This was amazing, I came to visit my bf, so we just stayed in this little home. Amy is so nice, she made sure if we needed anything. The inside is exactly how it looks in the pictures, the neighborhood is quiet. Definitely will come again!!

This is a great place to stay for a little getaway! Amy is a great host and the place was very clean and tidy when I arrived. It’s so close to so many great nature spots along with being close to Redding for any needed supplies. Definitely would rent again if I’m in the area!

The Peaceful Cottage was very comfortable, extremely clean, and well appointed. After driving on the I-5 all day, it was a cool respite in the heat on my journey. I really liked the little yard for my dog. I only stayed one night but it is close to Redding and Shasta lake dam which was pretty to see in the evening. There are a few restaurants in Shasta Lake town but many more options in nearby Redding. Overall, it was a very nice night's stay.

What can I say, Upon arrival we met Amy the host. She’s very friendly and hospitable. This little cottage was more than I expected. She had this well planned out. This cottage has everything needed and more to enjoy your stay. It’s very clean, smells good and the bed was very comfortable along with the nice sheets! Let’s not forget the amazing shower too. We definitely will be back.

Great place to stop with dogs between Bay Area and Oregon

We loved that we were able to stay with our 2 dogs who ran and played around the front yard when we arrived and prior to leaving in the morning Since we have one very anxious rescue dog finding places to stay can be challenging. This place was perfect as it was calm and quiet. Many nice details, extra water, coffee, tea, snacks. Even two dog bowls and a ball for our dogsComfortable bed and great shower. Kitchen had all we needed and pizza near by made for easy dinner

Peaceful cottage

Everything was lovely. Check in was easy, host was gracious, It's a peaceful place to rest after driving on the busy I-5. I would definitely try to stop there again on my next trip in that area. And there's a quiet outdoor patio too!

Great place! The location was perfect, not in town but a short drive to town and a short drive in the other direction to some great outdoors spots. Place had everything I needed, was comfortable and private. I would stay there again!

Charming and immaculate! We arrived late in the evening after a long drive, and walked in to a fresh and lovely scent, perfect temperature, spotless with wonderful amenities, (inc. water, chocolates, & games) and very comfortable bed. The outdoor seating area looked inviting, but we arrived too late and had to leave early the next morning. Our host was very responsive via text. I wish we had time to stay longer! I strongly recommend this delightful cottage located a mile away from beautiful Shasta Lake.

All you need

We spent the Memorial Day weekend in this location. We wanted to spend time in the water, off roading, and to explore the area (Weed and more). This location was perfect. The host was very good at communicating and her cottage was absolutely wonderful. Very private location, super quiet, very calming. Would highly recommend this location if you visit Lake Shasta or the surrounding areas.

A Peaceful Retreat

This cottage is absolutely adorable. It is stocked with a microwave, refrigerator, hot plate, toaster oven, and Keurig. There are wonderful touches like coffee pods, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, and Q-tips in the bathroom. Nightstands were complete with water and York peppermint patties. This place feels homey and the bed is very comfortable. Amy has created a peaceful and relaxing retreat. My husband, dog, and I enjoyed staying here while exploring the area.

Quaint little clean cottage!

Worked perfectly for our weekend at the lake. Close to coffee shop, pizza place and easy access to old town Redding. Super clean, comfortable bed and all that we needed for our stay. Thank you!

Lovely place. The hostess was wonderful. The owners can’t be held accountable for the condition of some of the homes in the neighborhood but I was, initially, a little trepidatious. Overall, our stay was great.
