Gaulding Cay Beach Dream Paradise

Newly renovated upscale beach cottage situated right on the gorgeous and secluded Bahama Time Gaulding Cay beach. 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Full Kitchen, Screened Porches, and super fast WIFI.
The gorgeous waterfront property includes the beach, dune, and the yard behind, with the house situated 50 steps behind the dune. Additional full-sized bed and a twin bed in the back room can be used as extra space. Partial-shade chairs permanently anchored in the sand. Nice at any time, but particularly with morning coffee or watching the sunset with cocktails. Deck straddling the dune; it's a nice place to set up the lounge chairs. The kayaks and paddle boards are stored underneath, making them handy for a quick paddle.
The beach itself is one of the finest on an island of great beaches, with beautiful white sand flats and the picturesque cay just offshore. When you type in 'Gaulding Cay Beach' on VRBO you find pages of rentals, but as our headline reads, only 3 rentals actually front Gaulding Cay Beach.
We never discourage anyone from exploring Eleuthera, particularly first-time visitors, but if your intent is to stay put, relax on the beach, and enjoy protected waters, you can't do better than Bahama Time.

Shhhhhhh.....

Wow, this was an amazing trip for our family of 4, and I truly can say, this was one of our favorites due to the accommodations, hospitality, location, and the overall beauty of the property. The house was immaculate and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for our stay of three weeks. While on the island, there was problems with a lack of water/electricity. The villa has a generator and personal water system, which was huge for us.The beds/mattresses are extremely comfortable and our family of 4 slept great every night. I will say that they are low platform beds, so that may be a problem for some, but was not for us. The hospitality.... wow! Pema was our host and he is wonderful! Every morning, on the back patio the cooler was full of ice for the beach, fresh-cut coconuts to drink (cold), and multiple fresh mangos to eat. He came by most afternoons to see if we needed anything for the house (TP, paper towels, water, fresh sheets), or just to say "hi." Pema was a major highlight of the property. Thank you, Pema! The property, in my opinion, has the best beach location with Gaulding Cay in your backyard. The villa has everything needed to snorkel and explore the cay. We saw some beautiful stingrays! Also, clear bottom canoes and paddle boards were there for us, which my kids enjoyed and used daily. Bahama Time is a treasure that did not disappoint and we hope to visit again.

Sweet home

The house was very clean, the beach was beautiful. The only small issue we had was that the house was lacking a few basics which were not easy to get and would have been nice if they were there... salt & pepper, laundry soap... most of the the water equipment was not maintained so it was not useable. I hate to complain about anything because the house was perfect in most all other ways but those few things would make a large difference when someone is spending this amount of money per night.

Picture perfect Caribbean beach

Gorgeous Gaulding cay with your own deck on the beach, perfect newly renovated cottage - 3 bedrooms, kayaks, paddle boards, good snorkeling at the small island right out front, minutes to Glass Window, The Cove, Queens baths and Daddy joes. Pema was a great concierge and can arrange anything for you.

INCREDIBLE

We LOVED our stay at Bahama Time. Could not ask for a better location -- right on Gaulding Cay. This was our second time back to Eleuthera and knew we wanted to be as close to Gaulding as possible and wow - were we in for a treat. The property is gorgeous - the house is beautiful and spacious. They had paddleboards and kayaks and masks to use. The snorkeling at the little island right off the beach is amazing - swam with a sea turtle. and you are a short drive to Gregory Town and not to mention a favorite spot - Daddy Joes. We will be back -- hopefully soon!

Wolfs in sheep’s clothing !!

The location beautiful, the so called manager and owner became wolfs in sheep’s clothing and attempted to blame me and my documented service animal for their evil ways. They will never lay their heads down with clear consciousness again or treat me like that ever ! As a 55 year old human living with medical conditions I am lost for words for these vampires. Without customers there is no Business ever !!!

Bahama time vacation

This is absolutely beautiful. The best beach for snorkeling,swimming, saw many beautiful fish, even saw a turtle. The most beautiful water color I’ve ever seen. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was helpful and nice. Thanks for letting us enjoy your paradise.

Gorgeous beach - almost to your self

Quaint cottage with new furnishings and renovations on gorgeous Gaulding Cay. Sunsets on the beach, a shaded deck with loungers and palm trees with a view of it all, snorkel around the island right out front or kayak in the glass bottom kayak and see the fish right from the boat. Service was attentive and just a text away. Daddy Jo's is a short walk, the Cove is close by for fine dining, can kayak to Glass bridge and short drive to Harbour Island

Hidden gem

This property was an excellent choice for our family. We were able to relax, find plenty of adventure and activity for teenagers to enjoy, and take in beautiful sunsets each evening. A true hidden gem. Complete with fresh coconuts daily. Perfect way to ring in the new year!

Vacation Paradise

My husband, dogs and I just got back from staying at Bahama Time. The whole vacation was amazing! This was our first time in Eleuthera and planned on exploring much of the island, but found ourselves staying at the house because of the beautiful location and beach. Chungo and Gembo we amazing, if we needed anything they promptly made it happen. I can't say enough about this property. We were sad to leave. Hopefully we can come back soon!

Incredible beach house

We had a wonder stay at Bahama Time. The property was just right for six adults. The staff was super helpful and communicated with us everyday. We absolutely loved the beach and spent most of our time there. We are definitely going back again in the future!

Unforgettable!

