With 3,700 square feet of living space and an expansive 2,000 square feet of covered lanai, it’s built for both comfort and unforgettable sunsets.

Thoughtfully designed for family bliss. Inside, you’ll find two living rooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a Sub-Zero fridge, propane stovetop, and walk‑in pantry—perfect for preparing meals or gathering with family. A dedicated keiki (children’s) play area comes with a small table and chairs, toys, high chair, and pack‑and‑play, making it ultra‑family-friendly.

Comfort in every room. All four bedrooms feature air conditioning—though the common living spaces remain open-air, embracing that beautiful Hawaiian breeze. The primary suite on the ground floor includes a king bed, TV, and walk-in closet, connected via a Jack-and-Jill bathroom to a second king-bedded room. An additional full bath opens to the lanai and pool area for added convenience. Upstairs, you’ll find a third bedroom with one queen and two twin beds, as well as a fourth bedroom with a king bed—serviced by a full bathroom with double sinks.

At one point our granddaughter while sitting on the beach asked "Is this dream?"Great snorkel sites within an easy drive from the home. Fantastic vacation in an awesome home. Perfect!

We were two families traveling together - 4 adults and 5 children, ages 12-16. This house was absolutely perfect. The pictures don't do it justice as it is quite a bit larger than it appears. The outdoor space is plentiful and there are so many different areas to hang out. It rained a few days and because so much is covered, we still enjoyed the outdoors. The rooms are all sizable and the two main living areas are quite large. The location was also great, just steps to a nice beach (where you can watch the sunset) and only a short drive to the resort areas for groceries, restaurants and shopping. You can't go wrong with this house and 2 Papayas does a lovely job managing it.

The snorkeling was very good too. Good for multi-generational groups. The house was equipped with just about anything you could want and Mary was great support. Please be aware that the kitchen and living rooms are not air conditioned and can get hot in the afternoon. The heated pool was a lovely way to cool off. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, especially the dark skies at night. We saw many shooting stars in August.

Absolutely Stunning!

We could not have been happier with this amazing rental! It was just perfect for us. The home itself is incredibly well appointed with everything you could think of, including the sweetest welcome basket with local products (Kona coffee of course) and some lovely papayas. It was so thoughtful and had a great little note to greet us and start our stay. The beds were super comfortable, linens and all the surfaces sparkling clean, the kitchen had all the essentials and more including a Brita filter for daily hydration, filling all our Hydros and taking care of the earth with way less plastic. Loved that! There was ice and extra's throughout the entire home. The backyard....seriously....the pool and patio area...dreamy. Coffee in the morning...staring at the ocean! I can't wait to go back! And the walk to the beach! So quick and such a great little path. The beach had a fantastic view of the sunset every night and the snorkeling during the day was some of our best memories and favorite snorkeling of all time. We were able to see 4 different octopus! Unbelievable. Communicating with Mary was lovely, every conversation from her checking on us to make sure everything was as it should be to answering any of our questions. Mary is a gem and I would work with her anytime. Over-all, I would highly recommend and encourage anyone to rent this amazing place.

Family Vacation

Perfect vacation house

Our family of 10 enjoyed a week at Puako and were so sad to leave. The house had everything we needed, as well as a pool that the kids loved and a small beach with great snorkeling. Larger beaches were within a short driving distance. The house is comfortable but not fussy and Mary the property manager was so great with communication. We hope to be back!

We live full time in Northern California, and began to visit the Big Island in 2015. It's an easy flight from SFO and it's a spot our kids love to come to.


Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We were drawn to this property for its quiet location just steps from the beach. We had rented houses nearby and loved being able to walk back and forth to the beach as need be. It is so relaxing not to have to get into the car very often.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

It has an easy, relatively sandy entry into the water. The snorkeling and paddle boarding is great when it's calm; my kids tell me the surfing is great when it's not. Sitting on the beach with a cup or coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset is magical.
