Stugan är en separat enhet, en bakgård "granny-flat" som är cirka 750 kvm. fötter . Du har två separata sovrum, ett pentry / vardagsrum plus badrum. Nya ombyggda, ser denna "nära strand" charmer ut mot en avskild trädgård och gräsmatta och massor av blommor. Eklektisk är känslan. Uppmärksamhet på "bekvämligheter för varelser" och enkelhet var avsikten när man renoverade [italienska och mexikanska brickor, trägolv ...] Ett angränsande [men helt privat] andra sovrum är generöst stort och inkluderar en dubbelsäng. Pentryet och vardagsrummet har utsikt över gräsmattan och trädgården ... INGEN RÖKNING i hus eller på grund.
Vi ser situationen som mest attraktiv för par eller par med barn och letar efter en lugn miljö inom en kort promenad till vår lilla strandstad och våra fantastiska stränder, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Encinitas och Leucadia, ett prov på södra Kalifornien levande.

Vi är belägna i en av norra San Diego County äldsta stadsdelar, Highlands of Encinitas. En 10 till 15 min. promenad så hittar du dig själv i den pittoreska kuststaden. Etnisk matsal är stort; bra italiensk, peruvain, thailändsk, indisk, japansk, etc.- Encinitas verkar vara i framkant av den "medvetna livsstilsrörelsen" så hälsosynta alternativ finns i överflöd. Whole Foods ligger i närheten. Medan stranden och havet fortfarande är de viktigaste attraktionerna, är de vackra trädgårdarna i självförverkligande stipendiet en kort promenad till staden, en resurs för avkoppling och föryngring. Vår stad är "kommande ålder" kan du säga och det är bara en kort promenad bort.

Wonderful place

What a delightful spot! Carol and Tony couldn't have been more welcoming and generous. The casita was comfortable and clean, and the little back patio was so nice. Easy access to the beach, downtown Encinitas and the freeway. Great place.

Amazing beach vacation!

Carol and Tony’s place was such an awesome base camp for our beach vacation! The Casita was so cozy and perfectly stocked with everything we needed. The backyard area was such a bonus to an already wonderful setup! Our daughters spent most of their time on the porch outside. There are two awesome beaches within a 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk. They had beach chairs, toys, and surfboards for us to take to the beach each day! Encinitas is such a gem and we will definitely be back! Carol and Tony were amazing hosts and treated us like family from the moment we got there.

Sweet cottage

This is a cute cottage that has 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen-no oven but a toaster oven, microwave and hot plate. One of the bedrooms has a small sitting area with a TV screen. The garden was really beautiful with lots of seating areas.The hosts were very helpful and generous. Thanks so much! We had a great time!

Chill Weekend In Encinitas

We spent 4 nights at Tony and Carol's pristine casita. Two queen beds, well stocked kitchenette. About two miles from downtown. The accommodations were great for three adults. It is not a large space but has great back yard area. Tony and Carol live in main house right next door. They were accessible but completely respected our privacy. We will definitely rent it again on our next visit.

Wonderful, Chill Oasis

Carol and Tony's place was clean, comfortable, authentic, and low-key. It was a perfect basecamp for adventures. A great place for some peace and quiet

It’s perfect for two people. We spent a lot of time hanging out on the patio enjoying Carol and Tony’s wonderful backyard. Very comfortable stay, all within walking distance of the town and local beaches. Food in town was great, everything you’d expect in a SoCal beach community. Our hosts were pleasant and attentive.

Carol & Tony's Place

Carol's property was perfect for us! It was a great location, within walking distance to the 101 in Encinitas, and Leucadia Blvd, where we had family. The backyard was quaint and had a water feature which made spending time there very enjoyable. Carol & Tony were very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable.

Comfortable, quiet and great location!

We had a really great time staying for a week at Tony and Carol’s. The casita was very comfortable, the backyard was peaceful and quiet, and in a great location walkable to the main strip of restaurants and stores and most importantly the beach! It’s also easily drivable to kids activities in and around San Diego (and Encinitas has some great playgrounds). Tony and Carol were easy to communicate with and we appreciated being able to utilize beach toys, boogie boards and beach chairs during our stay. We would absolutely return!

Excellent spot in a nice location

Nice, clean, easy-to-access location with very friendly and helpful property owners. I stayed with my wife, our 5-month-old, and my mom and it worked out well for us. Carol provided a porta-crib which worked great, really nice outdoor space.

Lovely Cycling Sojourn in Encinitas

This was a perfect casita for two for our short cycling holiday in Encinitas. Carol and Tony were lovely hosts. It's exactly as advertised, and even though it's close to the highway it is super quiet. We slept like logs after long days of cycling! It's about a 12 minute walk to Swami Beach. Only downside for us road bikers was the evil hill at the end of each day to get back to the property. :-) But probably good for the cycling muscles! The delicious pound of french roast coffee that was left for us was an added bonus.

Tony and Caroline were great hosts. We had full use of the back patio and yard while we were there. Easy 15 minute walk down to swamis beach and into town. Lots of great restaurants and surfer watching. The little Kaseeta in their backyard was comfortable, just a touch on the small side but it was great for my son and I.

Comfy California Chill

Tony and Carol are the best. The property itself is comfortable, clean, well cared for. The backyard is an oasis. Make this your home base for any San Diego area trips. I hope we can return soon. The Best!

We had such a lovely time at Tony and Carol's property. It had everything we needed, and Tony and Carol were such wonderful hosts. We walked to Swami's Beach for the sunset and enjoyed restaurants nearby. The garden area was a peaceful place to start and end the day. Everything we wanted to do was just a short drive away. Your hosts Carol and Tony Hyde have resided in the local community since the early seventies. Carol, a nurse and psychotherapist, is an avid ocean kayaker and hiking enthusiast. Tony has worked in the surfing industry and in property development, but his passion and main focus is riding waves. He is happy to share his local knowledge with those who ask, as is Carol.

We both were drawn to Encinitas for the same reason- its' laid back Southern California charm. Through the years we have enjoyed sharing the many attributes of our location with our friends and family and have recently decided we would like to expand that pool to include guests through VRBO.

Primarily we offer a quiet space for our guests that is within comfortable walking distance from the beach and town. (about a 15 minute walk!).We enjoy maintaining our cottages' gardenlike setting and look forward to offering a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere to those who are drawn to come. For the more adventuresome, the local surfshops provide rentals and equipment to indulge your passion. Surf Camps and Surf Lessons are offered close to Moonlight Beach, right down the way. The sidewalks don't close up at 8:00 pm anymore, Encinitas has it's share of nightlife, music and drinking establishments that 'pepper' the Coast Highway.
