Luxury Oceanfront View Villa with Chef, Housekeeping and Concierge Services

Villa Amore is a beautiful, Tuscan-style, luxury villa offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Villa Amore features 4 spacious guest suites. The primary guest suite on the main floor provides a king bed, large walk-in closet with safe and a full 4-piece en suite bathroom with a double-sink vanity and a bidet. The remaining 3 guest suites, located on the upper level, each provide a queen bed and a daybed which convert to (2) twin/single beds, accommodating up to 4 guests per guest suite. Each guest suite offers a full 3-piece en suite bathroom and walk-in closet with a safe.
Full-time chef services are offered and included in your luxury rental. This includes breakfast and dinner preparation, serving, and clean-up (Monday-Saturday). Guests are required to purchase their own groceries, ingredients and beverages. Or, if you prefer, our caretakers will be happy to provide shopping service for a nominal fee.

Guests can enjoy a spacious, custom-designed chef’s kitchen. It is fully equipped with an expansive refrigerator and freezer with ice-maker, professional Italian cooktop range and oven, wine cooler fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee & espresso maker, blender, and all the necessary cooking and baking utensils. Just off the kitchen is an oversized outdoor terrace, featuring a BBQ grilling area with sink and an extendable dining table, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty encompassing the entire villa and ocean view, surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

Just minutes from the villa, brings you to a couple small, natural beaches. These beaches may too rugged for swimming but they are an amazing place to spread out a towel and relax, collect shells, and take in the surrounding serene beauty. When the tide is low, you can hike along the lava rock and swim or snorkel with the tropical fish in the shallow tidal pools.

Villa Amore is only a 5 minute drive from beautiful Playa Carrillo. In March 2013, Travel and Leisure Magazine featured it in the Top 25 secret beaches in the world. The magazine describes it as a white-sand beach framed by mountains and just off a boulevard lined by palm trees. It is safe to swim, surf or just lounge under the palm trees and try out a fresh coconut water or a flavored shaved ice, from one of the local vendors . It is perfect for an early morning walk along this 2 km beach and top if off with a relaxing massage from a local beach vendor or you can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the end of the day. The beach is protected by rocky headlands and provides calm, warm water for all swimmers.

Villa Amore is located in the province of Guanacaste, one of the five Blue Zones of the world, and is approximately two hours from Liberia International Airport (LIR) and is approximately four hours from San Jose International Airport (SJO).

Villa Amore

This is a beautiful location and gorgeous home. Alex and Jenny as in home cooks and vacation friends are an amazing addition. 10 members of our family enjoyed this stay and the fabulous meals they prepared. The presentation....table cloth, cloth napkins was so lovely. The view is incredible and the kids (and adults) had so much fun in the pool. Alex was very helpful getting us booked with an inshore fishing trip and surf lessons. His recommendations helped make this part of our trip memorable. Great location close to two beautiful beaches Playa Carrillo and Samara. We saw whales, monkeys and birds from the balcony. Definitely a piece of paradise. Laura is easy to communicate with while you are working on the booking process and beyond!! We had a great experience there and honestly, we didn't want to leave.

Beautiful property with fantastic chef

We had high expectations for this property and they were exceeded. The staff provided - chefs/housekeepers were exceptional. The meals are best described as fine dining - such a pampering to have breakfast and dinner made to order for you 6 days a week. The house itself is also beautiful and has such an incredible view. We were able to watch whales out on the ocean. It is also in a more rural area. There were literally monkeys swinging through the trees down the street. We also felt very safe here. Highly, highly recommend.

Great 60th Birthday

Villa Amore lived up to its reputation. The views , the house and of course Jenny and Alex. They made fabulous meals and made us feel welcome! The beaches and sunsets were amazing! Laura was great to deal with and always responded quickly to questions. We will come again for sure! Pura Vida!

Amazing Getaway!

I could write a book about how wonderful our stay was! This property is amazing, beautiful home, view and location. Having Jenny and Alex was incredible! They are so kind and accomodating and made us feel at home. Breakfast and dinners were incredible! In addition, we had a few changes and questions before we arrived and Laura was more than accomodating and helpful during the process. Would absolutely stay here again and we are hoping to do so in the near future! Wonderful vacation!!!

our family spent about 10 days at the home and had a wonderful time. Fantastic Costa Rica Vacation

Great week at this property. House is perfect in every way and Alex and Jenny made our stay so enjoyable. The meals they prepared were A+. Coffee at sunrise every morning over the Pacific was special. Close to beaches and activities. Really enjoyed Samara. If you are looking for high rise condo, hotels, traffic and congestion don’t go!! If you are looking for a great little beach town then highly recommended this home

Paradise!!!

