Good value, quiet location

Two couples stayed in January 2025. This is a very quiet part of St. Martin. We enjoyed our stay. Our host was very responsive and responded immediately when we had questions. Check in and out was easy. Grocery stores and restaurants were very close. The property had an upstairs room that was spacious. The downstairs room had a small bed so if you need a bigger bed this may not work for you. The kitchen had everything we needed and we made many meals here. Groceries are fresh and inexpensive. The beach at this property is quite rocky but it is beautiful. The property could use some TLC but overall is a good value for the money! We do recommend renting a car so you can enjoy the island.

All you need and more

This condo/townhouse was a pleasure to stay at. It has large, spacious rooms, two bathrooms, two bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed. There is even a closet full of "toys" for the pool and the ocean. Upstairs is a washing machine which is very handy when staying near the ocean. The patio outside the living room had comfortable lounge chairs. The deck off the master bedroom upstairs has a view to die for. Parking was just outside the front door. The Nettle Bay Beach Club is a huge complex divided into smaller complexes to take advantage of the ocean views. There is a pool in each big complex. Even tennis courts. The Host and his concierge were easy to contact and helped us with any questions from beaches to restaurants. Just a wonderful, enjoyable ten star stay! We thank you! We will stay with you again.

Lovely, tropical, safe, and quiet

Our villa was very clean and comfortable. It lacked good TV reception though, but that is one of only 2 downsides. The other being limited beach space. A beautiful safe location with great restaurants in walking distance! A gem!

From the moment we step foot Into this home, I knew something was wrong. An odor I could not Figure out. We had been warned about four days prior to coming that the people before us had done some damage to the home and had some holes in the wall. Honestly, I didn’t care about holes in the wall and I had nowhere else to go and we were a family of five coming to the area, upon first inspection of the home, our white socks were dirty. We noted very very dirty closet floors that we couldn’t put stuff down. 2 of the three beds only had sheets on them. The main king bed had a very thin comforter. Extra Sheets, towels and pillowcases were all hanging outside on the balcony and a couple throw blankets. It was sort of like they weren’t done cleaning. The fridge freezer door must have been left open at sometime and when we checked the fridge when we arrived, the freezer had about 3 inches of ice in it and pretty much was unable to use with any amount of groceries. Also updated to them was a broken chair as in the pictures you can see the white layout chair so now we were down to one for our family of five. ( have pictures of everything) this was all communicated to them. A lady did come over and pick up all the towels outside. I did ask her if this was normal for no comforters on the beds and she said yes and gave me a couple throw blankets which were about 4’4’, I also known to her that the place did seem a little dirty and Uncle and she was like oh I’m the cleaning lady so I didn’t.

Wonderful vacation!

We had an amazing stay in St. Martin. I was looking for a great vacation spot to take my son. I inquired about several villias throughout St. Martin. After searching for months, I was lucky enough to find this villa. The owner, Zafer is extremely easy, patient and flexible to work with. She anwered all of my many questions, sent additional photos and was extremely sensitive to my needs. She has children, so she understood exactly what I was looking for. As an added bonus, Louise, the Property Manager also has children. Her son in particular, is just a sweetheart! Our children quickly became friends. It was very reassuring to know that I could allow my son to walk along the beach, speaking French and playing with the local children, all within a gated community. I found the neighbors extremely friendly and security - reassuring. The grounds keepers are very present and working. The villa is as shown with free WiFi and all of the household items, one might need. The villa was clean and well appointed. There is a restaurant next to the property (walking distance) that has AMAZING lobster and soup! The location of the villa is a 5 minute drive to Marigot. Be sure to stop by Sarafinas for pasteries. Its about a 15 minute drive from the airport to the villa with breath- taking views. During our three week visit, we drove around the island several times. We were was alway very happy to return to our temporary home. It provided us with that sense of peace and relaxation. We look forward to returning. I strongly recommend a car and that you carry cash. Many locals are bilingual.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Nettle Bay au coeur de cette résidence et de ce logement parfait pour une famille. La piscine devant la location est grande et belle, la résidence est bien plantée et propre et la baie de Nettle accueillante. Merci à Rachel pour son accueil, sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse! Great Trip

The property was fantastic. Super close to Marigot and really convenient to the airport. Fantastic deck, great kitchen for preparing meals, terrific shower and nice parking. We loved the fact that that we could get anywhere with ease even with property being on the extreme west side. It was sad to see for the residents the residual damage of Irma, specifically on the beach but in no way did that hamper our trip. When we go back to SXM we would definitely like to stay here. Perfect base of operations. -Billy

Very nice property

This property delivered a lot of value. It was conveniently located about 10 minutes from Marigot (many wonderful restaurants) and about 10 minutes from Cupecoy beach, a wonderful beach with many services. Driving through Sandy Bottom is eye opening, shall we say, but not a problem. The beach is not big but very nice for periodic dips into ocean. Overall, it was a great base of operations for our week there. We'd go back again to the property and enjoy more of the wonderful dining opportunities that the French side of the island offers.