The property changed ownership between booking and our stay. This was a delayed (planned for 2020 and cancelled due to the pandemic) celebration of life trip for my father. We are eternally grateful the new owner honored the booking. Overall it is a fantastic property. We rented based primarily on location, which did not disappoint! Despite some rougher days on the water, the cay offered a variety of fish, starfish, yellow stingray (at least 5 of them) and one very large southern ray just off the cay. Also saw two lobster! There is quite the sand dollar field as well so watch your step! We only have minor constructive criticisms. First, the house was not as clean as expected. There were someone else’s sunglasses under a bed and the floors and fixtures were not very clean. Rather than bring the issue up, we just did a little cleaning ourselves. I have no doubt management would have rectified the issue immediately - they are superb. The second issue is minor but impacted what we opted to bring with us. The original listing had photos of books and games and lots of them. We spent two weeks at the house and wanted to make sure we all had lots of options for activities without technology. Unfortunately, all books and games were gone. I thought I confirmed availability but must have misunderstood. Would have brought a few more items. Third, the dining table in the house was VERY small. It had 4 chairs but was a tight squeeze if you are trying to seat 4 people for a meal. The outdoor screened porch is gigantic and has a table that probably seats 16. We used it at night (it has 2 fans and the screens worked well to keep bugs at bay) but during our stay it was just too warm to sit out during the day. Additional notes: Internet was unreliable but that is anticipated to improve post-renovations. Power went out a few times but it is anticipated a generator will be installed soon. Water leak in the en-suite bathroom took most of our trip to resolve but it is repaired. Management addressed this to our satisfaction. There are no curtains, towel racks, or a mirror in the en-suite bathroom and one light fixture had only one bulb and no cover. All of these issues are expected to be resolved by the renovations taking place, which had only just begun prior to our stay. I cannot speak highly enough about Jerome (property manager) and Gembo. They are fantastic! If we needed anything they were immediately responsive, professional, and friendly!

Perfect Getaway

Bahama Time is amazing! The house is absolutely lovely and it is on the most stunning beach. The house is stocked with kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs, and many other thoughtful touches to make your stay perfect. The grounds keeper was friendly and easy to reach (we rented a car from him). The house is also very close to the Glass Window Bridge and the Queens Bath. It was an amazing trip.

Great location and house

We loved our stay at Bahama Time. Gaulding Cay Beach is beautiful and it is fun to snorkel around the island right out from the house. It was a great location to visit Queens Baths and do other activities as well and right near Daddy Joes restaurant with excellent food. We would highly recommend staying at Bahama Time!

Easy and peaceful place

The place is great and wouldn't change a thing. Wallace was very helpful with any questions and switching between water supplies. It's a great spot to explore from and super easy to go visit the Atlantic side to Queen's Bath for a very different atmosphere. All the appliances and cookware needed to cook anything... all good quality too. I wish we could go back!

Outstanding rustic beach getaway

If you're looking for a no-frills, comfortable stay on an absolutely amazing unpopulated beach, then this is for you. The modest house is on a very large, secluded lot, steps away from a spectacular beach that for most hours of the day felt like our private retreat. The owner and property manager were professional, prompt to address questions and provide assistance. This is not a five-star resort, and some of the amenities in rural Eleuthera are sometimes limited, but we loved it. Power can go out and water can too for the entire island, but the property manager was very prompt and professional in resolving issues. The locals were uniformly friendly, courteous and helpful, and we were impressed with the local COVID testing infrastructure. The island is rapidly changing, with large resorts and small bungalows like this one getting razed for luxury accommodations. So come before Eleuthera becomes yet another tourist trap, and be nice, respectful and have a great time getting away from reality for a while.

The cottage on the beach was perfect. It wasn't fancy, by any means, but was comfortable and we had every convenience we could have wanted. Fantastic place if you want to get away and do nothing.

Amazing

The house and details were fantastic! The beach was out of this world, access to the kayaks and paddle boards a bonus. Wallace helped us with car rental and any questions we had. Bahama Time was simply the best vacation we’ve had! Eleuthera is a special place to explore with so much to do- the only down side of Bahama Time is that it’s so nice and it’s beach is so incredible- that we didn’t end up exploring as much as we intended!

Serene Dreamy Beach Home

My family & brother stayed at Bahama Time for 9 nights which was too short! We had the greatest vacation ever! Kids were age 11, 9, 5, & 1. The waters were gorgeous & shallow as described. We spent countless hours enjoying the beach & waters! We went snorkeling around the cay everyday & saw coral, SO MANY starfish, jellyfish, sting rays, puffer fish, Lion fish, … It was amazing! We also enjoyed paddle boarding on the super calm water days, which was about 5 of the 9 days. The home is spacious & better than pictures! I loved being right at the beach but also having a good amount of yard so I wasn’t worrying the littles would wander off. WiFi worked great. Beds were super comfortable & slept wonderfully. Power went out for most of the day on one day. The water went out twice, we just messaged Wallace & he came over quickly & got it working. The toaster & blender need replaced but that was no big deal, there was plentiful nice cookware & we cooked everyday including fresh fish we bought off the dock in Gregory Town. Highly recommend the pineapple farm tour! They also gave us lots of fresh organic produce during the tour which was hard to find at the stores during Feb. Took a day trip to Harbour Island & was amazed by the stunning Pink Sands beach! The berry smoothie & muffins at Bahamas Coffee Roasters was delicious! And the Conch Salad at the Queen Conch! COVID testing was easy on island. Did not need an appointment, fast outdoors stands all over islands. The Eleuthera airport was a trying process for our younger children, took us over an hour to check in for flight, but the people working were kind & doing there best. One women even bought my 5 year old a treat because he helped her do the pretravel-check stickers on our passports. We will be coming again! Next time we will stay longer, bring less clothes, & more food! Thanks for sharing you bit of beach perfection with us!!!!