8 days and 7 nights of pure joy! We loved the views, the villa, the adventurous activities, the food and last but not least Alex and Jenny!! The pictures you see online of the villa are great however within 30 seconds of stepping on the property in person we were even more impressed and immediately knew we had made the perfect decision. We will definitely return and tell many others about Villa Amore!

This was an amazing vacation. Villa Amore is a breathtaking property. Alex and Jenny are fantastic caretakers that will help you with all of your needs, from local places to eat, excursions, massages by the pool, and even making fabulous dinners for you when you want to just stay in. We enjoyed the sounds of nature at the house while relaxing by the pool and going to the beach which was a 5 minute drive away. I cant say enough about Villa Amore!!😍

A beautiful property that feels like home.

Villa Amore is an excellent vacation home. It is well appointed and comfortable, and in a beautiful location. The property is well maintained and the views are amazing. There are fruit trees and wildlife on the grounds, and it’s only a few minutes hike from some very secluded beaches. The kitchen is well appointed and the common areas have comfortable furniture. The bedrooms are a nice size and each has air conditioning and a private bathroom. The showers are definitely on the small side, and the towels are a bit small and becoming threadbare. It would be nice to have more than one bath towel per room for a week-long stay. The beds are very comfortable but the pillows were also in need of replacement. They are well compacted fiberfill, and quite uncomfortable, with only 1 provided per person. The caretakers on the property are charming and helpful. The meals that they prepare are delicious, and they are very accommodating. They exude hospitality and grace, and are a definite asset to the overall stay. I would definitely overlook some of the property’s shortcomings in order to stay again with Alex and Jenny. We are definitely looking forward to a future stay at Villa Amore, and are thankful that George and Isabella have built a beautiful home that they are willing to share with others. Pura Vida!

Awesome!

We had one the best times ever at Villa Amore. The place is everything as described and then some. Pictures and description on this site doesn’t do this gorgeous house justice! The living spaces are huge and well appointed with great views all over. The bedrooms are quite spacious and each one ocean facing! Bathrooms are also very nice, modern and with STRONG WATER PRESSURE showers! I stay in many vacation homes and hotels. That what impressed me most about this home is the cleanliness! Being a hotelier, it is my nature to look for unclean areas and remedy them. I have to say, the place was CLEAN, CRISP and FRESH! Kudos to the management! So far I was taking about bricks and mortar and stones and marbles. What makes this place “ home” are Alex and Jenny! If I could I would have packed them in my bag and bought them home! Always welcoming with a warm smile and ready to serve. They prepared some very tasty dinners and served memorable breakfasts! The place was so peaceful with no distractions, great views , beatiful neighborhood and how could I forget the big endless pool! We had such a great time ( wished had few more days to spend)! But then there is always next time. Yes George We will be back! And last but not the least, I want to thank you for your hospitality, for the help in providing all the details to plan our stay and checking up on us! Hat’s off to you for genuinely caring!

beautiful villa

Very clean, private and a wonderful view (as advertised). Not too far from town with a couple of beach accesses, one with a small waterfall as advertised in the outback waterfall tour) within walking distance. The beaches were not good swimming beaches but you could walk along the shore at low tied and look into lots of tidal pools etc. We would walk to the store in the am for supplies (about 40 minutes round trip). The caretakers live in a suite on the lower level and were very attentive to our needs. They both speak some English which was very helpful. The villa was cleaned each day and a breakfast was provided any day we wanted. They were a nice young couple who were very eager to help. The view is amazing with a wonderful outdoor area. Everything is very new and it all worked well. We needed to get a few supplies provided but Alex and Jenny were quick to help. The kitchen is very well stocked and they also provided beach towels if we needed them. The villa really does come as advertised. There was house construction going on beside and below us with construction noise beginning early in the morning which was hardly ideal but not within the villa owner's control. We were there with our two teenage kids and we found that there was no real master bedroom. The beds were a bit smaller and harder than we were used to but each room had a very comfortable futon couch that could be used if needed. Our communications with the owner were great. George was very good at providing information and staying in touch with us. Overall a good experience.

