Välkommen till turkiska Delight i Seaside - 52 Odessa Street

Turkish Delight är en härlig gäst stuga som ligger perfekt halvvägs mellan stranden och Westside Pool; Det är bara en 2 minuters promenad till antingen!

Denna romantiska, mysiga stuga sitter längs en av Seaside avskilda fotstigar. Även om denna lilla stuga tjänar som gästhus för sitt huvudhus, kommer Crisobel, på grund av privatlivet från den frodiga landskapsplaneringen, aldrig att märka anslutningen - om du inte vill.

Vid ankomsten befinner du dig i det öppna vardagsrummet och matplatsen som öppnar mot en privat däck. Ett litet kök är utrustat med varmluftsugn och diskmaskin, och en tvättstuga med tvättmaskin / torktumlare runt om första våningen.

En bred trätrappa leder till den vackra drottningen loft sovrum sviten omges med fönster som ger utsikt över landskapsarkitekturen och bringar solstrålen inuti och utrustad med plattskärms-TV och stereoanläggning. Det rymliga badet med glasväggad dusch avslutar andra våningen. Avskildhet och inredning i stugan skapar en cool, lugn känsla varje gång du går genom dörren.

Njut av Turkish Delight som ett tillflyktsort för en fest på två, perfekt för ett par, en tonårs- eller morförälskasvit för en familjesemester. Hur som helst är det perfekt.

En liten om vad som görs utanför en speciell semesterupplevelse

Tanken bakom Seaside kom från 1946, när överfaren till framtiden grundare Robert S. Davis köpte 80 hektar mark längs kusten av nordvästra Florida som en sommar reträtt för sin familj. År 1979 arvde Davis paketet från sin farfar och syftade till att förvandla den till en gammaldags strandstad med traditionella trädramade stugor i Florida Panhandle.

För tre årtionden blev staden Seaside etablerad. Och det är en del av Seaside's magi. Det är en stad. En Florida Beach Town. Det är charmigt, graciöst, eklektiskt, autentiskt, romantiskt. Men Seaside är inte bara en semesterort. Det är en plats där familj och vänner kan ansluta sig till varandra och med den skönhet som finns i detta speciella hörn av världen.

Needs some updating and a deep clean

Let’s start with the good. The location is incredible. The outdoor seating area is great. This property has a lot of potential. Now, for the rest. The place needs a thorough deep clean, including the nasty white couch cover. The faucet in the master (see photo) is loose beyond belief, but the management company blamed the owners. The furniture is sub thrift store. The lighting fixtures are ancient. The kitchen is not a place where you could cook - not even as good as a Residence Inn. The dining table and placemats were old and filthy. Management company doesn’t include tissues. No closet. End tables were lousy pedestals with no room for drawers or lamps (see photo).If the owners spent a mere 5,000 on repairs and updates, this could be awesome. But It’s not.

EVERYTHING was above expectations! We've been coming to the area for 20 years and stayed all over. This Seaside home was the cleanest! It was a perfect 2 person cozy spot. We will do this again and again! THABK UOU!

Relaxing Beach Stay

We enjoyed our stay. It was an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The carriage house was perfect for a couple. It was cozy with cute furnishings. The location was great.

Charming Guest House

We loved our stay at Turkish Delight, and I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone else (as long as you weren't booked during a time we'd like to book, that is...) I would make two recommendations to the property manager, though: 1.) the place needs a cutting board; and 2.) it can also use sink sponges. We missed these two items. Thank you for the great long-weekend.

Perfect little getaway

The house was very close to the beach access, which made getting to the beach with our items a breeze. It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I, and we would definitely come back for another stay!

Sweet little cottage

Great place for the two of us! We walked to everything, and loved the location. The cottage had everything we needed...although if you are driving, I would bring your own pillows! We would rent again!

Great Value in Seaside

This home was great. Very clean and a good size for 2 people. The location was perfect. 1 min bike ride to the beach or the pool. 2 Min bike ride to all the food trucks and shopping. Highly recommend and plan to return!

Great Location

The house was in a perfect location, convenient to everything in Seaside. The bed definitely needs to be addressed, small and uncomfortable. The other issue is that most of the beaches in Seaside are private beaches. The public beaches are small crowded sections. Seems as if they are trying to push out tourist. Nice to visit, but will head to Destin, Fort Walton or Panama City next time

Loved Seaside. Excellent location. Home was very dusty, AC filters need to be changed. Blinds filthy. Hairs in shower. Gave us wrong code to gate for beach and bathroom access.

Loved It

This is a great place to stay as a solo traveler. Adorable cottage with the perfect amount of indoor and outdoor space. 1 block from the beach and 3 blocks from the town center. Easy parking for 1 car in the drive way. The stairs to the bedroom were fine for me, but I could see how a less agile person may struggle. My only difficulty was finding the door when arriving in the dark. You have to walk through the yard to get to the back door that allows you to let yourself in. Other than that, I had a smooth process! Definitely recommended.

