Goshen Falls Retreat is a mountain estate property near Helen, Lake Burton, Clayton, Unicoi State Park. Mimi's house is a two bedroom cabin with a bedroom and bath on the main floor and a loft styled bedroom with bath that holds four twin beds. There are three waterfalls and a beautiful stream that flows thru the property, trails for hiking, a fire pit, and peaceful mountain views. There are other opportunities for fly fishing, horseback riding at local farms, and shopping in the beautiful city of Helen, only 12 miles away.

Lovely cabin

The cabin was very clean,centrally located,easy drives to Helen and waterfalls. The beds and furnishings were very comfortable. There’s a nice waterfall at the end of the driveway,easy to get to and a nice bonus.Host was receptive and helpful.

Great stat, very clean

We stayed only 1 night but this rental would be comfortable for more nights. We rested well in the main bedroom and our 4 children slept well in the loft room upstairs. There is a sunroom with game table that the kids loved. All areas of the home were excellently cleaned. TV in living room had streaming and the home offered WiFi. The outside property is nice and shares a paved driveway with another home. A short walk and behind the other home on the shared drive, there is a beautiful creek with waterfall. We will definitely consider staying here again when in the Helen area. Thank you for a quick, safe, and pleasant stay.

Booked for one night and unfortunately our plans were riddled with unexpected “road blocks” and we had to leave without enjoying really any part of our “time” there….but, we did get to meet the owner Jim upon arrival and what a joy he is. You’ll not meet a nicer or more accommodating host. Had our circumstances been different I’m sure we would have so many great things to say about our visit. The unit itself is even nicer than the pictures tell….so clean and that’s a super bonus for us! We did not have the opportunity to explore or enjoy the property as was offered to us but we will definitely keep this location on list to visit again so we look forward to that opportunity in the near future. It’s a beautiful place and the owner is super. Thank you Jim for being so kind and we hope to see you again soon. Blessings.

Just one night

Just one night, which was too short. Very nice inside with all amenities needed. Beautiful place to have coffee on porch in the early morning and loved the waterfall trail and falls!

Clean and Comfortable

Great location for exploring the Ga Mountains. One of the nicest hikes is right on the property to a waterfall!!!! We met the hosts and they are super nice people. Clean and comfortable home!

Family Getaway

The home was very clean and beautifully decorated. It is a great place to visit for a peaceful family getaway. We had more fun visiting the nearby falls and creek that is located on the property than anything else we did. It was very beautiful and tranquil at the falls. It's a great place just to sit and relax and enjoy your family.

Wonderful cabin with breathtaking waterfall

This is a beautiful cabin and property. The cabin is wonderful and has everything you would need plus some. The property and scenery are gorgeous. And there’s also a private waterfall which is breathtaking. This is one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. The pictures do not come close to showing you how beautiful everything is. You need to see everything in person to appreciate it. And the owner is very very nice and kind. I would highly recommend staying here for a trip.

Don’t waste a second…book it.

Our family of 3 generations brought my MIL (81) who is 100% German to Oktoberfest in Helen. The house was spotless. The beds were super comfortable. And I am a connoisseur of beds. Two full bathrooms were perfect. We loved the waterfalls. The Draper’s are lovely and so hospitable. They really have a gem in this property. We will be back without a doubt.

Perfect holiday getaway

This property is nothing short of amazing. I stayed for a week with with my husband and 3 kids ages 14,11 and 10. They loved the cabin itself because of the pool/ping pong/air hockey table and the falls on the property. So many days they just wanted to stay in the cabin. If you hike the property, you will find beautiful creeks and actual falls. It is all breathtaking. We are from Miami, FL, so we are not used to seeing so much natural beauty. Additionally, the actual location of the cabin itself is perfect. We drove easily to Helen, GA, which is a must visit alpine town. We traveled to Dahlonega, GA to tour the underground mine and gem mining for the kids. We drove to Athens, GA to see UGA. We also drove to Highlands, NC for some snow tubing on Scaly Mountain. Moreover, the hosts were amazing. The Drapers were fantastic and so easy to communicate. No need to doubt this location, book it! Thank you for the experience!

A Happy Mama & Papa Bear enjoyed a beautiful Father's Day with their Three Teen Bears!!!

Shorter version: AWESOME! Short version: Three very important things for me when our family travels to the mountains is safe access to property, comfortable beds, and bug/spider/scorpion free on the inside. Property was being treated for insects upon arrival...so awesome! Oh My Goodness this Mama Bear was happy! I'm terrified of heights but love the mountains (imagine that) this location was more than we could have imagined. Very spacious, free of excess clutter ( almost minimalist style), and so clean. The beds upstairs and downstairs were awesome (everyone slept well). There's a pool table/ping pong in a seprate room our teens hung out and enjoyed their music at a decent noise level and we couldn't hear peep while we watched television in the living room. Just a down right perfect stay. 30 mins away from Wal-Mart & Patch Babyland, 20 mins away from Downtown Helen with all the awesome attractions. Did I mention the 50 ft. waterfall on the property? I could honestly keep typing on and on...do yourself a favor...look no more! Thanks Jim for awesome customer service, we WILL return very soon! -The Feltons

Perfect Thanksgiving Getaway

The property is beautiful with room to explore and play. The hosts were gracious and helpful. Our family watched movies and played games in the evenings. I was able to prepare a very basic TG dinner. The kitchen has the basics and S & P. The cabin was ample for what our family of 6 required. The 3 in 1 pool table, ping pong, and air hockey is a reduced size, but would definitely be fun for younger kids. The fireplace was a nice addition, too! Bottomline…. The property is out of this world and the cabin provides the basics for a lovely stay. We ventured to the nearby town of Helen for some mini golf and even drove over to Dahlonega for dinner and shopping on the square.

2022 Family Vacation

My family and I took a mini Vacation up to Mimi’s Cabin it was such a nice stay. Jim answered all My questions in a timely manner and I have to say…. The location of the Cabin was absolutely beautiful, from the 3 waterfalls on the property to the coziness of the cabin and the game room that my kids loved as well as the adults. I would recommend this lovely vacation stay to family and friend. We really enjoyed our stay. We will be back.
