Perfect cabin

We have stayed before here and loved the size and location of the cabin. Easy access in an out and close to the main road.It’s a perfect size for 2 people.

It was a great stay in a vosy cabin. Plenty of food options nearby with some local shopping. Barely left the cabin during our 3 day stay, which was the plan.

Great little cabin!

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet weekend away for our 1 year wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed this little cabin. The cabin was clean and provided everything we needed. The communication with the host was a little delayed, but we did get all the information needed. The lock on the door is a little temperamental and should probably be fixed but we figured out how to get in after looking for a key. The bed was also very comfortable!

Beautiful couples getaway

The cabin was stunning and close to town. The owner was very professional and flexible with us as we arrived early and need to check in to prepare for a wedding. We ran into the cleaners who said they got word of a rush job so we could have it early! We so appreciate the hospitality!

Cute cabin & Great location

Cabin is so cute and clean. Received code to get in ahead of time, didn’t work for us but a woman showed up right when we pulled up and got us in. Enjoyed the cabin and the area very much. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice, secluded cabin

We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay there again. The WiFi is slow, so contact with the host takes a little bit for the code. I would suggest contact them before you get to the cabin. It is located in a great spot.

Amazing

It was very easy to get to the cabin. The cabin was beautiful. We got lucky and got a firework show on the 3rd of July just right down the street from the cabin. Awesome. Would definitely go back!

Nice Property

The cabin was lovely. The refrigerator had broken shelves above the fresh veg keeper. The parking was not sufficient for our pontoon boat and was difficult to manage with our truck and trailer. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Eclipse weekend

I booked over a year before my stay so that we would be in a good spot for the solar eclipse. Later when I read some prior reviews I became worried about access and communication. Turns out that communication with the host was terrific, she always responded. Access was easy with a code and backup lockbox. Lovely place, we enjoyed our stay and would book again if we are in the area.

Rainbow Lodge

The cabin is very well appointed and equipped. Comfortable and enjoyable, we would stay in this one again. The one issue we had was getting the access code for entering the cabin from the host, Stephanie. We had to contact VRBO support, and they booked us at the “Hochatown Logde”, which we did not stay at, because they were able to secure the code. There may be an issue of charges for the hotel room.

Cozy Cabin

Lovely property close to great areas for food and fun. Highly recommend grabbing pizza at Grateful Head down the road. Check - In information was a bit confusing. The original vrbo message said we would recieve access codes a few days before, however, I checked with the vrbo host the day before and was told we would receive access info the day we checked in. Check in was set for 4pm and we didn't receive the access codes until after I messaged them on vrbo again after 4pm. We received the codes around 4:30pm via vrbo so the response rate was quick.

Wedding night

It was mine and my husband’s wedding night we spent lots of money to stay one night in this cabin we walk in the trash hadn’t been taken out the bed was a mess the pillows and blankets from the bed were thrown on the couch the towels in the bathroom hadn’t been changed they were wet and dirty laying by the sink. We made the best of it but it would’ve made our night more enjoyable if those things had been done especially since we spent so much money

Host never gave access! Had to pay for another rental last minute!

We messaged the host the day before, and hour before, and as we arrived asking for the access code. No response. We called the number for her and it said it was not accepting calls. Had to call VRBO and was on hold while they tried to contact her and they had no luck. Check in was at 4 and by this point it was almost 8. We ended up having to find another cabin last minute costing us more money. VRBO says they are working on a refund but we are still waiting on that. Heard from the owner late at night with a message that says she meant to send the email the day before but that it didn’t go through, even though all the reviews say she told people she doesn’t send it until the day of. She has a history of this. She shouldn’t be allowed to rent on this site. Our weekend was mad 10x more stressful after having to come up with an additional $500 on the spot to find a place to stay.

Nice property but frustrating experience

Nice and very clean 1 bedroom cabin. We stayed 4 days. Check in was not smooth. We did not receive the door code as there was a problem with the app. Code was not included in the welcome email. We had no problem accessing our email. Owner responded very quickly via an email with the code. Lighting in kitchen and bathroom was not good, could use higher voltage light bulbs. Cabin is located close to road that was fairly busy early in the mornings (7 am) with some road construction across the street. A very large cabin across the street had about 12 people staying there who partied late and were up early. They were outside in the back yard most of the time having fun, so it was loud. Unfortunately that meant we were up late at night and up early in the morning whether we wanted to be or not. We were very frustrated with no internet connecton for the TV. TV couldn't even access local TV stations. There was a router but no receiver to plug the HDMI1 cable in too. Owner did not respond for 2 days then the response was unacceptable, offering no help and telling us they do not provide cable or other network options. This was not mentioned in the cabin description. We did enjoy our stay in Hotchatown but we would not have rented this particular cabin had we known there was no internet/network connection. It did not even have any sort of antenna, so that you could get a local TV station. For first thing in the morning and before going to sleep at night, we always watch TV.
