1) There is a fire ban in the Kawartha region for the month of April. Lighting an outdoor fire at this time will lead to penalties imposed by the city officials.
2) There is a fence surrounding the backyard and the beach between April and October to keep wild animals away. The fence can be easily removed when guests are ready to enter the water and use the dock and watercrafts.

Very family friendly

An overall great stay! Very easy for families with children as they have everything from indoor and outdoor toys, electrical plugs, low beds, proofed corners, children cutlery/utensils and more. I appreciated the fence in the (super large) backyard to keep animals away - we didn’t have any geese poo or problems when we were they. I also really appreciate the water blower they have installed to keep the water clear. We came in late summer but I’d imagine winter would be a lovely time as well. Thankyou for a great time and accommodating our early check in and later check out..these little things make such a difference for families with young kiddos!

Lovely place

We definitely had a great time staying here despite the bad weather. Place is neat and complete, most of the kitchen stuff (my group loves to cook and eat lol) that we needed were there. Also lots of things/toys to keep the kids busy. The property is quiet and beautiful. Thank you Winnie for letting us stay in your property. . We would love to come back. :)

3 life-long friends (and their families) decided they wanted to own a 2nd home as a way to escape the busy life of the city. As each family has “little cubs”, this was a great way to not only provide a 4-season outdoor experience for them, but also provide a place for all 3 families to gather together and socialize.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We recognize travelling and going on vacation with young ones can often be challenging (we know first-hand!), so our goal at the Six Little Cubs Lakehouse is to provide a children-friendly experience for you. We know that if the children are having fun, then that also allows the parents to relax and have fun as well!
Inside the lakehouse, you’ll find we offer many children-focused amenities:
- From our kitchen setup where you’ll find it stocked with kids' cutlery, cups and plate ware.
- To our children’s library/lounge area, where they can grab a book from our library and cuddle up for story time in the Teepee.
- All our washrooms offer stools and child seating and of course our main attraction, fun-themed bedrooms to make preparing for bedtime a joy.
- For outdoor activities, we offer a beautiful lakefront where families can go for a swim, or build a sandcastle on the beach.
- We have paddle boats and canoes for the families to go on an adventure and explore the lake, a well setup firepit and Muskoka chairs to relax in front of a campfire and toast some marshmallows, and let’s not forget the water-gun wall.
- Get ready for epic water gun battles, perfect for big and small!

Our little cubs definitely love staying at this cottage and we hope your little cubs do as well.
