Roomy, Updated Condo

My husband, myself and our cat Sophie rented Donna's condo for 6 months, November through April 2024. The 3 bedrooms gave us plenty of rooms to spread out. We were a 5 minutes' drive to the beach. When it was too cold for the beach we hiked the beach paths, shopped at the great thrift stores, and most of all spent much time at the senior center. We were involved in fun exercise classes, singing, games, lunches, and most of all, making wonderful friendships. Morehead City is a small town where you get to know people wherever you go. An excellent vacation condo for this snowbird family!

All about balance!

Sure there are places that are closer to the beach, or closer to Beaufort, or wherever else. But, staying closer to any one place, means you're a lot farther from the other. This place is 10 minutes from darn near everything. Think balance people. So, let's keep talking. The other thing to think about when making a balanced choice is the importance of food for the condo and restaurants. You cannot do better than this place. 5 minutes to Lowe's Grocery Store (mid to upscale grocery with nice ready to eat section as well as the staples). 5 minutes to Friendly Market (mid to upscale ready to eat / takeaway place with wine, cheese, and other bougie delights (try the pot pie)). 7 minutes to Floyds. 7 minutes to Full Circle Cafe and all the other restaurants in downtown Morehead City. What about stuff for the beach? 10 minutes to Walmart. 5 minutes to True Value. Feeling sick? 5 minutes to a regular CVS (and 2 min to a smaller format pharmacy version (personally, I've never seen one of these before)). This is also the balanced budget choice. Sure there might be nicer places, but they're gonna cost you 3X as much. This place is clean and neat. Might be a little wear here and there, but nothing to call home about. Beds are comfy, and so is the sofa. Kitchen has all the gear you need and has a great view of the TV when you're doing food prep. Worried about the neighbors? Don't. I stayed here a month. This place is quiet. Upstairs people don't walk loudly. If the music or TV is loud, it is never at night when one is trying to sleep. The folks here respect each other and the property. Donna (the owner) is friendly and responsive should you need anything. So, choose balance. You'll be happy you did. Chris

Semi retired educator with a primary home in Raleigh, our state capital and a happy place in small town all American Morehead City. I have the best of both worlds with children and grandchildren in both areas. Each location has much to offer but Morehead City is my retreat. I think you will like it too!

Varför värden valde detta boende

This home is spacious, modern, affordable and safe. It’s located two blocks from Carteret Hospital, 3 miles from the Atlantic Ocean, 5 miles to historic Beaufort and several blocks from a wonderful senior center. It’s newly renovated with quartz counter tops , new easy to clean flooring and it has a charming pond outside my patio where I can spot water birds or geese as I relax in the morning for coffee or the evening for wine. The temperature is such that I can get out and about all winter long . The ocean provides moderate summer temperatures as well.

It’s a first floor, corner unit with lots of sunlight and privacy. I can see no other condo as I enjoy the privacy of my patio,
It’s ideal for snowbirds or the career person transitioning to the area who needs a cozy, safe home for your family while you look for your permanent home or apartment. It’s very close to the local primary and elementary school . The schools here are excellent. I love this home and I think you will too!