Cozy cottage

We really enjoyed this property. Turkish Delight is a cozy cottage that is perfect for two people. It is very close to the pool and the beach and a very short walk to the shops and restaurants. The kitchen is tiny. There is a very nice ice maker in the small fridge, but no freezer. It worked well for us because we ate out or had premade food from Publix. The lap pool is now offering food which was fabulous. It is literally steps from the cottage and the food was good. There isn’t a TV downstairs, so you have to watch TV in bed. We spent most of our time outside so it really didn’t bother us. A couple “cons” Everytime we opened the door to the washer the door would push against the thermostat and turn the heat on. They don’t have deep fitted sheets so your sheets keep coming off the bed once you get in it. The property manager and maintenance were very helpful for the couple things we needed. When we didn’t have a corkscrew in the kitchen, they went out and bought one and delivered it to us.

Seaside 2022

Property was clean and easy to access and in a beautiful part of the neighborhood. It was about three blocks to walk to the main square at Seaside. There is private beach access as well which was nice. My husband and I overall enjoyed our stay. Main floor has a small seating area and small kitchen nook. There are winding stairs to take you to the upstairs loft area which has a bathroom and bed. The upstairs area does get warm compared to the downstairs area. The fan upstairs does not have a very high speed either. And the bed is more stiff than we prefer. But overall for a quick stay that’s close to seaside we would stay here again! Thanks for all your help!

Noise

Unfortunately the tree limbs haven’t been trimmed in a very long time, they hung over the metal roof and make the worst screeching sound all day and night. I spoke with the management but they didn’t fix the problem. The noise kept us from sleeping at all it was awful! They could have cared less that we were unable to rest and enjoy our stay.

Turkish Delight

The location is very very good BUT the house is extremely tiny, and air does not flow upstairs at all. The house was filthy, blinds, TV, bed, chairs covered in dust. There was also sand under the bed and table, and 2 of the towels were dirty. The pictures make this place look bigger then it is, and I mistakenly thought the wrong house pictures were listed on VRBO!!! The wide angle of the pics that make it look better than it is, but my fault for not reading prior reviews. Your clothes cannot be put or hung up, so they have to stay in your suitcase and the bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. The washer/dryer all in one unit takes A LONG TIME to wash and dry. Hours actually...so bring towels. I stay at Seaside every summer, and have rented many places on VRBO never posting a negative review, but in my opinion this cottage is not worth the money/ fees, as their are so many other places available. We arrived very late due to delays, but I was able to get through to Best Beach Getaways when they opened the next morning, and they sent a cleaning crew in immediately. I dealt with Erica, who was super helpful and she did try to help us find another rental, but none were available. She was in constant communication, even providing her cell phone, and I felt she truly tried her best to remedy the house issues within her limitations.

Property just perfect! However I will never rent from Best Beach Getaways again.

I enjoyed the property. If I were the owner I would find a different property management group. I was able to get in early which I appreciated. Though had a difficult time with the door didn’t know to turn the knob which were not in instructions. Refrigerator door would not close on day one. Called to get it repaired. Never got a call. Thursday contacted Manager left message. Friday am called manager and was yelled at telling me he had nothing to do with repairs. He did get my message and had turned in another repair order. The order was turned in on Wednesday. It finally was repaired Thursday at 3:00 pm. My food purchased on Wednesday all went to waste I never once received a call of I’m sorry for your inconvenience we will reimburse you etc. Absolutely nothing. I will never rent any property that is managed by Best Beach Getaway again. Owner all your air filters are nasty. I could see them in the floor and you have light bulbs out. Your management property does not take care of your unit. A-shame your property is perfect!

Has Great Potential BUT . . .

The Turkish Delight is in a great location, just steps from the center of Seaside and the beach. Yet, there are so many things that could easily improve the guests' stay in this cottage. First, in today's world, there is no reason for the cottage to not have WiFi. Also as many guests have commented, a TV could easily be added downstairs and make a huge difference. The beautiful bay window is a perfect space for a comfy reading chair or small sofa; the antique straight back dining room chair is a joke and not functional in the space. It was really not fun to have to curl up in bed to watch TV or to read a book (A Sandy Bed Is Not Fun). There is also plenty of space for some appropriate nightstands to add storage and drawers for storage. Without a closet and a very simple TV stand with two drawers; there is simply NO space to put your things (it is also not fun to live out of a suitcase for a few days). This cottage could be so much better with the owners being more intentional and purposeful about how to make the cottage more welcoming and functional for their guest. We have stayed in the Seaside area and surrounding area multiple times per year for over 10-years and other places are much more accommodating for their guests. Lastly, as previously committed, I was less than pleased with Best Beach Getaway as managers. We were not provided with a beach pavilion access code in the check-in paperwork (the bathroom code is provided but this code does not access the beach gate).. I called three different phone numbers, left three different voicemails, and never heard back from anyone. After standing at the beach gate for over an hour, I finally got someone at the management office to answer and give me the code. Keep in mind the beach pavilion access changes weekly, so have a plan to get the code before you arrive - don't count on anyone helping you out at the management office. Unfortunately, based on previous comments, this is not the first time that Best Beach Getaways has not been responsive to their guests. If you are looking for a place that is convenient to the beach and Seaside, then this cottage is great. Yet, be prepared for a not so cozy, welcoming environment or management staff.
