Needs Updating Desperately

Surface level it was clean and smelled nice. Carpet looks ancient and needs to be updated. There is an immense amount of black mold in the downstairs bathroom. It has a horrible odor and is a health hazard. There is clearly a leak in that ceiling that seems to be continually overlooked. The guest bath upstairs has a gaping hole in the ceiling and is missing an exhaust fan. The bathtub drains at a snail pace and backs up when showering. There was an inch of dust and debris and lost toys under the couch that we had to sweep up. Crumbs in all the cabinets and utensil drawers. The kitchen is lacking in usable and updated cookware. There wss ZERO organization to it and finding lids to anything was a scavenger hunt and more often than not resulted in not finding what was needed. Coffee pots were gross, all pots and pans are teflon that is incredibly scratched up. The pantry is disgusting. All cabinets were full of left food from prior vacationers. There should be space left for incoming people to put their stuff. The front door has no way of locking from the inside. The property manager, while seemingly nice, showed up TWICE unannounced during our stay which was very uncomfortable and felt intrusive. Nice location and close to town and all conveniences but we would not choose to stay here again unless these major issues were taken care of. The mold is a really huge issue and absolutely needs to be addressed. It's not a quick fix, it needs to be gutted and fixed.

Great location

The location is great for snowmobiling with pets. We were comfortable with room to roam. Walking distance to a sledding park and shopping. Great host.

Large home great location

Our family of 9 enjoyed a late October fishing trip at Yellowstone. Was a great place to gather together. Lots of bedrooms and beds. We will be back for another fishing trip.

Plenty of room with a good host

We had plenty of room for our family. The entrance area was nice with a big bench to take our shoes off and hang our coats. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils, spices and staples. It was nice to have two refrigerators. We had plenty of bath towels and shampoo, soap etc. we enjoyed using the back patio area. Bill was very quick to attend to items that we needed. The house does need a little TLC and the fence needs to be fixed but we still had an enjoyable stay.

Great location to see Yellowstone

The house is conveniently located with easy walking into town and to ATV trail. It is large with sleeping for many people. On the negative side, it is old and a bit rundown.

Great location.

Great location with lots of space for our entire extended family. Easy walk to downtown and just minutes from west entrance gate to Yellowstone. Property is dated and could use some updating and overall maintenance. Did not affect our stay negatively but worth noting if this is important to you.

Great location

Great location, allowing you to walk to most places in town. The house handled our group of 14 people very well. Be advised there is no air conditioning. Bedrooms had fans and were comfortable at night. Living area was warm.

Great location!

We had a group of 9 aged 18 - 78. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house is walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. It’s very easy to get into the park from here. Really nice place to stay.

Great stay

The property has easy access to everything in West Yellowstone and minutes away from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park. It was clean and comfortable. There was more than ample bedding for our large crew. We had breakfast every morning at the large dinning room table, which was nice. The location is on the edge of town which made for quiet sleep time. We would stay there again if we had a large crew.

Big cabin great for large groups

The cabin was great for a large group, with good parking in a quiet area and the heat worked well (important as it was cold outside). The downside is many things are old. We had to unplug the downstairs toilet (faster than calling to report the issue) and the ensuite bathroom sink doesn't drain well. There are other cosmetic issues, but we still had a great time and the other important stuff was good.

Wonderful family time

We had 12 folks ranging in age from 5 months to 66. Everything we needed was on property. Location is great. Bottom line is the house worked perfectly for us, making for an absolutely wonderful vacation. We will be back!

Family Getaway

We were a group of 10 people who stayed in West Yellowstone for 5 nights. Our ages ranged from 84-48. We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is older and could use some updating with the downstairs couch and carpet but everything was clean. The bathroom towels could also be replaced soon as they are very thin. The house is spread out so you can sleep comfortably with plenty of beds and rooms. 10 of us slept in this house and there were still empty rooms and beds that we could have used if we had more people. There is also plenty of dining room seating for a large group. There are two dining room tables close to each other with seating for 14 or more. There are two bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms upstairs and four bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs. There is also another area with 3 beds on the other side of the house. Each room had its own thermostats so everyone slept at their own temperature comfort level. The washer and dryer is located next to the downstairs bathroom. The kitchen had everything you need to cook your meals plus two refrigerators. The location is perfect as you can easily walk to the stores and shops. We would definitely stay here again. It was great for our family getaway.

Awesome location, Lots of room for big group

We had a group of 13 and there was plenty of room for us. We didn’t cook any meals but they had everything needed if we wanted to cook or grill. Having two refrigerators was great, we had lots of leftovers from the many nearby restaurants which were within walking distance from the house. Having the garage to put our motorcycles in was a major bonus. Bathroom schedules with that many folks and three bathrooms wasn’t as challenging as I thought it would be either. I honestly can’t think of anything negative about our stay in this house. Definitely would book it again if we ever return to the area.

Great location to town and YNP entrance.

House was clean, beds were comfortable, furniture was very worn, and back fence was damaged, so we could not exercise our dog in the backyard which was very disappointing. The house served its purpose though: to have a place extended family could all be together and have a common base to explore the area.

Friends trip

Very nice property within blocks of Yellowstone's West Gate. Plenty of bedrooms with a large dining table great for meals, games and spreading out maps to plan the next day's adventure. The extra fridge comes in handy for larger groups.
