Family vacation

The property is in a secluded, peaceful neighborhood with wildlife and plenty of amazing mountain views. There was plenty of space, inside and out to explore and enjoy. The house was fully stocked with anything we could possibly need and there were kayaks available for the lake.

Wonderful place to stay!

Our family rented Kalli's house for a week. It was a wonderful place to stay. Many amenities provided. Great location for trips to Glacier Park. Lots of fun and interesting things to do on the property and also nearby attractions.

Fantastic property

This is a truly amazing property. It is a gorgeous spot with beautiful lakes, forest, hiking trails and nearby access to amazing outdoor experiences in glacier national Park, Flathead Lake, town of Bigfork. But the house itself is probably the best VRBO I have ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at a lot. They have literally thought of everything you might possibly need or want. It’s beautifully cared for, clearly by owners who love it. They give lots of great advice about things to do in the area. Perfect for a family get together. We would love to come and stay again!

Idyllic Retreat

Our family of twelve thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at this beautiful home. It is a stunning and peaceful property, with much to do for all ages. The older kids enjoyed the lake and canoes, pool table and fire pit, to name a few things. The younger ones enjoyed the abundance of toys, books, and games. The adults loved it all, including the gorgeous views. Kalli has gone out of her way to make her guests feel welcome and extremely comfortable. We would definitely consider renting again, and would highly recommend this wonderful property to others. Thank you, Kalli , for a fantastic week at Mystic Mountain!

Family Vacation of a Lifetime

Mystic Mountain was everything we could hope for in a vacation home. Large, spacious main living area for visiting before, after and during meals or for games and conversation. Plenty of bedrooms for all 9 of us (grandparents, 2 daughters families including 3 grandkids) with more to spare for naps, quiet play, etc. The huge deck was great for meals, play or relaxing with a book.Activities? Swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, horseshoes, darts, ping-pong, pool all without leaving the property. The kids did some rock painting! ;-DThe beauty of property is almost beyond description, photos don't do it justice and the location was ideal for our trips to Glacier, Flathead Lake, etc. The whole experience made us so grateful for such a place to gather and stay worry free. Kalli is responsive and gracious, a pleasure to interact with. We're already planning for our return.

47th annual girls trip

Six women had a fantastic time at mystic mountain. We each had a room and a full equipped kitchen to make meals. Each morning we hiked the property. The wild turkeys did a beautiful dating dance for us. We all said we would come back. Thanks Kallie.

Family Vacation

If you’re looking for the perfect spot for your next family vacation, you have found it. Mystic Mountain is situated on a gorgeous property in Bigfork, with a spectacular view of a lake and the mountains. My husband and I and our three adult children with their significant others met here for a week of reunion and relaxation. The house is appointed with everything you could need and more. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and spacious, as well as beautifully decorated, each with their own theme. The kitchen/great room area was wonderful for cooking and eating meals, as well as relaxing with games, puzzles, and enjoying the amazing view. Kalli is a great host, answering questions with our booking, as well as providing tons of information about the property and area. We visited Glacier National Park several times, but also thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house: fishing, sitting on the dock, painting rocks on the deck, boating in the lake, toasting marshmallows over the firepit, playing horseshoes, table tennis, pool, darts, and just walking around the trails on the property and enjoying the quiet. This vacation was everything we hoped it would be and more. Thank you Kalli!

Mystic Mountain Magic!

Just wow! I'd read reviews prior to my choosing Mystic Mountain, so my expectations were high. Mystic Mountain not only exceeded those expectations but blew them away. I've stayed at nearly 20 by owner rentals & have never encountered anything close to Mystic Mountain. We truly felt as if we were coming home each day, rather than a bare bones rental. The decor was lovely & relaxing. The drawers & cabinets were well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The views were incredible. The lake was refreshing. Watching the Osprey, deer, & wild turkey was neat. Kalli is by far the most organized, helpful host we've ever had--& we have had some great ones. The drive to Kallispell was less than 30 minutes, to the West Entrance was under an hour, and to Two Medicine was about an hour and a half. Flathead River have to is about 10 minutes, Jewel Basin is about 20 minutes. I had looked at places closer to GNP entrances, but kept coming back to Mystic Mountain. There is so much to do at the property itself--we canoed, kayaked, fished, swam, hiked, made smores, & more. I'm so glad we stayed here for our family vacation. Truly, I can't imagine a more perfect spot. A 5* rating isn't high enough for Mystic Mountain. A truly exceptional property and host. We were a family of four couples, a 3 year old, and a 4 month old. Thank you, Kalli, for sharing your beautiful home with my family. My 3 yr old grandson keeps saying he wants to go back to the brown mountain house. We all loved Mystic Mountain.

