French doors open to a deck and huge yard that meets the wetland and walking path around the ponds. Less than 2 miles from the house, enjoy kayaking and walking the Luckiamute Landing Trails at the confluence of the Luckiamute, Santiam and Willamette rivers. Break from city life

It was great to spend a few quite days in the country while visiting family in the area. I hadn't slept so well in a long time. Definitely would stay again.

Super cute relaxing getaway!

Lovely peaceful cottage

Our stay was exactly what we needed - a peaceful getaway not far from shopping and activities. It was a wonderful experience in a beautiful home. Kitchen had more than most - Keurig, slow cooker, Instant Pot, even an immersion blender, and was thoughtfully stocked with all coffee supplies including sugar, creamer, and coffee syrups, oatmeal, and plenty of spices and other cooking staples. Bathroom had all necessities, including plenty of towels, toilet paper, hair dryer and first aid supplies. The huge soaking tub was a much appreciated bonus. It snowed while we were there but we stayed warm inside due to individual thermostats in both bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen, as well as a gas fireplace in the living room. Lots of windows allowed the light to shine through. I loved it and appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome.

Amazing and quiet escape

Stairs hard no hand railing to go up stairs

The stairs were difficult going up steep no hand railing. Oven burner on right would not stay in took 2 hours to do breakfast. The residence was very nice and clean but very far out from stores and I didn’t plan well so didn’t get enough stuff otherwise cute

Lovely, clean, and well stocked!

We loved our stay. I’ve been in a ton of short term rentals and this was the best stocked one ever! Anything you can think of, they had. It was very clean and cozy, the grounds and views were stunning. Just a little caution if you are sensitive to noises while sleeping, the heaters click all night long. Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well between that and the rock hard beds. The memory foam topper only does so much. We are both hurting and tired after our stay, but overall, it was a great experience.

Still Awesome

5th time staying at this gem. Wildlife in abundance. There must have been a dozen wild turkeys wandering around the property. Blue Heron, Canada Geese, woodpeckers and more. Oh, flannel sheets, so comfy.

Perfect everything!!!

This property was the perfect place for a quiet, peaceful and comfortable visit. It had EVERYTHING to make a stay perfect! The beds were so comfortable, the space was so clean and cozy.. we could not ask for more! We loved being able to step out onto the deck and hear the birds (or view with the provided binoculars). I hope to have a reason to come back to this area, I would stay here every time!

Great House in a wonderful location

The house is absolutely perfect and in a wonderful and very quiet spot. We really loved it there. We were there for three nights and would come back any time if ever in the area. The house was equipped with everything, beds are great and porch wonderful with a great view.

Relaxing place to call home base.

Instead of staying in Salem, we found this awesome rental just out of town. It is among rolling hills of farmland. House was clean and impressively updated.

Thrilled With Our Stay!

We are so glad we chose this property for the week we were in Albany for our daughter’s wedding! The hostess is thoughtful and accommodating. It was VERY clean. The house is well maintained with quality updates. It is nicely furnished and well appointed with cozy additions like blankets on the couch, battery operated candles and a gas fireplace stove. Everything was labeled for ease of use—light switches, remote controls, etc.. Lots of games and some books stored in an accessible and tidy way. The expectation of us as guests was clearly presented and appreciated. We were surprised and thankful for all of the bed pillows and bedding available. Plenty of bath towels and convenient extras like shampoo, body wash, etc., Q-tips, make-up remover towelettes, and mouthwash. There were snacks provided that came in very handy more than once during our busy days. We loved the location—close to town but felt secluded. Our girls loved walking around the pond and the wild blackberries were ripe, plentiful, and tasted amazing. We were familiar with the area since we lived in Albany previously, but for those who have not, there was an abundance of information to peruse about all there is to see and do, as well as dining options nearby. My mother has stayed at several vacation rentals and she was highly impressed with this one and commented that it FAR surpassed her previous experiences. In summary, we really loved staying at this property and it exceeded our expectations.

A rural delight!

Wonderfully updated home away from the hustle of the city. Great area for hiking, biking and paddling. Kitchen, bathroom, porch, and propane grill were all first rate. Comfortable beds, washer and dryer, and a great soaking tub. The longer we stayed, the more fun things we found to do!

Home away from home and even better ❤️

This was our 2nd stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The attention to details is outstanding. Amazing good nights sleep in the comfy beds and morning coffee on the deck with the birds was such a joy! They even provide binoculars to enjoy the view! Was able to cook meals with everything at our finger tips! Nice to have such a comfortable place to come back to after a day to exploring Oregon, including Canon Beach!! Will come back for sure!

Great getaway

Loved this property, everything inside the house was immaculate but homey. We also enjoyed the deck and the bbq and the views and sounds of wildlife made our stay very relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Immaculate

This is a roomy, perfectly appointed house that feels independent from the nearby house. Appliances, controls, Internet were all flawless. We have a toddler so I needed to elevate some things he could reach for. We did need to protect him from getting his head stick between mattress and window sill which was easy to do with the extra pillows. It is situated in orchards and overlooks a several-acre wetland with plenty of birds. There was a turkey gang when we arrived but I never spotted those again.

We are a mother-daughter team who love traveling, camping, hiking, gardening and bird watching. Dee is a long-time residence of the area since relocating for love from Vancouver, Canada in the early 1950’s. Kathryn and her husband moved into the Anderson dairy farm almost 30-years ago. Over the years, Kathryn and her husband have been reclaiming the land back into the original wetlands from a soggy hay field. They planted trees and dug the ponds then waited while nature did the rest. Soon after the ponds were done, birds, frogs, fish, beaver, otter and other wildlife moved in. We love to watch the wide variety of activity on the 15 acres and look forward to sharing the experience with you.

The view from the deck and back yard provide closeup bird and wildlife viewing opportunities not found most places. In the spring, you can watch proud Canada Geese parents out with their Goslings feeding in the lawn and swimming in the pond. The evening brings out hundreds of Swallow's feeding over the pond. At night you will hear Coyotes howling and see owls silently hunting for their dinner.
