Our Airstream is steps away from our docks on Watauga Lake in historic Butler, Tennessee. The Appalachian Trail passes alongside Watauga Lake. The lake offers marinas, boat rentals, watersports, and fishing (bass and trout). Beyond lake life, visitors can explore local wineries, antique shopping, Butler Museum, Blue Hole Falls, hiking, mountain biking, and offroad atv park.

Helpful hints

Nicely situated for a weekend retreat. Airstream is nice and new. Patio/deck is nicely landscaped. Good dock and close to a public boat ramp. Small store and 2 restaurants within easy walking distance. There is no boat trailer storage on the grounds but the public ramp across the creek has a large grass field where trailers can be temporarily left along its perimeter. NOTE: Center of field MUST remain open as it serves as a helicopter landing area on a sporadic basis. You cannot access the boat ramp through the private Bayview Campground entrance. You must go about 1/4mile past the Butler Trading Post store and the campground and turn R on the 1st gravel drive

We had a fantastic stay! Super clean, beautiful view, the host was above and beyond responsive. The only 4 star review was that the Wi-Fi only worked for us outdoors. We didn’t really need it, would have like to check work emails thought We would definitely stay here again!! Beautiful space!

With family roots in East Tennessee and the TVA, Camp Watauga is an ideal location and environment for our family and yours to enjoy.

Watauga Lake is right there at your doorstep. This East Tennessee location is surrounded by Cherokee National Forest. 70% of the shoreline is protected and uninhabited making for spectacular views. You'll find an amazing Italian food restaurant and convenience store within walking distance. One mile away are more food options and general store.

This distinguished Airstream is in a secluded portion of Camp Watauga just steps from Watauga Lake. There are several seasonal guest in an upper portion of the campground that will be sharing common areas (beach, dock, grounds).

The town of Butler is quite historic. There is a town museum you could rsvp for tours and learn about the flooding of the original town and the beginning of TVA. There is fantastic boating, fishing, and food options within 15 minute drive.

Airstream trailers have historically been considered the gold standard for RV travel trailers. We believe it's true. Our Airstream trailers are sound and comfortable. This is a late model, nicely optioned Airstream. Attached to the Airstream is 12' x 20' composite deck with dining table and seating overlooking Watauga Lake. We hope you'll find our waterfront retreat the perfect base camp for trailering your boat and keeping it at our dock for fishing, skiing, and enjoying the surrounding Cherokee National Park.