Tranquility and Privacy with a Spectacular View

We had the great pleasure of enjoying this home for 9 days over the 2017 holidays. The property is very comfortable with an incredible kitchen and really well appointed outdoor spaces to relax and lounge. The large pool was just the right temperature and refreshing. The house had great wifi and Smart TV options. There were days that we did not leave the property, cooking our own meals on the BBQ and just enjoying the peace and quiet after the incredible sunsets. The silence was occasionally broken by the howler monkeys and colorful birds that came to entertain us. At night you hear the ocean waves on the rocks. What can be better? The caretakers on site were very gracious and helpful and offered a measure of comfort knowing that they were available to assist in the event of a problem. Jenny also kept the house tidy and clean without being intrusive which was much appreciated. As with everything in life, though, there were some tradeoffs. Nothing insurmountable, but one should be aware of them. The house is a 15 minute drive from Samara with its restaurants and the market. The road can be a bit challenging at first, but after a day or two it is not a major problem to negotiate. As mentioned by a previous guest, the showers were all undersized for a home of this size and quality. We also arrived to find that no soap or shampoo and other basic amenities were provided. This necessitated an immediate trip to the market in town to stock up. We have stayed in many similar homes and generally have found small "hotel style" toiletries to make it through the first day or so. Overall we had an exceptional time. You can go zip lining in Samara and we took a snorkel trip that also took us out to find dolphins which was quite an experience. The beach at Carrillo is one of the most beautiful I have seen. It's about 3 km long around a bay and is very quiet and deserted in places. Our family was thrilled with the choice of Villa Amore for our vacation and recommend it for families looking for a peaceful and restful home in Costa Rica.

Vacation like a celebrity

What a great vacation! My family and I loved this home. The owners were easy to communicate with & they answered all of my questions. I felt like I sent way too many emails, but they answered each one of them quickly & were extremely helpful. They made everything easy. Now for the home itself. There are three bedrooms on the second floor. Each identical in size. They have a nice sized bathroom & a walk-in closet. The rooms are air conditioned & have a ceiling fan. There are no televisions in the rooms & they were not needed. You are in Costa Rica...you don't need television. Several reviewers mentioned that the showers are small. I would agree that the shower is smaller than the one I have in my home, but it wasn't a problem for us. Even when all six of us were showering before dinner all within a 30-45 minute period we never once ran out of hot water. The living space had two nice couches, & a large flat screen television (which we only watched once for about 30 minutes). The kitchen had a huge professional side by side refrigerator. The kitchen was fully stocked. We cooked there twice. The pool and out door living space is amazing. The view from the covered dining area and the pool was incredible. The first night we were there I was almost positive that I could see every star in the galaxy. The view of the surrounding forest & the expansive Pacific Ocean can be seen from almost everywhere on the property. It truly was a $10 Million dollar view. We saw howler monkeys climbing in the trees of the property on at least 4 different occasions. We saw several different tropical birds & other wildlife on the property. The property care takers, Alex and Jenny, were great. They cooked breakfast for us several times & they prepared one dinner. The food was fantastic. Jenny also kept our rooms nice and tidy. They are both very friendly & not intrusive. Alex was very helpful with restaurant suggestions & with any other questions we had. I hate to say anything negative about this house because we loved it so much, but if there has to be one thing we all agreed we wish was a little better it would be the bedding. The beds were much more firm than what we are used to at home & we didn't have the greatest sleeping experience as we would have liked, but that's just our preference. It would not keep us from staying here again or from recommending to others. It was the best vacation rental we have ever visited & we have stayed in many.

Family Vacay 2025

The villa is so much nicer than the photos. The table outside the kitchen on the patio was our favorite place in the villa. It seats more than 10 and the view of the ocean is incredible. You get a nice morning breeze to have your coffee and just enjoy your surroundings. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and never felt crowded with all the bedrooms and sitting areas. The pool was used every day and night and has the same views of the ocean. Jenny and Alex were beyond amazing, they make you feel like you’re part of the family. They are so helpful and will go the extra mile to help/please your every need. They are a big reason we may book the villa again.

Fantastic Family Vacation!