2019 Holiday Visit

We stayed here Christmas week and over all we were quite pleased with the property. The owners and local rep were very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. A few notes on the property, the lower level is newly renovated and while sparsely appointed, it was clean and comfortable. The fridge was on the small side but worked for us. You need to walk through the downstairs bedroom when coming in the back door so there is a lack of privacy and there are no windows in that room so a little cave-like but since it was only the 2 of us staying there, it didn’t matter to us but it may be an issue for larger groups. The upstairs bedroom and bath were up a narrow winding staircase and were not recently updated. Both the bath and bedroom upstairs were very roomy. The upstairs balcony appeared to be shared with the neighbors and was still under construction so we avoided that area. The outside was as advertised with a beautiful view and a short walk to the water’s edge. Nice deck and plenty of furniture. 2 of the complex’s pools were open and the 3rd was due to be open very soon. A few notes on the area, there was a grocery/gas station as well as several nice restaurants and delicious bakery/coffee shop within walking distance. This area, as well as much of the French side, is still very much in the hurricane recovery stage. There is lots of trash and debris still littered everywhere and many of the buildings look like they’ve been bombed. Water is still not safe for consumption. The drive into Marigot was nearly impossible with the burned out cars from the government protest still blocking the roads. Despite all of that, we still felt very safe in and around the Nettle Bay Beach Club. People were very friendly and helpful as always and we made many new friends. We were so happy to hear that our favorite beach bar from previous trips, Layla’s, was due to reopen any day. The beaches, as usual, were just amazing. We truly can not wait to return and we would definitely consider Zafir and Sawsan’s property for future visits.

We had a nice stay. Pitty the pool was not finished yet because the sea entrance was a bit to rough for the kids. But understandable, Sint Martin is still rebuilding. Very helpful host and wonderful location.

NBBC Comeback

The condo is located close to grocery store, and restaurants and a 2 minute drive from Marigot. The owner and Marie Jossee, who welcomed us were a pleasure to deal with. The lower level of this condo has been totally redone since Irma and the rooftop patio is now finished. It was a great place for our morning coffee with a spectacular view. Repairs to the beach front pool have yet to be completed, but the pool at the hotel across the road was great. Staying here was a pleasure and I hope we can come again when the pool is up and running.

A great family experience

A recent 12 day stay at the condo in March 2019 with parents, ourselves and young daughter. As advertised the condo has been redone post-Irma and worked well for our stay with two separate bedrooms and a spare bed for the little one. Air conditioning was available but rarely used and WIFI was a welcome treat as it was not commonly available on the island for the public. Clean, well laid out and more than enough space for the 5 of us to relax during our stay. Basic pots and pans with some spices and coffee were available on arrival. Coffee machine (espresso style) allowed for coffee on the beach and a great way to start the day. Additional beach chairs and snorkel masks were in the condo but rarely used during our stay. Highlights - beach is walking out the back entrance and daily swims occurred for most with some snorkeling. There is a small grocery store a quick walk away (500 meters) for minor shopping and the traffic levels are much lower than other parts of the island allowing for quick movement to most areas. Additional beaches are a 30 minute walk away if desired or a short drive if travelling by car. Post Irma damage is still present in the area but even in our short stay you could see the improvements daily - a new wall here, fresh paint there, a crew working on roofs over on that building. Due to hurricane damage there is glass in the beach but swim shoes or sandals were more than enough protection for our daughter to run around free...this is also slowly being turned into sea glass and becoming a colorful part of the beach. Swimming pool was not available again due to hurricane damage but arrangements were made to use the adjacent property's pool via the owners for us much to the daughters delight. Airport parking lot to condo is 15-20 minutes easy drive. Arrival on site with property agents went smooth with communication possible in both English and French. Checkout again went smooth and allowed for easy, stress free arrival at the airport.

Heerlijke plek op het eiland, direct op het strand

De communicatie liep erg vlot met de eigenaar en daarna een super host Marie-Josee, ze stond altijd voor ons klaar en reageerde snel op berichten. Heel flexibel, in verband met onze stand by vlucht terug, konden we zo weer in het huisje terug als we de vlucht niet zouden halen. Het huis zelf is ruim voor 4 personen direct op het strand en ligt centraal op het eiland. Heerlijke Franse bakker op loopafstand. Lekker zwembad voor de kinderen .

AVOID THIS RENTAL!

