Welcome to the Pelican Cabin at Pelican Lake. The Pelican Cabin is one of two identical cabins on the lake shore of Pelican Lake. The Pelican Cabin is a rustic two bedroom, one bathroom, living room, and small kitchen fully equipped with a stove/oven, microwave and refrigerator. Also on the property is a bar/restaurant, PB&J's Bar, to enjoy a cocktail and bar bites. The Pelican Cabin is a great location to be anytime of the year. We are adjacent to snowmobile and UTV trails. Approximately 30 feet from the water with a dock for your boat. Come ready to fish, trail ride, or spend the day on the lake. Enjoy a round of golf at near-by Bass Lake Country Club, or try your luck at Mole Lake Casino. Pontoon boat available to rent.

Quick stay, just what we needed’

Although we were only there two nights, it feels like our home away from home. The cabin is nice, the views are amazing and the atmosphere on the area is very welcoming.

Beautiful location

Nice cabin, wonderful location, a little noise the first night due to patrons from the bar being close to our bedroom window. Trouble with Wi-Fi but owner responded quickly and got someone to assist.

Quaint and comfortable

We really enjoyed our time in the lake. The cottage was clean and comfortable and located in a perfect spot just feet from the lake. All of the toys that were available on property were great. We loved kayaking and canoeing. Thank you!

A quiet relaxing cabin

We all enjoyed the lake view, cabin was nice and clean, fishing was spotty, but no fault of our host. We wanted relaxing time and that is what we got.

Great getaway on the water

This is our 3rd stay with Curt and Penny, and it was great! Quaint, clean, stocked Pelican cottage that slept 4 adults comfortably. Curt was very easy to communicate with while we were there. Overall great stay!

An awesome weekend!!

Was so impressed with hosts James and Penny and their property along Otter Lake. Great location, as Boone and I enjoyed a nice hike at Hartman's Creek State Park, fishing on three different lakes, nightly fires, and Harvestfest at Kings, Wis just around the corner. Will book again. Thank you!

Wonderful Weekend Getaway!

This was our second time staying in one of Penny and Curt's properties, and we weren't disappointed! The cabin was clean and well stocked, had a fabulous view of the lake, and was just the right amount of space for two couples. We look forward to our stay next year!

Spring fishing trip

Great location to fish many lakes in a short radius. On site bar the walleye was great. The host responses were very fast and willing to help with any question or concern.

Ice fishing get away.

My wife and I joined a group of friends to fish on Pelican Lake. The cottage was a great location to join the other party and to get around the lake on our rented snowmobile.

Nice clean cabin. Caught a bunch of fish. Had some awesome neighbors Matt and Jodi. Had a great time at PB & Js with pat and Barb. Good food, good people and good times. Ill be back.

Our stay was nice. The lake wasn't what we were looking for! Fishing was a waste of time ;(

The rental property was very nice. I'd say the rental is more of a snow mobile/ ATV place. The fishing/ water wasn't what we were looking for. The water was rough. The first full day at the cabin the lake has a MASSIVE algae bloom it was HORRIBLE.

Perfect Lake House Stay

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at The Pelican Lake Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. From paper towels and garbage bags to hair dryer and beach towels. We spent 90% of our time sitting with our pup at the outdoor table set. The water was steps away and shallow with Sandy bottom so it was easy to get in and float, swim, use the on-site kayak etc. there was also a grill and corn hole (bags). The on-site bar restaurant had music but you could not hear it from the cabin, even with the windows open. The staff at the restaurant really friendly and the food good. We look forward to staying again in the future.

Mouse in bedroom. Place has a rodent problem

Saw a mouse in the bedroom. Contacted owners after the first night, but had to spend another night due everything full in the area. There were traps when we arrived, so owners know they have problem. Saw at least 2 places where mice can get in. Cleaning was less than average.

The Scariest Experience I’ve Ever Had

The first issue I and my family encountered was the fact that the host told us that the cabin we rented was ready for us to check in. After driving five hours to get there we were confused when we saw a bar and then figured out that our cabin was behind a bigger house. After looking around we finally get to our cabin and as we try to go in, the door was locked. We call the host and the host says that more than likely one of the other guest got confused and checked into our cabin by mistake. She said that she would confirm and call us back. Then she texted us back and said that we can just take the cabin next door that’s supposed to be identical to the cabin we rented. I and my family proceeded to the next door cabin and unpacked all of our things. We tried to enjoy the sites on the lake and teach our kids to fish. We had been waiting for this family vacation for so long and worked so hard. We were having fun and finally got tired and went to sleep. Then at 3am my dog starts barking because there was two people at the door angrily yelling and knocking that we have to get out and to open up. I was exhausted but got up before my wife to see what was going on and as soon as I open the door; I have two people telling me that I have to pack up and leave their cabin immediately. These people proceeded to tell me that they had spoken to the host (Penny) all morning and she told them that their cabin was ready for them to check into. I told them that she had told me and my family to take this cabin because ours was occupied. It turns out our cabin was not occupied and that these people had never checked in and Penny never bothered to call them to ask if they had really checked into our original cabin. The other guest asked us for proof and thankfully I had a text to prove that I was telling the truth. Then both I and the other guest started to call Penny to see how this issue could be resolved because clearly the other guest needed a place to sleep. Penny finally answered her phone and then told the other guest that there was a spare key to our original cabin that we had rented in the garage of the main house. My wife proceeds to write down the code and we helped the other guest get into the other cabin to sleep. As a person of color in a gun touting state; that was the scariest experience I have ever had. Penny put both my family and her other guest in a dangerous situation. My whole family was terrified and I couldn’t sleep. We left the next day.
