Beautiful cabin! Views were great! Only two things that were somewhat inconvenient. The Master Bedroom upstairs (aka loft) was not enclosed and has the only private bathroom. There were eight of us however we had to buy towels to have enough for bathing and hot tub! Still a great property and overall a nice stay! Location was perfectly located close to downtown and near Bear Claw Winery!

I can't say enough good things about this property. My family has enjoyed an annual weekend of whitewater rafting and staying in a mountain cabin for years, so we've stayed in many cabins. The unanimous opinion from the family is that this is our favorite. Here's a few reasons why: the property is a gaming family's paradise, with board games, an arcade machine, video games, a card table, corn hole, horseshoes, and more. The views are magnificent. The hot tub is large and accessible. The property is super pet-friendly (we have dogs). The cabin decor is exquisitely mountain cabin themed. And finally, the attention to detail: switches are labeled, bath robes are available in each bedroom, both a coffee maker and a Keurig, and every kitchen need is addressed. We will absolutely be coming back for our next annual event!

Beautiful views! Great location close to everything! Beds and couches are worn and uncomfortable. So many area rugs made it seem like they need to be cleaned or removed especially in the cooking area in kitchen. Host was lovely and responsive in handling problems. Just needs updating.

Ultimate Family and Pet Getaway!

We’ve stayed at this cabin three times now and it never disappoints! It’s tucked away in a private setting with beautiful views, a great hot tub and plenty of outdoor space for both the kids and our dogs to enjoy. Inside is cozy, comfortable and perfect for our family. Dave is also a fantastic host! Was super responsive and always on top of everything. We can’t wait to come back again! Highly recommend!

Our Stay for the Week of July 4th

We had a wonderful week celebrating July 4th in Blue Ridge. The view from the cabin deck was stunning, and we were able to see the fireworks down below from the comfort of the rocking chairs. I think my favorite room was the main bedroom upstairs, because we could lie in the bed at night and see the stars outside the floor to ceiling windows in the living area. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Mountaintop Getaway - Amazing View

We have been to Blue Ridge 4 times, 1st time in this cabin and by far it has the best view. The cabin was as described, very clean, comfortable and again a magnificent view from the deck. The property itself was so peaceful and relaxing we almost didn't want to leave it for our activities, which included Blue Ridge Tubing, Amicalola Falls State Park, Brasstown Bald, Fall Branch Falls, and other activies. The cabin's location is nestled close to both Blue Ridge and McCaysville. We loved it.Our only problem was no water in the cabin one night and then no water on the day we were leaving. The cabin is so beautiful that the inconvenience was worth it. We would definitely stay again.

We loved the house! The location was fantastic and provided plenty of privacy while still being close enough to downtown Blue Ridge to make it an easy driving option. Views were spectacular. We'll be back!

Vacation Getaway

What a fantastic view is the first thing you notice when you enter the cabin. It is truly breathtaking. The exterior amenities of the cabin are first class. We loved and used the firepit often and the horseshoe pit and cornhole games were first class and we couldn't have asked for a better gas grill. The road into the property was a little scary because it is so narrow but it is paved. Meeting a car coming in the opposite direction was very challenging. The setting of the property more than compensated for the road. The beds were comfortable. The living room furniture was nice to look at but comfort wise was just okay. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Blue Ridge is a wonderful area with lots to do. While at the cabin we saw lots of birds, deer and squirrels. And again, the view was amazing! We were there for 2 weeks.

Mountaintop paradise

Wonderful property with ample space for our family of four. The views from the back deck are stunning at sunrise and sunset. The arcade game provided hours of entertainment for parents and kids. The firepit was so fun and gave us many new memories. Something to consider when booking is the time of year... Apparently mid-spring is when carpenter bees are active and can be a nuisance when trying to enjoy outdoor spaces during the day. But I don't think that's specific to this property, I think it's regional. Overall, our family had an amazing time and would definitely come here again.

It was a wonderful stay and hard to leave this cozy cabin. The outdoor space was amazing for small kids to play safely. The views were amazing! I loved how close to Blue Ridge it was!

Family Time

We spent the weekend with our two grown children and their partners. This cabin worked out great for us. Each of us had our own space at night. Each of the three floors has a bedroom and bath. There was plenty of room for the seven of us. Yet it was still very cozy with a feeling of home.. The kitchen was very well stocked. There was so much to do at the cabin. We wished we had booked a few more days. The cabin was not very far from downtown Blue Ridge. We enjoyed spending the day there visiting all of the unique shops and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back.

Thanksgiving with Amazing Views!

We had a fantastic stay here at Thanksgiving, 2024. We enjoyed some of the best views we've had in Blue Ridge and great amenities. We loved the cornhole, horse shoes and fire pit and enjoyed exploring the area with our dogs. Overall great trip to a great cabin and the owners were super helpful throughout the booking and stay.

Throughout the year, our family has enjoyed vacationing because of the abundance of recreational activities like rafting, fishing, boating, and hiking. The pristine beauty of mountain landscapes, trails, scenic overlooks, and rivers make for the ultimate getaway.

You truly have to stay at the Mountaintop Getaway to appreciate all it has to offer!

After an exhaustive, one-year search we finally found the one. In 2002, we purchased the premium, private, secluded lot that sits on top of Sunrock Mountain. We subsequently brought in a master craftsman to build a truly custom cabin. We tried to spare no detail in furnishing the interior with upscale lodge rustic décor. The close proximity to the city of Blue Ridge and nearby recreational activities was an added bonus. Located just 75 miles from Atlanta, it is easy to see why Blue Ridge has become such a popular North Georgia travel destination.

The Mountaintop Getaway cabin is a luxurious retreat that offers a majestic, 70+ mile, year-round view of the Appalachian Mountains. The cabin is ideally situated in the heart of nature and tranquility on one of the most private lots on Sunrock Mountain. Again, the long-range view is simply breath-taking.

Mountaintop Getaway boasts a number of unique features like a therapeutic hot tub that sits under a covered gazebo with a surround sound stereo system, a 200+ movie DVD collection, an outdoor fire pit, a high-powered telescope for star gazing, large HD TVs on every level, iPod docking stations, Galaga/Ms Pacman Arcade game, exercise bike, and a wrap around bar in the basement. The cabin offers 3 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bed and baths, a screened porch with fireplace, a huge outdoor deck with a 9-foot stainless steel grill, Xbox game console, poker/card table, and fully-equipped kitchen.

The cabin is located next to an abundance of recreational activities like white water rafting on the Ocoee River (home of the 1996 Olympic White Water Rafting Competition), horseback riding, fishing, boating, hiking, canoeing, and golf to name just a few. Of course, you are allowed to simply “chill out” and escape city life by taking a nap in the hammock, enjoying the fresh mountain air on a rocking chair, or walking down a nature trail.

The cabin was professionally decorated with high-end furnishings and lots of attention was paid to details. The cabin went through extensive renovations in May, 2021. Pets are welcome (3 maximum). No smoking is allowed.