This is a beautiful mountain home. Great location is close to Flathead Lake, Kalispell, Whitefish and Glacier National Park. Plenty to do at the property for all ages. Host communication was excellent. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

It was a spectacular, peaceful retreat for our family vacation. The property was remote enough to bask in the forest and feel like no one was around. There's a giant Osprey nest close so we had entertainment any also saw Deer and Turkeys. There's a fully stocked kitchen, barbecue and lots of great suggestions for activities. We really enjoyed ourselves and can't recommend it more..

Mystic Mountain is MAGICAL!!

The moment we pulled up to Mystic Mountain, we knew our group (7 adults) had chosen the right spot! First, the house was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prep meals. The back porch was our favorite spot to hang out. The views are INCREDIBLE. Our neighbors were a nest of Osprey parents and their babies. We also were visited by many deer and turkeys, but the highlight was the chubby black bear who dashed down the bank of the lake, splashed into the water and swam to the other side. The guys witnessed first hand while down on the dock fishing and canoeing. The guys also enjoyed the pool table and wished they had more time for the ping pong table. I enjoyed the painting rocks station! Fun and Creative! Kalli was amazing to work with. She has thought of EVERYTHING to make her guest feel welcome. Beautiful fire pit out front - although we did not have time to use it (kind of hot in July). If you are on the fence about this property, jump off and book! Loved exploring Big Fork (cute little bakery - Lake Baked -with yummy cinnamon rolls, scones, coffee, quiches.....) , Whitefish& White Fish Mnt. Resort- gondola/hiking, Flat Head Lake - rented a pontoon boat, and of course the star of the trip Glacier National Park E&W. This house is centrally located, so that you can go places easily. But then you get to come home to rest, relax, and enjoy the view after long days of hiking.

Mystic Mountain is Magnificent

This was a great home to stay in. Kalli was a fantastic host, the home and property were outstanding, and the view is out of this world. It was a great base for allowing us to explore the Big Fork and Glacier National Park Area. Our experience at Mystic Mountain was tremendous, and I attribute that to the work that Kalli puts in making this a great place to stay and explore, including coolers, amenities to make your outdoor experience great, including canoes, games, recreational activities (pool, ping pong, etc). The best part is enjoying the back deck, looking at the mountains while you enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening dinner after a great day in the park. You will be very hard pressed to find a nicer VRBO and a better host than Kalli. We had a great trip. Thank you.

Gorgeous home and views

Our extended family had a wonderful stay during our visit to the Glacier NP area. The home was furnished beautifully with great themed rooms and an eye for anything one might need while vacationing in Montana. The view from the back patio was gorgeous and felt like were in a national park (minus the crowds) while eating meals or relaxing there. There is also an active osprey nest near the patio which was fascinating to observe. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area!

Family Trip 2024

We booked a year in advance and had great anticipation for our family vacation. This property was everything we hoped and more. Pictures do not do it justice. Oh, that view!! Bigfork, Kalispell and Glacier National Park are all in decent driving distance. This was my first but will not be my last trip to Montana and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Kalli again.

What a great week!!

From beginning (booking) to arrival and departure the process and communication with the host was fantastic. Rarely does a a property meet and/or exceed hopefully expectations. This one did for us! Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed the time at Mystic Mountain. The lake time was especially enjoyable with 95 degree temps most of the week. Mornings were amazing and enjoyably cool. We look forward to returning in the future for another week of family fun! -John

Great experience

When you book on Vrbo sometimes the place is not perfect. This place was perfect. Great space. Clean well stocked. Great communication with owner. The property was kool. We had family from 14 to 78 and everyone had something to do. To many table pool tournaments and the kids won Thanks for a great time

We're so pleased to have you visiting our MysticMountainMontana listing. I realize there's a lot of vacation rentals to choose from and so many options to consider and sort through.

The STR (Short Term Rental) business is not new to us. We have owned 2 other STR (Park City, Utah and Costa Rica) over the last 20 years. Our experience and passion for travel hosting led us to our 3rd property in Bigfork, MT. It only took us one trip to this area to know we had found our next home-away.

My friends tell me that the "hospitality” business is my natural niche. As a minister's wife, I often seem to be the one who hosts the parties, plans the gatherings, plays tour guide and opens my house to unexpected guests. I currently manage our property and handle the bookings. So rest assured knowing you're dealing directly with the property owner and the person most knowledgeable about the property and local area to act as your host.

Professionally, other then STR (short term rentals) and hospitality, my back ground and experience is in professional restyling. It's this expertise I used to design and furnish MysticMountainMontana and create a unique “themed” experience in each room. My intention is for guests to enter our property and feel like they are in a warm and welcoming "home" rather then just another generic short term rental space; to not only see a beautiful space when they enter, but also feel and sense our hospitality even in our absence.

When we are not traveling we live in Southern California in the north county of San Diego. Not a bad place to live!

During our winter stays in Bigfork we enjoy skiing and even ski cross country right out our front door and around the lake. I do yoga and my favorite place to practice is right on our lower, lake front deck. In warmer summer months we enjoy hiking, boating, rafting or working in the yard.

I do hope you will have the opportunity to experience the magic this amazing property has to offer.
