Unique private access studio with outdoor spa in paradise.

Perched on a hill-top of thirteen wooded acres—dark night skies and amazing hikes/view--22 miles north of San Francisco in the midst of tranquil paradise. A most unique and isolated getaways in the Bay Area, yet WiFi and cell coverage. Scenic, windy and at times bumpy paved one mile drive off of Lucas Valley road. Down 24 steps from unit is a gorgeous hot-tub, outdoor shower, seasonal outdoor fire pit, sauna and icebath. Sauna and icebath can be scheduled for two one time per night. Designer furniture, down comforter, beautiful art, high-end linens. A spacious studio, and we can bring in an extra single bed that can be requested.

The space
This is a large studio with work area and great wifi. Private entrance and deck. There’s a microwave, drip coffee, coffee, tea, plates, spoons, etc—mini-frig and utensils; but no kitchen. New Casper memory foam mattress. We provide extra heaters so occupants can control the temp during cold season. Best of the place: star gazing at night from the hot tub which is 24 steps from the unit, or watching hawks circle the grounds at eye level. We are on well water.

We have ample parking and are located 25 minutes from the closest downtown.

Other things to note
Our place is in Marin (Nicasio) and up a beautiful one mile drive through a wooded area. Although we are not far from civilization, it feels very remote and amazingly beautiful. Not that remote, but once you come you may want not to leave...
Some ambient noise is possible from main house.

The room is ideal for two, but for a small charge we can bring in a roll away bed and extra linens for a child, or extra person, or if you need two beds. Please ask and pay ahead of time so our cleaners are aware.

Also, it may be possible to book a two-hour early check-in or check out for $25. If desired, please request and we will ask the cleaner.

We know people come to our place to relax, and we respect this.

Beautiful spot

I was in the area for the Point Reyes Bird Festival. The unit is in an idyllic spot surrounded by hills and forest. It is a couple miles off the main road on a steep winding private road but worth the trip. I would recommend arriving during daylight.

Beautiful secluded stay

We really enjoyed our stay here on a family vacation. It was quiet, well maintained, and we especially loved the hot tub! Elizabeth was quick with communication and provided plenty of information on the area as well. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Close to the trees

Beautiful location

This property is in a stunning location with a beautiful view. The place was spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area. Lots of great hiking near by and close enough to restaurants and other activities.

Beautiful Room in mountains

The room is beautiful and pleasant. The drive up is steep and rough in places but manageable. It was cloudy and we got in late so we didn't get to enjoy the hot tub under the stars.

Lovely retreat

We had a really nice stay. Quiet, comfortable place to stay, good for what we needed, just a quiet retreat. Not a lot of places to sit, and definitely a drive from town. The morning after our stay we went over to Point Reyes for a hike. Recommend arriving during the daytime, the road is narrow and winding.

Enchanting Escape: A Five-Star Retreat with Breathtaking Views and Gracious Host

An absolute gem! I wish I could give this home more than five stars. The location is breathtaking, the room is beautifully appointed with unbeatable views. Wonderful property. The directions from the host were really helpful. The bed was so comfortable, we're going to buy a new mattress! Lovely and quiet. Lots of birds. We inconvenienced the owner by not knowing our check out date, which she was gracious about. Then my husband lost his wallet, and Beth looked for us. Great host!

Beautiful getaway!

My stay was excellent!! The instructions to get there were super clear, and there was a cute little wildflower bouquet set out for us and some nice instructions about hiking in the area. I really enjoyed the pond in the backyard which was full of cute little tadpoles!! I liked the feeling of peace in the space and feeling isolated from all my worries.

Unique, secluded down-time haven

Second time at this property this time on my own, and a great spot to stay to go Point Reyes, and areas east-San Rafael, Novato. Extremely quiet, with woods and sometimes wildlife, like deer. No TV, radio, cell phone coverage is spotty. Depending on your carrier... This is the place to unplug.

Great property excellent views horrible drive

Everything (almost) was great and owners very responsive and accommodating. BIG issue though… the Drive between Lucas Valley Rd and property was treacherous and basically horrible; enough to make me dread basic comings and goings. Ambient noise from owner/dogs above was unpleasant and unexpected the first night so I requested a fan for white noise which pretty much remedied that issue. Other than those things, the unit is really nice and super cute. View spectacular and hot tub great. Others may not mind the drive but it is a total deal breaker for me.
