Great Stay!

The place is great, lots of room to sit in the main area, beds were comfortable, and a full kitchen with enough utensils/cookware to be able to make meals. We didn't take advantage of any of the Big Canoe amenities, but there is no shortage of things to do there. Some loungers or rockers on the porch would have been nice, to enjoy the view from the deck. If you have more than 2 cars, you're going to have to park about 1/4 mile away - and it's a very hilly walk, so you'll have to organize cars to pick up & drop off.

Great home base for an endurance race

This was a wonderful home for 4 families! The porch and deck area is a great addition to let our kids run around. Loved the house, had plenty of room. I do wish there were more than 2 parking spots, but that appears to be the case for the whole complex. Also, if you’re traveling with kids, make sure you check out the playground in the complex! A great playground that was a 3 minute drive from the house. Highly recommend

Beautiful area!

The house and neighborhood were both beautiful! Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate but when the fog and rain cleared out the view was very nice. My only complaint would be the parking, there was only parking for two midsize vehicles.

Quaint Cottage

We loved the cottage, but the parking was not conducive to the amount of people the cottage sleeps. Only parking for 2 cars - very claustrophobic. We found many dead cockroaches and some live ones too. The queen bed upstairs needs to be replaced. There was a big hole in the mattress. Other than that, the cottage was very homey and pleasant.

Perfect Long Weekend!

This home was perfect for our long weekend and hard to leave! We spent so much time in the open kitchen and family room because the views were incredible. We hiked each day to gorgeous waterfalls and the kids loved the pool. Amazing stay! We will return!

Family Reunion

This house is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of beds and bathrooms for 12. We enjoyed the screened in porch, grill, and hot tub. Beautiful views from the living room windows. This house is situated close to the tennis courts and Beach Club. Our family ranged in age from 83 to 13. We enjoyed a whole day of activities at the Beach Club: swimming, paddle boards, canoeing, volleyball, and the Rock slide. If we had stayed longer, we would have enjoyed the trails. It was a great stay in a peaceful setting!

Birthday Weekend

We had a great stay at the Lazy Lodge. The kitchen is well stocked, beds comfortable, plenty of towels. Hot tub was relaxing, the view was amazing. Had a great weekend stay!

Very well thought out.

Very good. It had everything a large group needed, and was very accommodating for all of our age groups. They even supplied baby gates and the decor was safe enough that it didn't take much to baby proof it.

Vacation at Big Canoe

Lovely cabin, great directions, easy access. Lost water due to broken pipe which made things difficult for a day and 4 of our party left early due to little ones needing a bath etc. which was unfortunate.

Beautiful!

This is our second time at Big Canoe and the area is great. This property was beautiful.. almost too big because we didn’t touch two bedrooms! The hot tub was nice to sink into each evening and the movie room was a perfect spot to relax and all be together. Pics don’t do the place justice. Thank you!

Happy 30th Birthday

Fantastic weekend at Lazy Lodge celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday. Easy access in and out of the community and felt super safe. The entire house was perfect and slept 12 adults comfortably. We had a great time!!

Aged and Beautiful

The house does show a few signs of it’s age (a difficult to open freezer, no clear filtered water access), but overall the house was beautiful and comfortable. The neighbors are not smacked right up next to you, so that is nice! It was quiet and peaceful. One window was jammed slightly open and letting cold air in, but the management got someone to come resolve the issue that day with no problem.