Our stay at Villa Amore was wonderful! As stated in previous reviews, pictures just don’t do it justice. I couldn’t get over the spectacular view from the outside terraces and took every opportunity to relax and enjoy it. Our family of six, five adults and an eight year-old, spent many hours enjoying the pool and all of us absolutely loved Jenny and Alex! They were so accommodating and assisted us any way they could. Meals were an event to be savored! We had one fussy eater his requests were always accommodated. The villa was immaculately kept and Jenny even did laundry upon request. Amazing house with great staff and perfect location

This place is amazing. I highly recommend. The location is great with tons of activities to do around it. Beaches are stunning and the view from the house is unprecedented.The staff at the house were extremely hepful and cooked some amazing food.

Love Villa Amore!

We recently stayed at Villa Amore as a family of 11. The home was WONDERFUL with amazing views of the ocean, a magnificent pool and fantastic accommodations. Alex and Jenny made wonderful meals night and morning. We never had a bad meal made by them. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!

Paradise and the Perfect Escape for our Family

Our extended family had the pleasure of staying at Villa Amore in mid-March as the second half of our family trip to Costa Rica. This was a perfect getaway spot for us with everything we could ask for and more. The place was spotless, the pool was well maintained and the view and ocean breezes couldn’t be beat. We loved the space in the bedrooms for all our luggage and as four separate families with children it was the perfect setup for sleeping. And then there was Alex and Jenny, they were so warm, welcoming and accommodating to our group. We all very much enjoyed their fabulous cooking and the break it gave us from making our own breakfast and dinners was a priceless luxury! We will be recommending this place to other friends and family.

Amazing family vacation

We rented the property for our mothers 70th birthday. 6 adults 4 kids ranging from 5 to 11. Basically everything that could have gone wrong did (planned area wide power outage for 1 day, unplanned area wide water outage for part of day, 5 year old ran through a sliding glass door) and even wjth all of that it was one of the best vacations any of us have had. The listing is even better than the pictures. The chef/caretakers Alex and Jenny are truly amazing and were able to troubleshoot all issues even though they werent the fault of the property. Location was perfect. Alex recommended a few local excursions such as horsebackriding that were amazing. Once in a lifetime experience.

Wow! We had such a time. The home is beautiful, well kept and run by the best staff. The surroundings allow you to see wildlife in the trees, whales in the ocean, and birds in the sky. Every meal was exceptional and the concierge service set up our airport shuttles, rental cars and the best excursions. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to return one day

Unbeatable Full Service Getaway

After staying in 40 short-term rental homes (of all price ranges) around the world, this is single-handedly the best in every way. Every day in the home was an animal watching experience. We saw and heard dozens of birds, local monkeys, and even whales breeching off the coast! All from the comfort of the incredibly luxurious and comfortable indoor/outdoor living spaces and the gorgeous and comfortable pool that the kiddos (ages 1-4) and the adults (all in our 30's) loved. It's hard to believe, but the listing description and photos don't do the house, property, and whole experience justice.Additionally, Alex and Jennifer (the onsite chefs/housekeepers/helpers) were a gift. They are professionally-trained chefs who have had years of practice and cook incredible food. We ended up going out for a few meals, but wish we would have had all breakfasts and dinners at the house. Both of them are kind but also blend in and are never intrusive, while also being inviting and hospitable; a rare combo.Other Details:-The house is extremely safe from robbery.-The two nearby towns are cute, and Playa Carrillo is a phenomenal beach.-The house is well-stocked with games, books, beach chairs, and kiddo pool toys floaties.-The concierge helped us book tours with ease.If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, plan your entire visit around this home.

Wonderful place! our 3rd time back and we love Alex and Jenny as they make it worth it! our kids love speaking to them in Spanish, and the meals Alex/Jenny make are phenomenal. lovely home and ideal location!

Large family trip - Amazing time

We had the most magical stay at Villa Amore. It truly is the definition of luxury. Such an amazing space to gather at the end of a day of adventuring to spend time together as a family, watching the sunset over the pacific. Alex and Jenny were phenomenal. So kind, professional and helpful. The meals were amazing, each one better than the last. My only advice would be to add some information to the pre trip information around customary tipping practices for the area, for both excursions and also for Alex and Jenny. They were so phenomenal and we wanted to show our gratitude but have no idea if the amount we left was sufficient.
