Allegheny River was right in the backyard -closer than the pictures suggest - which was wonderful! We river-watched to our hearts' content!! Lots of blankets and chairs available. Home and grounds impeccably kept. And Franklin is a charming city.

Cozy and clean private apartment below the main house with well maintained riverfront yard, great fishing during the evening, saw the white mayfly hatch frenzy and hungry bass jumping. Thanks for being great host.

awesome place and location, right on river, right next to boat launch, kayak rental, short ride to bike trail, deck overlooks river, perfect place for us, we'll be back!

Wonderful VRBO!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The river view, sitting on the deck, beautiful fall temperatures and foliage all made for a very relaxing vacation. The home was perfectly stocked and the bed was so comfortable. Highly recommend!

Very, very pleased with all the accommodations and cleanliness. Beautiful view and access to the river. Only complaint I have was the bed was too comfortable and I didn’t wanna get out of it. All my interactions with the hosts were pleasant and respectful. Overall, very impressed and I am sure I will be a return guest.

Cozy River Retreat is right

Loved the cozy river retreat. A spot right on the river with a nice deck overlooking the Allegany. Easy access to the river for fishing or kayaking. Nice, clean, and handicapped accessible.Great place to relax and get away from it all.

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I have stayed here consecutively for the past 3 years. A beautifully appointed vacation rental. So scenic as it is situated right on the banks of the Allegheny River. You will not be disappointed!!! Book now!

We had a wonderful stay at Cozy River Retreat. The location was perfect—peaceful, scenic, and close enough to local attractions while still providing a relaxing getaway atmosphere. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay.The amenities were excellent and thoughtfully provided, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. We especially appreciated the comfortable furnishings, well-stocked kitchen, and the beautiful surroundings.The hosts were outstanding throughout our visit. They were responsive, friendly, and quick to answer any questions we had before and during our stay. Their communication made the entire experience smooth and stress-free.We highly recommend Cozy River Retreat to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing stay in a great location. Quiet little gem on the river

We had a great stay at this ADA spot right on the Allegheny River. It offered a good ramp for my husband’s wheelchair and a nice big bathroom with ADA sink and grab bars. Shower has a built in bench—all helpful. Unit was clean, communication was good, and outside deck was wonderful!

It was a very lovely place to stay when no one eles is around..can hear people walking on the ceiling at nite ...from upstairs ...not a whole lot of privacy. We didnt think ..but that was just us ..the place was super cute .the area was awesome..

Absolutely perfect for what we wanted!

We're two older adults who needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of our lives to reconnect with one another. We could not have chosen a nicer place. Beautiful small home with large rooms, fabulous kitchen furnishings, comfortable bed and right beside the Allegheny river. The weather could have been warmer and sunnier, but we don't blame our hosts for that.

Outstanding! We loved the place. Top notch everything. Stocked with quality kitchen items. Very nice view of the river. The blow dryer, shampoo and other bathroom items were very nice. Didn't have to worry with bringing that stuff. The bed was very, very comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures of the place. Hope to always stay there when we come!

New Year's Eve in Franklin

Wife and I had a wonderful time in Franklin over New Year's Eve. Town was decorated beautifully, and everyone we met was so nice.The unit we stayed in was absolutely perfect for the two of us. Very clean and well apportioned. Also appreciate that all the kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled - which made it easy to find things. If the weather had cooperated, I would have had a campfire and sat outside watching the water flow by.

River view get away

The location was nice, a little loud because of the road across the river, but that couldn’t be helped. The apartment was cozy, clean and well stocked. The only issue was noise from upstairs. The first night it was peaceful, the second night the noise started. They did quiet down around 11 pm. However, the noise started at 5:45 am - an effective alarm clock. With all that said, I would consider this location again

The evening you’re referring to noise, we had an issue with the toilet that needed repaired during the day and the cleaner was there later that evening cleaning up after the plumbers. Perfect Place for Weekend

The unit was extremely clean and thoughtfully furnished. Very comfortable bed with nice linens and well-stocked kitchen. The cabinets were labeled so it was easy to find what we needed - and easy to put something back where it belonged! The weather did not cooperate so we were unable to enjoy the deck, patio furniture, or outdoor firepit. The house is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main downtown area. All the streets have sidewalks and it was very nice walking through Franklin and looking at the variety of architecture. After a day of being out and about, it was so warm and welcoming to come back to our river retreat. Highly recommend and definitely hope to stay again!
