Very comfortable home with the best views

We had the best stay in this wonderful property. This was a vacation with family, including a 3 year old and a 9 month old and the house was perfect. Brad was really helpful answering any questions.

A wonderful month away in Maine

My husband and I rented this house after catching Covid when traveling in Europe in 2021. We wanted to stay off of airplanes and out of airports and be able to drive to wherever we wanted to go. We also wanted to escape the heat of New York City. This was the perfect getaway. Although the house is a little more worn than the pictures show, it is comfortable and absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the sunset every night from the back porch and seldom left the property. We would rent here again without hesitation.

What a view!

We opened the front door after a long drive from Miami to a spectacular view across the water to the Portland Head light. This is Maine. The house is quite comfortable but could use a bit of re-stocking of bedding, glassware and such. Furniture needs a refresh with some cleaning. The terraces are wonderful and the sound of the ocean from most every room makes this a soothing vacation stay.

Awesome view; well appointed home.

Great location and waterfront view that’s hard to tear your eyes away from. Changing views at different times of day, and lots of waterfowl to watch. Everything you need is supplied in the spacious house. Minor repair needs were addressed promptly. Would recommend!

Location location location

The views are just beautiful from sunrise to sunset. House location was great. Near to Portland and also nice hiking trails. Also took day trips to Boston and further up coast. A plus would be couch that opens to bed for guests. Kitchen is well stocked and house is overall comfortable for relaxing as well as entertaining.

Terrific property with gorgeous view

We rented this property for Christmas week, planning to host family and friends. The house, location and view are all terrific. The kitchen is extremely well provisioned, allowing us to host 17 for dinner without having to buy or borrow any extra pots, pans or utensils. We had a few mechanical/technical difficulties at the house, but the owner was super responsive and set everything straight very quickly. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding home and location

On a private point jutting into a quiet ocean cove, this home and location is simply perfect. We could have sat all week on the decks watching ducks and seagulls. The only improvement we could suggest would be an upgrade from basic cable channels. Very well appointed, totally comfortable, a dream vacation for us. Highly recommended.

Magnificent Vacation Home!

I am writing, on our last day in this , well kept, glorious, beautifully decorated, clean, home away from home. You will feel at home from the time you arrive. The awesome view from every window is breath-taking as you enter the front door! The pictures on this website nor the ones you take yourself, can ever capture the magnificent churning, crashing waves against the rugged coastline at high tide. Brad was MOST accommodating and so generously hospitable. Making this a one of the best ever rental homes and Brad one of the most helpful/pleasant people to work with! You cannot go wrong with this VRBO listing!! Thanks Brad!!

Seaside serenity

Well presented on this rental site. No need to go into Portland, with Kate's butter, above the dam jam (blueberry), and great English muffins from C-salt serving as our daily breakfast and more than enough hardware to cook. Sit at this dinner table, and be amazed at the view. Still too much of a tourist to have avoided LL Bean and Boothbay and Kennebunk, but oh well, next time we'll just be able to sit here and watch the bay. I suppose master bedroom is downstairs, but we picked upper bedroom with nice deck and opened the sliding doors to hear the surf and smell the air. Abandoned by our family who should have filled the house, we did go into Portland for dinner, at Fore Street, but found the Black Point Inn equally creditable, and enjoyed the anti-lobster (turkey!) at the Good Table. As we left foliage was near peak, though still green in Boston. All of Boston was heading North to leaf peep. Dirt road and woods makes it seem so much more secluded than it is in reality, and we loved that part of the approach. Say hello to Izzy, a puppy nearby.

Perfect holiday house in Cape Elizabeth

We (2 adults, two kids) spent a great week here, blessed by wonderful summer weather. The house is very clean and well appointed and everything works well. The 180+ degree views are fabulous and it is particularly exciting electric storm watching. The bedrooms are very comfortable - there is nothing better than drifting off to sleep with the sound of the waves. Peabbles Point is a pleasant little community of (it would seem) both permanent and summer vacation residents; the relatively close proximity of other houses in no way impacted on our peace and quiet. Cape Elizabeth is a lovely corner of the world - some good beaches, great ice cream at Kettle Cove, excellent deli sandwiches at Sea Salt back on Route 77, a couple of top class bakeries in South Portland and easy access to the amenities of Portland itself. We definitely hope to come back in the next few years.

Fantastic Views

Cottage was just as shown in pictures...lovely. Views are fantastic and ever changing. A great location. Convenient to all...numerous lighthouses, tourist sights, downtown Portland and the airport. Lots of good restaurants nearby: Rudy's(Cape Elizabeth), Saltwater Grille(South Portland), and DiMillo's(Portland). Well stocked kitchen. My husband and I had a great week. Would return again.

Loved it!

Everything said in other reviews are well stated and spot on, so I will just say it is a great place to spend your vacation. This is a wonderful spot and the house is so well appointed that my wife wants to take it home with us, and she is design freak. We very comfortable and enjoyed the ambience. It was supplied with all the goodies you may need, so check it out before you load up on all of your groceries, etc, Beach access is the only drawback and there would be limited space for kids to roam and play around the cottage. Not a problem for the two of us and we got our excercise traveling to the many higliights and hiking in some. Highly recommended and would look forward to another stay.

An absolute gem!

The house is even more beautiful than the listing pictures suggest with lots of beautiful decor and all the possible amenities provided (lots of beach towels, a huge washer and dryer and all sorts of cooking and serving utensils to use in the kitchen.) The view is unsurpassable and the location is as peaceful as it gets. The fireplaces weren't working for our stay but we didn't want or need them. My family of four (with 2 children under the age of 7) enjoyed the most amazing week-long vacation there. We look forward to coming back.

Spectacular Retreat

We arrived with two small children ahead of two huge winter storms. There was no better place on Earth to sit and watch the winter weather. My children were mesmerized and so was I. The radiant heat floors and fireplace kept us cozy. The views kept us entertained! The design of the house is extremely well thought through. Every amenity well appointed. The owners were a delight to work with. I've traveled all over the world and this is one of my favorite spots. We stayed for two months - not nearly long enough. Heaven is in Maine at Brad's house.

Beautiful House

This house is gorgeous and the views are even more amazing!!! We had a great time sitting on the deck and taking in the scenery while the kids played on the beach and looked for shells and little sea creatures. We drove to downtown Portland to the Harbor Fish House and cooked fresh seafood for dinner every night. The house is stocked with everything you would need for a great vacation. We will definitely return. Peace Family

Clean, elegant house with lovely views

This is a beautiful home. The owner is friendly and attentive; views are superb; property is very well maintained; house has lots of little amenities. Close to water/small beach and a short drive to bigger beaches. Lots of restaurants nearby; lots of seagulls, etc.! Very close to other cottages, but still very quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.
