Boasting a prime location only 150 feet from a low bank sandy beach, an easy walk to Iceberg Point, and just a short drive to enjoy the beauty and hike around Watmough Bay, this bayfront two-story home is a dream come true for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike! Admire amazing views from every window - seals and otters playing in the water can be easily seen from this retreat. There is also plenty of birdwatching opportunities. Enjoy your meals alfresco at the picnic table in the yard and spend relaxing times chatting on the front deck furnished with plenty of comfortable deck chairs.

Inside, a sunny living area awaits with comfortable furniture throughout and terrific bay views - it's conveniently warmed by a gas stove. The adjoining full kitchen is completely equipped with all stainless steel appliances and a three-person island. More formal meals can take place at the nearby four-person dining table. There is another living area upstairs with unbelievable views of the bay, plenty of sofas (including two recliners), and a flatscreen TV.

Outdoor beach toys, one kayak, and two life vests are available for guest use.
There are children’s games, toys, and books, baby gates, booster seat, and Pack N' Play available.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We loved it and want to come back

We loved the views from both levels, the comfortable beds, the 2 upstairs extra comfy chairs, the cleanliness, the artistic decor, ready access to everything on the island (including a guide book), extra friendly amenities like the binoculars, teas, games), patio chairs, etc. The most peaceful vacation I've ever taken!

Great place in Lopez island

We had a wonderful stay at Mackaye Road Manor. The place is even better than the pictures. The location is very quiet and beautiful with easy access to the water. Our family had a great time and we did a lot of hiking and kayaking nearby. The place had tasteful decors and the kitchen was very well equipped. We cooked our food all throughout our stay and we didn’t face any problems. Overall, highly recommended and we would like to revisit again in the future.

Perfect getaway

The property was a perfect getaway for our family reunion with my in-laws visiting from Japan. We really enjoyed kayaking in the bay, practically from our doorstep. The house had everything we needed. We did not even turn the TV on during our entire stay. Lopez Island is very quiet and has untouristy feel, which we soaked ourselves in.

A real gem!

Location was perfect for us! Beautiful views. Very clean. Didn’t really have any communication with anyone from house or VRBO (would have been nice to be able to communicate that there was a broken blind in living room when we go there) but really wasn’t a huge need. Overall fabulous stay.

Amazing location

We were blown away by the location - the pictures do not do this house justice! It is right on the water, along a very quiet road. The beachfront was sandy, and we sat outside every day watching the seals and herons. This quiet area was perfect for us. It was 15 minutes from the restaurants and market in Lopez Village, so that may be something to keep in mind. The cleaning was the only thing keeping this property from being perfect. We found the tub and living room windows grimy, as well as the fridge covered in something sticky that had spilled. There was no gas for the grill, and no trash bags. We needed the windows open as it was pushing 80 degrees (no A/C at this house), but many of the window screens had been removed. We'd love to come back to Lopez Island, and hopefully the property management will improve over time.

Lopez Island Labor Day Weekend

The house was perfect for our small family. It was very comfortable and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved having easy access to the protected harbor which was ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding.

Peaceful and Fun!

We had a wonderful time, the view from the livingroom is so peaceful. My kids played at the beach from morning until sunset, as well as kayaking. The beds and pillows were comfy and the kitchen was well stocked.

Beautiful perfect getaway

Two adults and one child, we had a dream vacay here. The best part was having 2 kayaks and the beach right across the street. We kayaked mornings & evenings and it was so relaxing and peaceful. During the days we went on hiking excursions on the island - everything is a short drive away. The home is lovely, well-furnished, and very clean. My friend’s little boy loved the toys upstairs in the playroom and he loved the beach toys too. Those were a nice touch. The beds and furniture were extremely comfortable. We hope to make this an annual trip every summer!

Super clean, modern furniture and awesome amenities all around. Was a perfect getaway for our family of 4 on the Lopez Island. Beautiful views of the sunrise/set and the popular & incredible Iceberg point was a short 15mins hike from the home.
