Family Trip

We picked this house specifically for its location close to Peoria sports complex for spring training as well as the house size and the pool and hot tub. Location was great, house was big and accommodated is well. We were bummed there were no card games or board games of any kind that many vacation homes we have stayed at in the past have had. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the hot tub was broken, it never went about 80 degrees during our stay and it was dirty and the lining was broken/cracked. We had asked if the pool was heated and were told before booking that they were working on it but there was no guarantee and it was indeed maybe 50 degrees, but we expected that. We let the property manager know right away that the hot tub was not broken and were told someone would be out to repair it, but no one ever showed and so we were not able to use neither the pool or hot tub during our trip. There were no apologies or attempts to remedy the situation further. We asked if we could have a later check out time and the property manager did not even bother to respond back to us. All in all, our trip was fun but not because of this property and I unfortunately would not recommend it to anyone based on our experience.

I’m not sure you really want this evaluation. We arrived thinking we had a deluxe heated jacuzzi. There were no instructions on how to get it going and no assistance available from the host. Once the “pool guy” was not available on Checkin night, we were out of contact w the host until after we checked out. Essentially, we were “ghosted”. She was very good on the way in, and after we checked out, but literally nothing in between after that first issue. In my mind, it should’ve been ready when we got there so we could use it. The reading was 65° in the water. It randomly turned on and off, but again no instructions. This was a significant feature, not just for us, but the owners who had it in their banner posting. That feature should be operational, with instructions, and also, some cover to keep the heat on. It would be well worth it to you. On our third day, this section of the curtains fell down on the couch. We tried to reattach it, but it had been repaired so often that there was nothing left for it to attach to. The heavy curtain was not attached to a stud, but just sheet rock. We are very disappointed and feel a partial refund is in store. My grandsons were able to use the pool, but the deluxe jacuzzi is anything but for us. 1/3 of the cost seems to be appropriate. If not, we will do what we can to post accurate info on this listing.

Great house!

This house was a perfect fit for our extended family in town for baseball! It is a beautiful house, well kept, clean and well supplied! I have a few questions for Cassandra during our stay and she responded quickly and got Is what we needed! I hope we can get this same house next spring break!! Thanks so much!
