Lovely guest house in quiet area

The guest house was absolutely perfect for our family of four (two adults and two teenage daughters). The location is very good, only a couple of minutes (by car) to Hollywood and Sunset boulevards with their restaurants and shops, and to the Universal Studios theme park, but still quiet and calm in a very nice residential area in the hills with stunning views over the mountains and entire LA. It was great to get back to the house in the evenings and relax with a glass of wine in the silence on the patio after visiting the busy parts of LA. We definitely recommend this house for a stay in LA!

Lovely place to stay

We found the property to be as advertised and to be really lovely. The location is excellent, it’s quiet and feels safe although you’re only a few minutes drive from Hollywood and Highland. Decor is funky and Hollywood-inspired. The two outdoor spaces are very nice. The host is very kind and friendly but not overbearing.

Great place in a great location

We wanted to be close, but not in the heart of hollywood and this place was perfect. The whole process from check in to check out went smooth. Would reccomend this place to anyone looking to be convenient, yet away from the traffic and crammed housing.

Hollywood Heaven

Fabulous location with a ton of character. We loved our stay here. Beds and even the sleeper sofa were super comfortable. Gardens and view are beautiful.

What a treat to stay in this lovely two bedroom house in the Hollywood Hills. Great host! Great setting! Stayed here for a concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. Quick Uber down the hill made for easy trips. Highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at this Hollywood Hill property. It was so easy to check in and we found the rental spotless. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had what we need to make a meal. Frances the host was friendly and helpful with some local insight to the area.

Have to say, one of the best VRBO's I've stayed in. Very clean, even smelt brand new ...no smelly deodorants to cover smells. Everything you need. Great book and dvd collection(not that we got time to use any). Plus great location. Well done Frances ! It is perfect. Would totally recommend this location !

Excellent place to stay

We were very comfortable and loved the variety of movies and books available to watch and read. It was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go, the house never felt too far out of the way. You have a view of LA and the Hollywood sign right from the driveway. Highly recommend staying here.

Heavenly Hollywood Hills

We had an absolutely wonderful time here. Frances was a fantastic host. She was prompt on replying to all our inquiries. Her property was breathtaking. Beautiful landscaping everywhere. Extremely quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. The interior was exquisite. Old Hollywood vibes but very modern and bright. So much natural light. Well appointed furnishings. She thought of everything. We will definitely be back. Thank you again Frances!!

LA Spring Break

We loved the location of the house - close to local attractions. Host was very quick to respond. House was very clean and had all appliances needed - coffee machine, blender. The view of Hollywood was amazing.

Great experience

The house and location were excellent. Our family had a great time visiting friends and attending and wedding — and this was a great home base. We especially loved the garden and sitting outside on the patio.

Comfortable accommodations in a fun location

My husband and I stayed here with our three kids. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Frances was such a great host, and easy to get a hold of when I had a question. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.

Bright & Idyllic Gem

A beautiful, quiet, calming place to stay. It is a perfect location with just about everything you could ever imagine needing, spotless house, cushy beds, fluffy towels, efficient kitchen, flooded with daylight throughout. The online description and pictures are absolutely accurate. A thousand movies on DVD if you want. A gorgeous garden where birds, bees and blue bellies (small lizards) welcome you, though Allen the hummingbird does want you to know that the flowers belong to him. The owner communicates almost instantly. Unless you absolutely cannot tolerate a couple miles of twisty roads to reach it, this is the perfect place to both be in LA and escape from it. Live like a star in the Hollywood hills!

Perfect Hollywood Hills Get-a-way

The house was a super cute bungalow in the Hollywood Hills. It had everything we needed for our short stay. We enjoyed watching movies from the huge collection and checking out the memorabilia. Frances was professional and easy to communicate with. The new flooring is beautiful. I wish we would have had been able to stay longer and will reserve again if we return to LA.

I am a European journalist covering Hollywood for over 30 years. My life and privilege have been to interview and learn from every major Hollywood talent: their dreams, ups and downs, successes and failures. Here is where I interviewed Hollywood stars from Catherine Zeta-Jones to Arnold Schwarzenegger to name a few. The property has been used for fashion shots and as a movie set. For me, Los Angeles means sunshine, diversity of people, individuality, unimaginable cuisine, and a "The sky is the limit" attitude. What I love about my property is the location: far away and yet so close to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

Varför värden valde detta boende

As soon as I came to Los Angeles, my dream was to live on Mulholland Drive which - for me - is as historic as a cathedral in a European city. MULHOLLAND DRIVE is a painting by David Hockney. The movie MULHOLLAND DRIVE by David Lynch was an international success and last but not least Tom Petty refers to “Glide down over Mulholland" in the hit song FREE FALLIN'.
