Private Edisto Beach Retreat - Steps from the Beach - Fun in the Sun!

Welcome to The Snowy Crab, our 4 bed, 3 bath private beach retreat and sunny escape from snowy Colorado! Just steps from the beach, The Snowy Crab sleeps up to 10 guests and is the perfect home to enjoy all that Edisto Island has to offer.

While just a short walk to the beach, the home is tucked back on a dead-end road and backs up to a tidal creek with jungle views. So you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and awake to the birds chirping feeling like you are in your own oasis. The underside of the home is ready for gaming, fun or just relaxing. With a large screened in game room you are set to have fun enjoying the outdoor breeze. Ping Pong Table, Corn Hole and Ladder Golf games are on site for fun afternoons or relax in one of the 2 hammocks - whatever suits your fancy.

With two bedrooms on each side of the house it is arranged perfectly for family gatherings or a few families to enjoy together. Two bedrooms feature on suite bathrooms and the other two bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. For those that enjoy the outdoors there is an outdoor shower under the house too!

We provide all bed linens, bath and beach towels. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap is also provided in each of the showers. The laundry room is available for your use, detergent and fabric softener is provided. The kitchen is well equipped for those that want to cook at home while visiting.

Recently updated, this house is a great escape at the beach. So come unwind at The Snowy Crab!

The best week at the Snowy Crab

We could not have booked a better house for our week. Our son got married on Edisto Island and this house became command central. The hosts have thought of everything. Even things I didn’t know I needed they thought of. They provided all linens and towels which not all properties do but the snowy crab makes you feel right at home. The hosts are VERY easy to communicate with I highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed!!!

Perfect House!

We were a group of 5 friends. The large living space and kitchen was great! We also loved the 4 large bedrooms and 3 baths. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the peace and quiet- even had a visit from a deer. Enjoyed the short walk to the beach and rocking on the front porch. Check in was easy and host was responsive. Can’t wait to stay here again soon!

Special family time

We were in Edisto to celebrate the wedding of our daughter. We arrived from the upstate of SC and our son and his family traveled from Asheville, NC immediately after the devastation of Hurricane Helene. The owner went above and beyond to communicate the status of outages to us, and even allowed my brother's family to stay a few extra hours so that they could enjoy the beach and not have to hurry back home to the havoc that was taking place. I would give it 6 stars if that was an option!

Wonderful vacation

This home was the perfect spot for a family getaway. The location is great and is only a short walk to the beach. The home had everything that needed including games, books, and all necessary kitchen items. The host was wonderful and so easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Stay

We had a great time at the Snowy Crab. Games for the kids, beautiful property and had all the things we needed. I used to own a cleaning company and would give it a white glove review. And the communication was amazing. We will be back!!!

Great Place for Old Friends to Connect

As a long time group of friends we had a special event to attend in Charleston and decided to stay in Edisto Beach. We found this house and we all loved the it. The openness of the kitchen, living room and dining area was perfect for us. The house was clean, well supplied and presented no unexpected surprises(sometimes what you see online is not what you get). Short walk to the beach and a nice community for our morning bike rides. We hope to return again for a longer stay.

Great House in Edisto

Great for multiple/ large familes. The house was very comfortable, clean, inviting, and had many different spaces for enjoying family and friends both inside and outside. The front and back porches were wonderful. Quick walk to the beach. Overall great house in a cute neighborhood.

Family Week at the beach

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Home with our families. We had 4 children and 4 adults and plenty of room! You house has plenty to keep everyone busy and such an easy trip back and forth to the beach. The owner was extremely responsive and even helped coordinate the return of an item left behind. Big Open Space for lots of People

Large blended family stayed altogether. The only hiccough was the description on the web mentioned the keys in a lock box, but instead the combination worked on the key pad. The owner/ manager was easy to get in touch with to make it all very easy. It was a dream for a family of 10 of all ages.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

This property exceeded expectations! I’ve stayed at quite a few rental properties and this one was the cleanliest I’ve experienced. The home itself is so open and spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit and chat. The four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms were also so great to have. Everyone felt like they had their own space. The washer and dryer and fully stocked kitchen made our stay so convenient and relaxing. The walk to the beach was less than 5 minutes and the beach itself was relaxing and enjoyable. The property owner, Jim, was very responsive! Definitely recommend this property to other families!

Edisto Retreat

Great home, wonderful location with easy access to the beach. This house accommodated my family of two young adults (college students), a high schooler with his three friends, my husband and I comfortably. The ground level entertainment was great for the boys with more than enough room for our fishing gear.

Excellent House right by the beach

This was an incredible house with an excellent set up. Really great room layout with an awesome front and back porch as well. Very close to the beach. Also, the property manager / owner, Jim, was a great communicator and extremely helpful before, during and after our stay. HIGHLY recommend!

Family Vacation!

Our family vacation trip to Edisto Beach was GREAT! It was the best place for relaxing and enjoying family. The beach was only a few minutes away, and not crowded. It was an easy walk to the beach (if you have a small child bring a wagon). Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with my family. The house had everything we needed and very clean. The fun and game activities provided were greatly appreciated. Adults and children enjoyed them all. I will recommend to my friends. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Great Location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was located within walking distance to the beach and had all of the amenities we needed. It was great to have clean linens on-site so we didn’t have to coordinate bringing our own or renting.

Amazing property!

I have been going to Edisto for 40 years and this is the nicest property I have ever stayed in! It was impeccably clean and the decor was fabulous. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and then some. It was a very short easy walk to the beach. I was in touch with the property manager on several occasions and he was very quick to respond and was extremely helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!!

Summer Beach Trip

What a great vacation! Edisto is very laid back. If you love the beach without other distractions, this is a great place. My wife, two sons, and two of their friends had plenty of space with a room to spare. We made good use of the well stocked kitchen. We also enjoyed the grill and games downstairs. Although we didn't need him, the owner was very responsive.

Great House and Great Location

Perfect family beach house. Everything from the beds to the linens to the TVs were new and high end. The house is only about a 2 minute walk to the beach and tucked away quietly from the traffic on Palmetto. Great house, easy check in process, highly, highly recommend.
