Good villa as a base
The property is centrally located in the island making it a good base to get to all areas in around 45 minutes maximum. A car is most definitely necessary. There is a local tapas bar next to the mini supermarket but the opening times are very erratic. As this is a Spanish village and not a tourist resort most of the nearest restaurants close at 5pm during the week only staying open later at weekends. There is a good grill restaurant in Tinguaton which is just within walking distance - other restaurants are in La Santa. The main living room of the villa is quite dark and some brighter bulbs would help - in fact several bulbs in other rooms of the villa were out and should be replaced. I have actually never been to a Villa before where there was no information about the island, locality or the villa available and this should be rectified. It would also have been useful to have had the ability to purchase a 'welcome' package.
The front of the villa is where the pool is located and it is not the prettiest - overlooking an old caravan and with dogs nearby barking non stop during the day. The parking area is shared with the neighbouring villa and you either have to reverse in or out.
Overall the villa is comfortable and a good base for exploring a lovely and interesting island.