We were terribly disappointed with this rental, it was not at all what it was depicted to be. The unit is in desperate need of updating, it was "bare bones." The lighting is extremely limited with no working light in the upstairs balcony so we couldn't even enjoy the balcony in the evening. There were only 2 plastic chairs on the balcony, no table or umbrella, etc. There were no lightst on the patio, either, which made sitting out in the evening and looking at the water an impossibility. The kitchen contained no amenities at all, not even soap or a corkscrew! The kitchen sink was backed up upon or arrival and we had to call to have it fixed. This particular unit is probably the most neglected unit in the entire complex. TV reception was very poor. No wonder we were told that we had to pay the entire rental fee up front with no refunds! We learned later that the owners (who live in CA) have not been there in a year. No wonder we were required to pay the entire cost in advance with no refunds. This was a very difficult lesson to learn. Don't be taken in.

Perfect home base for St Martin!

We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily return for another. The villa had everything we needed, the owners were prompt and helpful in answering our questions beforehand and Joseane, who met us there, was efficient and friendly in taking care of everything. The view from the villa, the easy access to the beach and pool and a location close to restaurants, shops and beautiful beaches all made for an enjoyable vacation.

A nice cosy beachhouse

We had a good time in St. Martin Dream. It's a nice and cosy beachhouse with the facilities of Nettle Bay Beach Club. Great restaurants in walking distance are Mezza Luna and Dreams! Thanks to Josiane, who gave us a warm welcome and was a fine host.

Lovely villa right on the ocean

St. Martin Dream is an excellent rental for two couples or a family of four. The description and pictures of the property are accurate and the location is excellent for exploring both the Dutch and French sides of the island (car is recommended). Everything was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes. The main living area opens up to a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool (about 30 yards away) and ocean (another 30 yards). It was so nice to be able to walk out the back door and go for a swim in the ocean. There were beach towels, beach chairs, pool noodles and a cooler, which we used to pack our lunches for our beach days. The property manager, Louise, was fantastic! She was there to meet us when we arrived, thoroughly explained everything in the home and made recommendations for things to do. Anytime we had a question she responded quickly and cheerfully. Our communications with the owner were dealt with promptly and he also provided us with great suggestions for activities. It was a pleasure to deal with both of them. it is a very easy walk to a small grocery store, a great bakery and nice restaurants. Our favourite meals were at Mario's Bistro (a five minute drive towards Marigot) and Auberge Gourmand (Restaurant Row in Grand Case). Our favourite beaches were Baie Rouge and Friar's Bay. We plan to return as it is hard to beat St. Maarten's white sand, beautiful azure waters and exquisite dining. We would not hesitate to stay at St. Martin Dream again. It was everything it promised and more!

Nice vocation

Really nice stay. Secure - gated community with guard. Villa - clean, has kitchen with everything what you need. Amazing coffee machine! TV + Internet. About TV - picture not so clear, I think antenna need adjustment (because neighbor has nice picture). Ocean in couple meters from porch. Community pool - clean. Nice restaurant in walking distance. Amazing French bakery - in walking distance. Gas station, French supermarket (please do not use Dutch supermarket - day and night difference) 2 - 3 minutes drive time. The owner - Zafer is nice person, easy to communicate. Got answers in all our questions. Another words - strongly RECOMMENDED!!! Thank you Zafer!

Wonderful getaway...

The villa was everything that it was described to be: clean, comfortable, full amenities, wifi, well maintained gated community, 3 pools and 3 tennis courts and a beautiful beach. We were a family of 5, kids 9,6 and 2, and we fit comfortably. The rental manager Louise is great and very responsive (e.g., when we had a shower head that broke, and it was replaced in a day). The villa is extremely well located, probably 5 minutes if that to Marigot and 12 min from Maho beach (a must-see if you have kids). Of course, since Saint Martin is such a small island, no where is too far. While we were there it was quite windy, so the ocean was a little choppy (The kids loved playing with the waves). It's quite possible that this is only the norm during the time of the year we were there, and that the winds change and it is calm at other times of the year. But when it is windy here, if you want somewhere that is really calm, we would suggest in the following order Anse des Peres (Friers Beach), Baie de Grand Case (and the jetty to jump from) and Great Bay. You have to have breakfast at least once at La Croissanterie in Marigot: we only ended going back another two times :-)

We fell in love with St Martin since our first trip there. The island offers you the opportunity to be in Europe and the Caribbean at the same time. We chose Nettle Bay because of the amazing beach and the proximity to multiple nice restaurants and bars. We chose this particular unit because it is a true 2-bedroom (on 2 floors), because of it's ocean front balcony.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

- In the French side that has a lot more charm and offers better restaurant options
- Some other 2-bedroom units in the same complex have one bathroom only and are on one floor only. They are 30-40% smaller
- Most other units in this complex don't offer an ocean view balcony like this one
