This vrbo is hosting Roach City! The property is slated for an apartment complex demolition, so maybe they're just letting anyone stay who's willing without addressing the infestation :(

We did not get welcome instructions had to call to get the code to get in. No welcome book or instructions for when we leave as far as where to take garbage etc. No coffee make on site, toaster was broken, there is a cockroach infestation in the kitchen, knives so dull could not cut anything. Internet was not working tvs worked off internet so my 89 year old mother had no entertainment when my husband and I went out. The air hockey table did not blow enough air to float the puck, the foosball table is not level so the ball rolls to a corner. The beds were comfortable and location is great.

There were several dead cockroaches on the floor in the kitchen and as we looked around, we found several more live ones crawling around in the kitchen, linen cabinet, bathrooms, etc. There were a ton of spider webs with spiders everywhere. One window had its screen ripped open, big enough for someone to crawl through. The couches were terribly worn out, with one seat indented so bad that it looked like someone had been lying there for hours and had just gotten up. One bathroom had carpet on the floor, smelled of mold, and was just overall gross. We left within 15mins of arriving and inspecting the property. The host was very responsive and initially only offered a refund on the cleaning fee. I informed him that we would not be staying as it was unsafe given the ripped screen in the window and was clearly not clean or hygienic to stay in and wanted a full refund.

House was full of cockroaches and the smoke alarm kept beeping the first night. Tried to fix it but it set the house alarm off so I contacted the host and he told me to fix it myself or he would send someone over. No one ever showed up. Black mold and cockroaches in the bathroom. No shower in the master bathroom. Carpet was so old it was ripped up and stains everywhere. Air hockey was so dirty and full of sand it didn’t work. Dirty gross place to stay! I deserve a refund! No one rent this place!

House needs work

The house is located in a great area walking distance to everything, however the house is run down and there are cockroaches in the house. I initially asked the owner if the cockroaches had been taken care of and the house cleaned her response was yes and she lied.

This is a great house and a great location. We stayed 5 days and used the house as our location of our high school cross country camp. We could run right from the house in any direction and get on some great trails and to the beach. Most of the facts on reviews regarding carpet stains and total cleanliness are pretty accurate. The house just needs updating which would take care of most of your first impressions and the look of dirtyness because of the stains in carpet. The house was affordable and hit all the needs. Furniture (beds, couches, dining chairs all comfortable). We did bring a rice cooker hand mixer because it is missing some appliances. Also, it says three baths and three showers. Yes, there is 3 baths but only two showers.

Great area but the home is very dirty.

This is a very spacious home located in a great area. Close to restaurants stores and the best part walking distance to the beach. The downside is the house is definitely not taken care of. I don’t mind the outside aspect, but the inside carpet, is extremely dirty. The first floor leaving room is full of spider webs and the carpet is also super dirty. Stains everywhere. The kitchen looks good, but at night there’s small cockroaches running all over the kitchen area. The 2 rooms in the second floor are good. The carpet is not dirty and the beds are comfortable, but the pillow sheets did have some stains. I brought my own bed and pillow sheets so that helped. Most of the windows have spider webs which I understand at some point, but this just seemed like nobody would ever clean. Over all it was an okay stay, but it would really help if the home was cleaned more.

Great location, except this house did not have proper amenities. Poor cleanliness, recommendations is they get rid of the carpets due to making your feet dirty and tears in the carpet. There looks to be beautiful wood floors underneath. Maybe an update on the house as of now it’s walking into the 70s. No railing to assist with stairs.

Stay @ Pismo

We enjoyed our stay at Pismo Beach and Satay's house. The house was perfect for us. The only minor issue was the water taking an hour to drain from the hall shower. Satay was very responsive & we would stay again when visiting Pismo Beach.

I cannot recommend this property. It needs some serious maintenance! A broken chair in the dining room, bathtubs that don’t drain, stove top that won’t light without a match, and to top it all off their were mouse turds on the trundle bed mattress. It would also be a good idea to clean the ceiling fans once in awhile.

Perfect location

Our first time visiting Pismo Beach. This home is centrally located, within walking distance to the beach and all eateries nearby. Home is a little dated but very spacious with the basic cooking supplies we needed for our family. Kids enjoyed the foosball and hockey table game. Would mind staying here again for our next visit.

Total Disappointment

Upon arrival I had to message the owner to find out how to enter the building. Upon arrival there were weeds and trash in the grass. The security door was not closed or working properly and someone’s dirty shoes were left outside. The carpet was filthy filled with stains throughout. Spider webs on windows, fan with large layer of dust, fan in master shakes almost off the ceiling, no light cover in the shower just exposed electrical and it didn’t work. The water was not functioning so cold showers were taken and the owner ghosted me for 15 hours. The windows were dirty. Lint and dryer sheets on the floor in the laundry room. Owner asked us to light the pilot light to get the water heater working. It never worked the entire time we were there. I asked to send someone and he did not respond. Stated it slept 10 only beds for 6. Asked for reimbursement and received the cleaning fee and a little more for a total of 385 when I paid 1400. Told me VRBO takes a lot of profit and that was all he could spare. He did apologize profusely in emails but when I asked if I could send all the pics I took so he could see the conditions for himself he did not seem interested in seeing them. Seems as if the heater was on the entire time we were there we had all the doors and windows open and it was cooler outside then inside.

Me and my family really enjoyed staying here. We rented Thursday- Sunday and we had no problems. The hockey table was the most fun. It has everything you need for a nice family vacation. You don't even need to worry about keys the door unlocks with a code.

Nice relaxing vacation home

Great location! Clean and comfortable home. Walking distance to everything in downtown Pismo, literally one block to ocean overlook at the end of the street, two blocks to the stairs to get on the beach, four blocks to downtown Pismo. Some ocean views from the living room. Carpets in the entry area needs some attention and the outside space need some TLC but overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely book our next stay there.

Amazing location, large home, lots of parking

We had a great time staying at this property. You can easily walk to the beach and the hot spots like the pier, Splash Cafe and Brads. For the price, you can’t beat it! We were in town for some off roading and originally planned on renting hotel rooms. This home saved everyone money and provided a huge area to park our trucks, which would have been too big for a hotel parking lot. You can easily park 5+ cars here. The photos do show that it’s an older home, which we expected and have no problem with. Our only complaints are that the carpet is stained in a lot of places. I think it could be fixed with a good carpet clean. The remotes and TVs are not set up correctly and some were missing batteries. So bring a fire stick or something similar for your own entertainment. Regardless of these inconveniences, we will rent this house again when visiting Pismo in the future.

We love this location

We had a hard time getting in and it took almost two hours to get a hold of our host but once we got in we loved the property. The cameras inside were a little sketchy, but I don’t think they were on? Hopefully! The house itself was dated but we enjoyed the charm. The stove didn’t work but we were fine without it. The kids loved the game room and the beds were beyond comfortable!!!!!!! We enjoyed the space and Overall we would stay again but feel they could do better with the few things mentioned.
