Absolutely amazing!

This villa is in the most perfect location on the beach with outstanding views in all directions! Everything was wonderful inside, comfortable furniture and it was kept very clean. The beds were really comfortable with lovely bedding. There was a plentiful supply of good quality towels for the bathrooms and outside use. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with just about every utensil you could think of and masses of crockery, cutlery and glasses. There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry room next to the pool (the washing machine wasn’t mentioned in the listing!). The outside area is incredibly spacious with terraces on 2 levels, 2 under cover seating areas and at least 6 sun loungers and a bbq. There is a relatively new beach bar/restaurant just a few steps along the beach and Il Tempio restaurant which serves excellent Italian food 10 minutes walk away. There is Jordans supermarket within walking distance although we usually drove to Hometown to the bigger Massy store. Our host Paul was excellent at communication, the check in process was very straightforward and he kept in touch before, during and after our stay to make sure we were happy with everything. We absolutely loved it and hope to be able to stay there again in the future.

Great location on the beach

The location is great, a few steps onto the beach with the "little reef" of the title providing in water entertainment just a few feet off shore. The villa is not "Sandy Lane chic" the interior is a little dated in décor but it actually very well equipped and provides everything you need for your stay. There are things which are not shown in the information, a very good washing machine and dryer plus hairdryer. There are loads of towels including for the beach/sun loungers. The outside space is good, a coupe of minor things could have been better, one sun lounger is broken and there is no outside dining table. The one provided under the gazebo is too low to eat at comfortably which means there is no incentive to use the high quality barbeque provided. The owner rang to check all was OK and was accessible when we needed to contact them. Cleaning and pool maintenance was first rate. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance and a very good brief set of suggestions included in the Villa information left for us. The back of the property is on the min road which means you do get some traffic noise but this is minor and never caused any real problem and really isn't an issue at all while sitting outside on the beachfront. Some means of closing and latching the gate which leads to the beach when you are out on the beach would help the feeling of security. Also we didn't realise there is a second set of house keys available in the key safe until we we leaving! It would have been helpful to have these. Overall a really good base for us to explore Barbados and a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay.
