The place was perfect for our big family - we loved the pool and the big dining table for family meals and games. Would love to stay here again next visit.

Large house with many rooms/beds to choose from helped my large party decide where to stay. All the kitchen ammenities allowed for many cooks in the kitchen! The back patio and pool was definitely the favorite hang out! As long as you dont mind the bird nests right above you, and the birds flying in and out at high speeds! Our weekend was very enjoyable! (Might update the website photos...there is not a second room with a table.) Loved the house host, she is most helpful in a moments notice!

Perfect Place for Family Time

We enjoyed our family time immensely! So nice to find an house to hold us all. Our crew loved the pool, it was such a treat for us to all gather by the pool and visit.

Second stay- highly recommend

Great second stay at The Ponderosa. Great for families or larger groups. Convenient location. Love the pool. Will be our go to rental when coming to Mason!

It was wonderful. Plenty of rooms for the fam. The massive dining room fit all of us for dinner and the passing out of Santas gifts. The pool and hot tub were perfect. Backyard has plenty room to sit and hang out with all of the family. When we had any questions the host immediately responded. I highly recommend the Ponderosa.

Family Mini Vacation

Our 3 children & their families met us there for our annual family mini vacation. The home is perfect size for our group. The pool is a great enjoyment for us all. We will be booking it again for next year.Best Regards, Deborah Latham

Amazing

We had a very peaceful weekend. There were two families that stayed together and we had plenty of room. Check in was simple, communication was great, and the house was perfect for our needs.

Real Texas Hospitality

Mona was very accommodating with special requests and attentive with our questions . There were plenty of instructions posted around the house to make our stay easy to enjoy all the amenities like pool and jacuzzi in this huge house. Thank you Cheryl

The house is large and intriguing. The largest bedroom is en suite on the top floor. Then down a half story (?) two bedrooms with a bath on one side and two more bedrooms with a bath on the other side. Plus a “chute” to the laundry room which fascinated the teens. On the main floor is the big dining room, well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and another bedroom with adjoining bath. Great for someone with knees as the two staircases have a couple of angled treads. (Rest of the family was fine, at 80 I took the main floor bedroom but did use the stairs a couple of times.)Eight of us from 18 to 80. While I would not bring young children, especially toddlers due to the pool and the stairs, it was great for us. Everyone had space when they wanted it, yet room to be all together too. Lovely pool which is Texas sun warmed but still refreshing. Everything was better than expected. So there was minimal contact with the owner which was promptly answered. Next time we come I’d like to meet Paula to learn the history of the house.
