The House at Hope Lane is a magical oasis with gorgeous gardens and a private pool right in the heart of Dennis Village yet somehow just off the beaten path. This family compound has all the amenities you need for a restorative and fun filled family retreat-style vacation. You can walk to local restaurants, the Cape cinema, a local market, the Cape Playhouse; the oldest summer stock theater in America, the Cape Cod Art museum, plus lots of quaint shopping. And not to be missed are the world famous Dennis beaches very near by. This family compound is deal for your extended family.
The main house has 4 1/2 bedrooms while a detached 3 bedroom cottage offers plenty of space for additional guests to sleep. The detached upstairs garage apartment is generally not included in the rental and may come with a live-in, onsite caretaker for your convenience and comfort. Do ask in advance for this extra space if your family needs it, arrangements may be made. In addition to you and your guests, the House at Hope Lane has 3 resident inside/ outside cats who call this magical oasis home too. Arrangements for their care and feeding is requested when possible and supplemented when necessary.
If you love to nest at home or stay in and cook, then you are going to love the gourmet kitchen in the main house. It was designed and built for and by a gourmet chef and is fully loaded with everything necessary to provide beautiful meals. The cottage has a full kitchen too, just not as fun to cook in! There are both gas and charcoal grills and plenty of outside seating for dining al fresco. This is a place where magical memories are created.
The pool outside is tranquil, relaxing and beautiful. The surrounding grounds are fully landscaped and planted. There are porches and patios with ample seating where you'll find yourself enjoying lively and long overdue conversations with friends and family. There are shade trees and sun spots for where everyone can find their slice of heaven. For those in your family most active, the downstairs of the main house as a full work out room and ping pong table.

Sally is a citizen activist, earth conservator, visionary, human potential coach and leader, philanthropist, teacher and mother along side of being an experienced home owner.
Sally has devoted her life to helping others reach their highest potential. Whether working as an elementary school teacher, school board chair or serving as a leadership coach to social entrepreneurs, Sally brings a wealth of compassion and life experience to every task she takes on. A native Cape Codder, Sallyâs personal and professional trajectories have spanned the fields of education, organizational development, personal recovery, professional culinary arts, environmental activism, wellness coaching and leadership. Her most recent endeavor is addressing housing development in Dennis Village.
A graduate of Barnard College â85, Sally went on to study cooking at the French Culinary Institute, where she graduated with distinction. She worked for Ina Garten, "the Barefoot Contessa", at her East Hampton eatery as well as participating in the startup of Nick and Toniâs; both pioneers in the farm to table movement. Sally later went on to own and operate her own gourmet take out shop in Chatham.
Working to support and empower so many nonprofit leaders over the years kindled Sallyâs interest in formal study of human potential. She has trained extensively and is a certified life, leadership and human potential coach. She trained with the renowned organizations CTI and Bulletproof becoming ICF certified. Sallyâs deep-seated belief that the health of the environment hinges on the health of the activist has led to her private practice near her home on Cape Cod.
When Sally is not out helping make the world the best it can be, she is ensconced in the home she designed for herself and her daughter, surrounded by family and friends, her many art projects and her two Siamese cats, Violet and Lulu and all the other wildlife that call Hope Lane home.

As a citizen activist, leader and guide, I need a place to regroup, recharge, and find peace and calmness before I venture back out to the busy world 'out there'. My home can offer you much in the way of just that kind of restoration and relaxation your whole family craves. There is plenty of space inside and out to gather for conversations or time alone in all the many magical spaces waiting here for you. And don't we all need more of that?!! While there is plenty of digital access to tv and internet etc., that's also been designed not to be overwhelming in every space. You can really unplug here and connect to the magic of the house, yard and greater environment all around the village and the Cape should you choose to.
