Great location and stay. The facilities and amenities were exactly as described. The host was fantastic and communicated frequently. Easy check in/out and great access to parking, elevators, and easy distance to pool, beach, and Dukes. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place to vacation

We have been coming to this resort for years but this was the first time I used Vrbo. It was a great experience. The condo was clean beautiful and had everything we needed. The partial ocean view was amazing and I really liked the view of the mountains as well.

Family getaway

Great property for me, my wife, 6 year old and 2.5 year old. It was super comfortable for us. The pools on property were great. Was nice to get drinks and food while enjoying the area. Beach access was right there. Neighborhood was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

Great vacation!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The property has almost all the amenities of full-service resort. The property owner was very nice and the room was clean and well appointed. Would love to return to the same exact place next time we visit Maui.

Great stay for family of 4

The condo had everything we needed and plenty of space for 4 of us. View was beautiful and Location was great…snorkeling right off the beach, yummy food truck park that was fun, Duke’s and more. Property manager was responsive and engaged to make sure we had everything we needed.

Snorkel Paradise

Great snorkeling right in front of Duke's. Property has three pools, one with a waterslide. Rent your snorkel from Snorkel Bob's across the street. Hit up the food truck lot at the end of the day. The condo itself is solid. Clean and comfortable. Management easy to work with.

We love the Honua Kai!

We have stayed at this property a few times, however this was our first time in this particular suite. We had a great time and enjoyed the HK once again. This suite had lots of amenities that helped! Balls, sunscreen, boogie board and chairs were much appreciated.

Relaxing, family vacation

Property was clean and matched the description and photos. We had everything we needed. Property manager was very quick to respond but thankfully, we really didn’t have any issues. We traveled with 3 school age children, so we had 2 kids in 1 bedroom and 1 on the pull out sofa. Since we had access to the balcony from the master bedroom, my husband and I were able to relax on the balcony after the kids went to bed. The first few days of our stay the shore break at the beach right outside the resort was a little too rough but we had a lot of fun in the pool and there are calmer beaches close by. Having the restaurant right at the resort was very convenient. Delicious food, but expensive. Would definitely recommend renting or bringing snorkel equipment, because there’s a fair amount to see at the beach at the resort.

Fabulous Honua Kai condo

We loved our stay at this Honua Kai condo! This resort is fabulous with pools, beach and an onsite restaurant. This particular condo has a partial view of the ocean from the lanai. Gets great morning sun which means the lanai is shaded in the afternoon during the hotter part of the day. Great communication with the owner and the local manager. Really appreciated the beach gear - chairs, coolers, toys etc. It made for easy days at the beach! We left behind a pool noodle and sand toys for the next guest to enjoy. This was the perfect set up for us and our school aged kiddo with the separate rooms and living room. The kitchen has everything you need to make basic meals. Condo was in great shape except the couch throw pillow covers had seen better days. We let the manager know so they can be replaced. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us.

Great stay at a beautiful resort!

We just returned home from a great week in Maui! Honua Kai was exactly where we wanted to be in a convenient location for all that Kaanapali and Lahaina have to offer. Check in was easy and fast. Our rented unit was clean and kitchen was well stocked with dishes. The welcome basket of Hawaiian coffee and chocolates was a nice treat and the sand toys and boogie boards were a nice surprise for our kids. They provide two beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler as well. We’ve been to Maui several times and never stayed at Honua Kai and we were very happy with our stay. Communication from Janet and Marty were on point and they really made an effort to make sure we were taken care of! We’d definitely stay again.

Nice for Limited Mobility!

First, the property manager and owner were VERY helpful giving details about accessibility and additional information about the easiest place to enter for snorkeling. The unit was not far from the elevator and had tile flooring at the entrance, which was great for parking my scooter without soiling the carpet. We could scoot down the boardwalk a short distance to the beach and reef and snorkeled 4 of the 6 days we were there, so it was SUPER EASY! We even saw a sea turtle 2 days in a row! OF NOTE: I can walk short distances, but the property may not be ideal if you truly cannot walk.The unit itself was very nice with a great view of the mountains (and a welcoming rainbow) and a balcony view of the ocean. The furniture was nice and there was a good table for meals. We cooked a fair amount and the dishes were enough to work with, though a cookie sheet might be helpful.The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Blackout curtains were effective. Sleeping was relatively easy.The bathroom was quite nice and I greatly appreciated the bathtub so I could sit to bathe.We used the washer/dryer and appreciated the instructions and laundry detergent pods.The beach equipment was nice and my friend used the swim fins for snorkeling, since she hadn't brought hers.My only thought (personal choice, really) is that carpet in a beachfront condo can get dirty very easily. I do prefer solid-state flooring.

Wonderful stay at Konea 608

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo. Great size with the extra bedroom. Location of condo and views from the lanai were awesome - very nice for breakfast at sunrise. Communication with owner and Maui property manager was outstanding - all questions were answered promptly and the few minor issues we had during our stay were dealt with quickly. Beds were comfortable and clean. Lots of bath towels. The beach towel service worked great. The appliances were very nice - fridge and washer/dryer seemed brand new. The extras in the closet were really appreciated - beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and cooler. All came in handy. We donated a small cooler that will make future trips to the beach even easier - but all and all the beach extras were great. The resort location is also outstanding - lovely grounds, great pools, good beach and great snorkeling - we saw turtles almost every day. Just a few things that could be improved - the couch in the living room needs to be cleaned or replaced. The cushions were a bit dirty so we had to flip them. Also - the knife set in the kitchen as well as some of the utensils could use a refurbishment. Super minor things that wouldn't keep us from staying again. Great vacation, great condo at a great price, hope to be back in the future.

Aloha Bliss: Unforgettable Family Time

Our experience at Janet’s place Honua Kai Konea was absolutely fantastic, creating unforgettable memories for my family and me. While we did have a partial ocean view, it was the breathtaking Mountain View from the condo's lanai that truly left us in awe. The Nana folding glass door/wall was a huge wow factor! It seamlessly connected the indoor living room to the outdoor lanai, and added a touch of brilliance to this place. We cherished our mornings and evenings on the lanai, relishing in delightful breakfasts and dinners. The bathroom was spacious and elegant, while the kitchen had all the essentials we needed. The convenience of having a washer and dryer in the unit was an added bonus. Moreover, the condo provided beach amenities such as chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and floaters, enhancing our beach experience. Our 2 and 5-year-old children were overjoyed with the condo facilities, especially the pool. We spent 2-3 hours each day swimming and having a blast on the fantastic water slide. The location of the condo area was ideal, with the beach just a few steps away, offering a scenic walking path and a perfect spot to admire the captivating sunset. Duke's restaurant on site and the nearby food truck area, a mere 8 minutes' walk from the condo, provided a diverse selection of delicious meals. Two fo the nights we picked up dinner from the food trucks and enjoyed it on the lanai, relishing the flavors in the comfort of our temporary home. Additionally, there was a Times Supermarket conveniently located across from the food trucks. In summary, our stay at Honua Kai Konea was an extraordinary way to celebrate my birthday and Mother's Day. We hope to return to this amazing place in the future, as it truly exceeded our expectations. Aloha!

It was amazing. This place was just off the beach with great views of the ocean and mountain. The kitchen was well stocked. It was ALL well beyond our expectations and the area had easy acess to local amenities and attractions.

We had such a lovely stay at Honua Kai! The condo was beautiful, the grounds were amazing and the location with it's proximity to restaurants and a grocery store was unbeatable. We will definitely return!
