70th birthday surprise

I rented this property for my dad‘s 70th birthday surprise and had about 20 family members attend. The houses included were beautiful and everyone slept comfortably. It felt very spacious. They paid a lot attention to detail with decor and the game rooms. Upon arrival the hot tub’s were already running and warm. The grills were ready to use. We went when the temperature was about 45 to 50° out so we couldn’t make use of the lake but had a great time relaxing on the deck/dock. My family keeps asking me when I plan on planning the next weekend getaway. I would highly recommend!

Lovely Houses - Inconsistent Descriptions

We recently stayed here for a gathering with friends, and unfortunately had some stressful issues before visiting, mainly with being told (after asking) that we were not getting the third house and that it was never included in the first place. There were many excuses given about why it was never included (despite the description), but at the end of the day they did open it up for us after a LOT of back and forth. Please make sure you confirm with them. One of the houses had a strong sulfur smell in the basement, and the hot tub was cloudy and also smelled, and the maintenance people DID come promptly to fix it, but told us "Occasionally, lotions can react with the water's chemicals, making it cloudy." but we didn't even use it yet... and the other two were very clear. Please note, there IS someone else's property in between these three houses, we were fortunate they weren't there when we were, but you are very close to other people's houses! The photos of the docks all being together are misleading. Check in is given by email right at 4PM, so make sure you have service on your phone if you plan to arrive there at that time (I had to call for my check in info, didn't arrive my email automatically like they said it would...) The houses were very clean, very generously stocked, and had so much room! The game rooms were so fun, and the views were amazing! Just trying to share info that I really would have appreciated beforehand.

We’re sorry for the confusion regarding Shoreline Chateau. The listing does state in the description that Shoreline is closed in the off season, and during that time, the estate sleeps up to 20 guests. That said, we understand your frustration and are glad we were able to open the home for you after further conversation, along with providing a complimentary late check-out to help make your departure more relaxed. We also appreciate you noting how promptly our maintenance team responded. While cloudiness in a hot tub can occur from water chemistry balancing after a refill—even without use—we’re always happy to check and adjust when needed. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share both the highlights and helpful notes for future guests.
