Spacious and beautiful home/property. Plenty of room for multiple families. We loved the screened in porches for morning coffee, hearing the creek flowing down below and the game room really kept the kids happy. We used the hot tub every day! The passes for the resort at Rumbling Bald was an added bonus that we enjoyed too! Marsh was very responsive to any questions I had, responded quickly and made some great suggestions of things to do. I would definitely stay here again!

I couldn’t have picked a better house for our family. It was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. The resort was top notch. Kids had a blast with all the amenities. We are already planning our next visit. You will not be disappointed if you book this house

Beautiful home situated in trees with a creek running behind the house with the sound that soothes the soul. The kitchen has everything very well equipped. The hot tub was also very relaxing. The game room was great for family entertainment and the air hockey was my favorite. Great get away for family. Also the amenities at the resort was also a plus. Swim in the lake or pools, float around in the lazy river. Play miniature golf. Great for young and old!

"Falling Waters" is an exquisite home nestled in the mountains. The scenic views are breathtaking. While sitting on one of the screened-in porches, you can hear the peaceful noise of the river below. Communication with the host is efficient. He is knowledgeable about the house & surroundings, as well as thoughtful. "Falling Waters" & its host, Marsh, both earned above 5 stars. We highly recommend this property for your vacationing needs. You won't be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Great communication with the host. 20-man golf trip, plenty of room for all. House was clean and cozy. We hope to be back soon.

Great Family Vacation!I chose this Falling Waters for our extended family of 17 people from all across the country to gather and reconnect. The house was perfect for our needs! Access to the house was a little tricky at first, but our host was very helpful and responsive in guiding us through the process. We thoroughly enjoyed the game room and the hot tub, the well-appointed kitchen, along with the beautiful screened porches. I am handicapped and I really appreciated the accessibility of the main floor. The toilet with bidet was an extra nice touch. The internet was a bit spotty at times, but it didn't matter because that wasn't what we were there for. We visited Asheville and Chimney Rock, and part of our group went rafting down the French Broad River. The amenities at nearby Rumbling Bald Resort were amazing. We took full advantage of the pools, the lake beach, and the restaurant there. We also took the Lake Lure boat tour which was very enjoyable. The lake is amazingly beautiful! This was the kind of vacation that I had always dreamed of having but didn't know how or where to do it. I really hope to go back again one day.

Great rental experience

Our family had a great vacation here. The house had everything we could possibly need. Host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to questions. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in staying at Lake Lure. Having access to amenities of Rumbling Bald resort was very nice.

This home was exactly what our family needed during a difficult time. We came together after the loss of our nephew, and the peaceful setting brought us so much comfort. The house was the perfect size for all of us with beautiful balconies overlooking the mountains, woods and river. The views were truly calming that helped us reflect and reconnect. We made wonderful memories enjoying the hot tub and game room and the home had everything we needed and more. We are so grateful for such a welcoming, tranquil space. Thank you for providing a place where our family could be together and find a bit of peace.

Lake lure family trip

We live in Florida and like to come up to the mountains at least twice a year this year we picked lake Lure and are supper glad we ended up in this property. Everything on the home was really wonderful the owner thinks about all your needs. From games for the kids the room arrangements and all the basic necessities. We would gladly stay in this home again and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Falling Waters in Lake Lure. The home was spacious, beautiful, and a great setup for a large family weekend. The views were gorgeous, and we especially loved the outdoor spaces and the amenities at the club — such a fun bonus for everyone.Our trip definitely had a few unexpected moments along the way. The first night, the fire alarm went off for quite some time and the fire department had to come out, which made for an interesting start to the weekend. Then, unrelated to the property, we ended up making an ER trip because of a kidney stone… so let’s just say this family vacation kept us on our toes. There were just a few minor things that could make future stays even better for large groups. More towels would have been helpful, the TV in the family room never seemed to work properly, and the outdoor porches could have used a little freshening up/cleaning. With the warmer season just beginning, that may have simply been overlooked.Overall, though, we made great memories and had a really good stay. Beautiful property, plenty of space for families, and a weekend we definitely won’t forget.

Family wedding

Our 6 day stay was an extended before & after wedding family vacation. The location at Rumbling Bald was convenient to the wedding in Rutherfordton but also provided convenient access to local hiking and outdoor activities. The home was spacious even though we had several young adults and teens - no one had a share a bed with a sibling! We especially loved the screened porches and listening to the “Falling Waters” of the creek below. Home was beautifully appointed and owner readily responded to any questions we had. Lovely stay!

Wonderful!

We recently stayed at Marsh’s place for a weekend getaway, and it was a fantastic experience! The home was exactly as described—spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to local attractions yet peaceful enough for a relaxing retreat. Marsh was incredibly accommodating, providing clear and detailed instructions. loved the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to prepare meals and enjoy family dinners. The outdoor enclosed patio space was a highlight, for morning coffee and an inviting hot tub for evening relaxation. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend, and I can’t recommend this rental enough for anyone looking for a cozy and convenient escape!

Manager Retreat

My company had a manager retreat and there was 12 of us that stayed in the house. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We did not feel crowded. There was enough space that during our working sessions we could all sit in a circle for collaboration and be comfortable. We had a little hiccup trying to get in when we first arrived. Marsh was very responsive and took care of the situation immediately.

Family vacation

Our vacation was great. The house held 8 adults and 5 kids. Rumbling bald was great and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool areas. The restaurants on site were convenient and served Starbucks. The only thing I would say is that the access to the creek is only available by very steep steps leading down. And the room with the 4 beds is above a detached garage. So our kids were just a little too young to stay in there by themselves. Overall great experience at this house! Marsh was very communicative and proactive with everything.

Hey Amanda, it was great having you and very glad to hear that you had a great time. Yes, those steps can be a leg burner but worth the experience. I agree that the 5th bedroom is best for kids that are a little older but allows them to have their own space in the game room. I hope you come back, we will be installing a hot tub around Labor Day.

2025 Family Trip Success!

The process to get our family trip started was super easy. The host was very helpful and accommodating to our needs.The house is beautiful and setup perfectly for multiple families. We were able to walk down to the creek behind the house and do some exploring. But some of us just enjoyed being on the outside deck enjoying the sounds of nature. The passes to the resort was a plus for a family with all different ages, it allowed access to the pool which has a lazy river. The house was only 5 minutes from the resort. Overall, my family and I enjoyed being together in a beautiful home making lasting memories. We took updated family photos in the outside area that was setup beautifully. We are already planning our next trip back here. Thanks to host Marsh!

Kitchen 2 table memories

We loved the kitchen so much we made every meal and gathered at the table. Many laughs, stories and memories were made as well as some great meals. Listening to the babbling brook from the screened in porches silenced the mind and gave peace to your heart. The facilities for swimming, putt putt, beach, play area, etc are wonderful and clean and close to the house. We all got a good laugh out of trying to figure out how to lock the keypads#. Only took 6 adults and a phone call.
