Del Mar Cottage är den charmiga 1920-talets luftkonditionerade stugan vid havet du har drömt om. Karaktären på denna stuga, från traditionella arkitektoniska detaljer som kristalldörrknoppar och elegant kronformning med vackra lättöppna fönster för att låta den svala havbrisen in, gör detta till ett sätt att "måste stanna".

Trädgården:
Koppla av på trädgårdens veranda swing medan du läser och dricker din favorit citronid. Senare kan du njuta av några stargazing från ditt lyxiga utomhus spa medan du planerar nästa dags färjetur, antik eller golfspel.

Bara 15 minuter norr om Gig-hamnen ligger Del Mar Cottage lilla kvarter i South Colby, inbäddat mellan Port Orchard, bara 5 minuter till väst, eller Southworth-färjan till Seattle, bara 4 minuter öster. Denna charmiga stuga verkar ha vaktat bukten i många, många decennier. Gör Del Mar Cottage till en del av din nästa bortgång. Du vill komma tillbaka varje år!

Promenader och hundälskare: Det finns flera underbara promenader att ta din hund med på ett äventyr. Förresten, huset tillåter högst två hundar, och varje hund är en separat husdjur avgift. Del Mar Cottage är ett hus bakifrån från stranden, men det finns en lugn, enfasad fasadväg som ligger direkt på stranden, perfekt för promenader och visa allt som stranden har att erbjuda. Fasadvägen (SE Cornell) ligger strax väster om Del Mar Cottage gate.

Sedan ligger bara 1/8 mil öster om stugan Harper Pier med utsikt över Puget Sound. Fortsätt din promenad ytterligare en åtta mil till parken precis förbi SE Scatterwood Lane; perfekt för att låta hunden springa i det inhägnade lilla basbollområdet.

Mittemot parken är en naturlig båt och kajak lansering, perfekt för att låta hunden leka i vattnet!

Peaceful neighborhood

I liked the location, view, hot tub, AC, and gardens. The 100-year-old cottage is quaint and quirky. Unfortunately, the outdoor surfaces (chairs, tables) were filthy. We couldn't use them. The photos online didn't show the lack of upkeep outside. The linens were cleaned in the strongest perfumed laundry detergent. We were very allergic and had to go get our own bedding and towels. The king mattress was very comfortable but the wood bed frame was dangerous for knees and legs, getting in and out or walking around it.After we brought over our own chairs we enjoyed being outside. Getting to the frontage road on foot via the highway is hazardous. The property manager was kind, responsive, and helpful. Overall, I'd give the house 3.5 - 4 stars for lack of cleanliness outside and the strong laundry soap.

Cozy cottage

We had everything we needed for a long holiday weekend. The host was friendly and responded quickly. We enjoyed being able to quickly walk down to the water, and seeing deer in the yard next to the house. The hot tub was gorgeous on our chilly, cloudy nights!

Wedding weekend staycation

I stayed here for the weekend of my wedding, as it was right down the road from the venue. It was more than I expected. Extremely clean and cozy, the hot tub was kept at the perfect temp, jazz playing when I checked in. I think the checkout list is a little excessive, but I would absolutely stay here again.

The cottage is equipped with everything you need. It is 8 minutes from the ferry. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. We would happily rent it again.

Lovely and peaceful location. Kitchen has everything for cooking and Baking. You could do a family Christmas or Thanksgiving and have every cooking tool you would need. Even an amazing 7 quart Kitchenaid Mixer!!! 😎

Visit with grands

A charming well-appointed cottage. The hot tub was a added bonus. Our only complaint is the shortage of wash clothes -- only found two for a 4-day stay.

Great stay for Thanksgiving

When we arrived, we opened the door and there was wonderful jazz music playing, heat was on and there was a bottle of wine with glasses all ready to go! It was so inviting. The house was charming and very well equipped (even all of the necessary kitchen tools to fix a Thanksgiving meal)! Everything was there for us and we had a very relaxing time. The jacuzzi was fantastic! What an added plus!

Cosie home with easy walk to water

My wife and I enjoyed this charming home with all its features. We had a good partial view of the water from the back porch in March. The five minute walk to the shore is well worth it. We were able to walk along a private road and explore the beach.

As advertised, an indirect view of the Puget Sound, a quiet neighborhood, and a comfortable house with a hot tub out back. 14 of my days there were great, 1 not so great. All in all, a very good experience.

Charming Cottage

This property is a charming 1920's cottage, nicely furnished, and well stocked, however the Steinway piano in the living room really put a cramp on the space for us.

Cozy Cottage Charm

This cottage was just what we needed--even cuter than the pictures and so charming. We arrived to music playing and a bottle of wine and delighted in the mix of modern and vintage furniture (especially the piano!). The hot tub, garden, deck, and yard were all lovely and felt like a classic English country garden. Although it was rainy some of the time, we still enjoyed sitting out and watching the sunset. We were also visited by some deer grazing in the open meadow next door. Our dog had a blast, too. We slept wonderfully and loved relaxing in the sun room bedroom to the front. It was also fun taking walks along the waterfront and it took no more than 15 minutes to drive anywhere else we wanted to explore in Port Orchard or Manchester State Park. The cottage was perfect for our birthday weekend of reading, writing, and relaxing, and we hope to be back!
