promptly to put light bulbs in the lights and fix the screen. However, they had to order a part for the lock on the door and it was NOT fixed during our stay. They also gave us a refund for the cleaning fees since the unit had so many problems. Needless to say, I will NOT be staying in the unit again nor would I recommend anyone else staying there until some of the problems are fixed.

Nice condo on the beach

The condo was very nice, spacious, and provided everything we needed for our vacation. We loved being next to the pool as my grandkids visited and got to play in the pool as well as on the beach. Vacasa kept me well informed about every aspect of the rental. There was a high pitched hum coming from the window in the main bedroom. We tried closing the upper window where it was coming from but it wouldn't fully close. Also there was another whistle coming thru the door during the high winds we had. Maybe if there was better insulating trim it would stop that. Other than that, we didn't have any problems and loved the proximity to the beach.

Great Location!

The view and location next to the pool/boardwalk was fantastic! Very accomodating for my senior family members. The unit itself needs some TLC & updates but the basics were covered and the beds were comfortable.

Lovely, relaxing location

Spacious unit. Enjoyed the patio adjacent to the dunes. Adjacent to the pool. Well stocked kitchen. The front door doesn’t give a great first impression but the inside of the unit shows better than the entrance. Beds were comfortable and bedding seemed new.

family trip to the beach

The best thing I can say about this property is that the location is perfect. It is on the bottom level next to the pool and just a staright shot to the beach. Having said that, the place is very outdated, especially for the price. Although it was clean, the front door looks like something from a dirty, cheap motel, the carpets and flooring are very old and the baseboards throughout the place are very scruffed up, scratched and definitely need painting. Also, the mattresses are very old. I wish we had only paid half of what we actually did. We could have stayed in an exclusive hotel for what we paid for this place.

Great location, room for improvement.

We have been fortunate to stay at an Ocean Place condo several times over the past few years. We have not always stayed in the same unit. This was our first stay in this unit, #40. This is the first time we have stayed in a unit that felt more clearly a rental than a very nice condo. It was nice in some respects, and left some things to be desired in others. In general we felt the tile floors may have been swept but were not really clean. Even the entrance door was quite dirty, not what we’ve come to expect in a condo at this location. So someone might be running a sweeper, but accumulated grime is present. Windows were also grime coated in the outside, and patio furniture was beyond incidental cleaning from wind blown dust. We understand and expect that outdoor furniture cannot be used without some routine light, last-minute cleaning. These were off limits for us. Even in February there are often some days worthy of an outside space; sunshine and 65 degrees yesterday. In the master bath the toilet is not secured to the floor, it rocks and any remaining seal from a wax ring has to be at risk. A mirror hung behind the toilet in that space is weird, think about it. The shower door is sufficiently mis-aligned that closing it fully jams the lower free corner, and makes opening feel the glass door is at risk of fracturing. Grout in the shower is in need of both cleaning and restoration. There are substantial voids present. There isn’t a place for anything but a soap bar and a towel rack in the shower. Does anyone use just a bar of soap exclusively today? The recent custom of a quilt type bed covering for decor and sleep and no bedspread is normally not objectionable. Both king beds had such quilts, both were clearly soiled. Really? How does that occur? This is a major flaw, we were not using all the beds so when we abandoned one and tried the second quilt it was not good for confidence in overall cleanliness. In the second bedroom bath combo, the toilet tank lid was glued back together which was sort of understandable, but for a $350/night rental it seems tacky. Linen supply was adequate everywhere except kitchen. One kitchen towel. No potholders found. A used sponge for the sink. Both nonstick frying pans aren’t ….. nonstick any longer. Sufficient deterioration has led to necessary replacement.
