The living area with its high ceilings gives Beach Bums a spacious, welcoming feel. The sundecks and covered decks - with views of the ocean - can be accessed by all four comfortable bedrooms. Host cookouts on the outdoor grill or simply relax inside with a collection of good books, games, and videos. For your entertainment, you'll have four TVs, two VCRs, three DVD players, a Bluetooth/CD player, and a private hot tub for slow evening soaks.

Charming, comfortable, and convenient to a number of stores and attractions, Beach Bums is a breath of fresh air for Outer Banks vacationers.

The private pool is open seasonally from 4/26/2025 and closes 10/12/2025. Dates are subject to change.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Was a great property. Unfortunately we were removed after two days due to Hurricane Erin. Attempts to reach out to Owner or Property Manager are proving difficult.

I will start off with the positives of this property. The beds were extremely comfortable, so appreciated that. The kitchen is stocked with many amenities for making meals; which saves you money. The house is spacious and the decor is beach vibes. The hot tub is awesome after a day at the beach swimming, or after a day of sightseeing and definitely after a day of shopping. The landscapers are awesome; they do an excellent job.Now for the things that need attention and correction in my experience. The lack of attention to detail of cleanliness, that Vacasa who manages this property gives; isn’t right to do to the owners of this property, with what they pay them to properly manage their property. I have attached six pictures to show some of the filth they leave and don’t clean up. I didn’t take pictures of all the filth, but there was more than the six pictures taken. The shower curtain liners have mildew on them and need to be replaced, also the downstairs decorative shower curtain needs to be laundered as it’s dirty. The upstairs shower had dried hairs all over it and dried soap and the likes all over the shower/tub enclosure. The carpets were dirty and I vacuumed them. When paying good money; oneself shouldn’t have to clean before using the facilities. If I was the owner of this property I would be extremely angry to see how my property is being cared for. I would fire the company and find someone else to care for my house.

Beautiful location close to the ocean side of the beach

The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen has a good stock of dishes, so guests are able to cook if they want to.

Not clean

Floors were filthy, thick layers of dust and debris under couches, beds, etc. Couches and pillows were stained. Killed multiple roaches while there. Moldy and stained shower curtain on the main floor. House had broken furniture, grass was 2 feet tall, air filter was filthy, and broken wall socket. Upstairs a/c vents were brown and moldy. Stagnant smell when you first walked in the house.

Our Stay at Beach Bums

The house was very clean, there were plenty of plates, cookware, utensils, cups, etc... The bedrooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The proximity to the beach is great. We had one problem with the AC Blower and Vacasa sent someone out the same day to replace it. Overall I would recommend this to anyone and If I plan on staying in Salvo again, I would stay here. Thank you.

Problems with check in

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and I liked the floor plan. The hot tub was clean and there were plenty of towels, trash bags, soap, etc. The location was great and we really loved the yard; we had fun playing horseshoes. The first time I swept, I felt like I was cleaning up other people’s dirt. Other than that, it was clean. The check in process was awful. The code didn’t work and when I called, I was on hold for 30 minutes. No one ever answered the first time and I had to hang up and call back. I replied to the message they sent me, texted and finally when I called back, someone answered. The gentleman was nice but he reset the code twice and it never worked. He was getting ready to dispatch someone local but then someone else called me back on the other line and she was able to reset it immediately. It took us an hour before we finally got in. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Older but nice place

The location of the BeachBum has easy access to the beach down the street. Close enough to hear the ocean from the decks on the ocean side. The place has a nice hot tub and laundry room on site. Two A/C units keep the 1st and 2nd floors nice and cool. Decks off the living room, bedrooms on 1st and 2nd floors provide plenty of views.

Beach Bums

Beach Bums was a great home for our family vacation. We loved the sun room on the front of the house and used it everyday. The kids loved the hot tub. Great location and short walk to beach access. Beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this house for a family!

Wanted to love it.

Overall good house with some glaring upkeep issues that prevented us from fully enjoying it (Pros/Cons detailed below). Pros: -Short walking distance to a great area of the beach! -Large backyard with plenty of seating/room for activities (we set up an inflatable pool and the kids loved it) -Deck access from every bedroom. -Peaceful subdivision that we have stayed in many times. -Front sunroom was a perfect playroom for the kids. Cons: -Very dirty at check-in. (trash under beds/furniture, pests, sand still in one bed, dirty dishes in cabinet, etc). This was the biggest concern for us as we spent a large amount of time cleaning the house throughout the week but we did not put a dent in the overall cleanliness problem. -Heavily degraded decking with exposed nails/splintering. We could not let the kids play out on the deck for this reason and walking on it barefoot was questionable.

Last year, we had several concerns. It was great to see that all of our concerns had been resolved along the way, speaking to OBR`s responsiveness to guest comments. Except for Florence chasing us away for a week of our two, we had an excellent experience this year. (Last year we were chased by Maria!) We`re looking forward to our full two weeks next year! :) Only my husband and I vacation (no kids) and it`s very hard to find a property that`s suitable for 2 people. See-Shore is perfect for this with the way it`s designed. It`s a very comfortable house and it`s clear that the owners take good care of it, as well as to respond to guest suggestions. Hoping to be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Beach Bums! The house was clean and well kept. We loved the privacy of the location and the short walk to the beach. Salvo was the perfect location for our vacation this year...we hope to be back soon!
