Gorgeous views of Lake Lytle await you from both inside and out at this classic, three-story, Oregon Coast home, while miles of sandy beach can be found just a short walk from your door. For mealtimes, the well-equipped, full kitchen is located right off the deck on the main floor, where you'll also find a private gas grill for summertime cookouts. Plus, the open-concept kitchen, living area, and dining area create an ideal atmosphere for socializing and entertaining. This home also includes a garage game room with an air hockey table that's ideal for post-beach fun.

Outdoor activities include birdwatching and wildlife viewing at the lake, fishing for smallmouth bass, perch, and stocked rainbow trout off the public dock, and exploring the many shops and excellent restaurants less than a mile away in nearby Rockaway Beach. The fun is never-ending at this delightful, family-friendly vacation home!

Nice stay

Love Misty Mountain House

I loved the comfort of this property and the lovely view of the lake and “misty mountain”. Also an added treat, waving to train riders going by. Will definitely rent this property again and again

Great spot for a family beach getaway

We absolutely enjoyed this house - it was well stocked for our family with little children. The location is perfect and the view from the living/dining spaces were incredible. Highly recommend and we will certainly try to stay again in the future.

Comfortable family space for beach fun

This house was a great fit for our needs. Beautiful view of the lake, and an easy block walk to the beach. Everything was spotless and so well stocked, we had all the kitchen items we needed and more. For families with younger kids or a different combination of adults, it’s worth noting that the bedrooms are all on different floors and the master (top floor) has a bathtub (no shower). We were absolutely delighted with our stay, and hope to be back again.

Another great stay at Misty Mtn

I love the big mainfloor windows. Let's lots of light in even on overcast or rainy days. Big dinning table offers lots of space for everyone's activities outside of meal times. Loved loved our stay in Rockaway Beach. So tranquil.

Everyone enjoyed the stay in the house… clean, spacious living space.

A great Family get away with my daughter and her family from out of town. This is their first time in Rockaway Beach. Such a great middle ground for the other beaches we visited in our trip. The house had space we needed.

Family getaway

The house is very clean great location and is fully stocked with all the needs. Great movie options and the kids room was great lots of board games and toys to keep them busy. Having the bikes available to use was a great bonus to our stay.

Perfect place by the beach

I was impressed by how well this was geared towards bringing the grandkids! And…one block from the beach! My favorite part! We enjoyed it so much that we did alot of the cleaning ourselves before leaving, so the housekeeper had a lighter load. My one and only complaint: the top floor bedsheets need thrown away! They feel like horrid sandpaper. Luckily i brough a blanket to lay on instead. House is NOT as big as photos show. Lol

Beach house

We recently stayed in the beach house and loved the location and kid amenities included at the house. They supply one garbage sack in the kitchen with a trash can that fits under the sink. We had a week long stay and were told to "supply our self with our needs" meaning go buy some. The bathroom in the basement had a cracked toilet seat so you would get pinched when you sat down and the shower head was broken when we arrived. I think a few things could be improved for the price paid.

Black mold & not well maintained

There was black mold all over shower doors & in grout in bathrooms & kitchen. There was also an ant problem in kitchen. Vacasa (manages property) are totally dropping the ball. We had 6 guests staying for 8 days & Vacasa only provides very cheap & limited supplies (1 ply tp, paper towels, 5 dishwasher & laundry tabs). The "clean" bath towels had sand in them. Also, too many stairs for my elderly terminally ill mom. I put her in the master bedroom located up a steep staircase because the bedroom on main level has bunk beds & the basement bedroom was tiny & cold. On a more positive note, the owners provided an air hockey table, beach chairs, bikes & more. Unfortunately, none of it has been well maintained. The air hockey table doesn't really work, the chain on kids bike came off 5 times during a bike ride, & the beach chairs were dirty with unidentifiable smuts. However, the location of home was pretty good. Close to beach & w/in walking distance of town/restaurants. Overall, black mold is unacceptable & something I have never encountered in any VRBO rental before. I would not recommend until mold problem is dealt with & property receives proper & consistent maintenance.

Coast Trip

It's a great house in a quiet town. Best bang for your buck on the Oregon coast in my opinion. The home was clean, beds were comfortable and the garage was packed with beach stuff like chairs, kites, boogie boards. I would stay here again.

Marvelous Misty Mountain House

Great location and lots of accessories

You had a great time during our stay here. We stayed for five nights at the end of August. It is literally a half block to the beach. Great views of the lake opposite. The train tracks are not used in front of the house. The train runs from Rockaway Beach South to Garibaldi. So even though there are train tracks, you don't have any trains coming by. You will hear the train whistle go off at 11:00 a.m. in the morning when the train is running down to Garibaldi. House has three levels. We only use the top two levels and the items in the garage. They do have beach chairs and tote bags and even a kite for flying on the beach. We found the accessories to be very well thought out and in good condition. There is no beach umbrella though, so bear that in mind. You may need to bring some shade with you if your plan is to be at the beach all the time. The bikes are also very useful for biting down to the store to grab some essential items. Some things to note. When we arrive there were ants on the kitchen countertop. Not a lot but there were definitely ants there. Second, the upstairs master bathroom seems to have a leak around the base of the toilet. We rarely use this bathroom so this was not an issue for us but this needs to be addressed as there was always a little water on the floor around the base of the toilet. Last, one of the dining chair legs was broken. My son almost fell off of it when he sat down. I'm sure this could be addressed with some wood glue, but just in case wanted to put it out there. Other than the small items above we had a great time. The house was clean. It was well taken care of and the accessories inside made our trip just that much better.

Winter retreat

This home is very comfortable (we had 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog) and stayed 4 nights. We'd rate it excellent! Kitchen was great: nice art supplies for the kids; air hockey game. The house was well-stocked for the 24 hour power outage we experienced (rain and wind storm in December) - lots of candles and a gas barbecue grill on the deck right outside the kitchen. Good beach and lake access.

Best of both worlds

A fantastic view over the lake, and just steps away from the beach, it’s the best of both features. Not to mention the multiple bald eagle sightings! Plenty of nearby restaurants, shops, and groceries just minutes away.

Great location

Amazing Home Close to Beach

We are a family from 2 to 72 years old and we all had a great time here! The home is clean and comfortable. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. A few things to note: -The loft area upstairs is so great for kids but the slats in the railing are very far apart and was a safety concern for us. We always made sure the kids had someone upstairs with them. - There is a nice bathroom in the maser bedroom upstairs, however there is only a tub, no shower. - Checkout is at 10:00 AM, which we thought was a little early. - The walk to the beach is very easy and only 3 mins around the corner. There are 5-6 rock steps down to the sand but we had no trouble. Location is perfect! Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely be back!
