Check in and out was not that easy because of gated security. But an excellent vacation regardless.

Property was very nice, secured and still gave a privacy feeling. We enjoyed the overall location on the island, as it gave us an equal proximity to other attractions. We enjoyed this location over the more crowded touristy areas.

Beach getaway

The property is inside a gated community and feels very safe. It is clean and well maintained. The one bedroom unit has a beautiful few of the beach and is also close to the swimming pool. It is close to the stores and restaurants in Marigot and a great base to access the island.

Ce logement est parfaitement situĂ©! Plusieurs piscines accessibles sur le resort, la plus belle plage du resorts est tout prĂšs. De plus, nos plages prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©es de l’üle Ă©taient Ă  quelques minutes en voiture. Aussi, on peut facilement se rendre en voitures dans quelques Ă©piceries grandes surfaces. Une petite Ă©picerie, la boulangerie et un restaurant accessible Ă  pied.

Excellent Home and Location

My wife and i celebrated our 1st anniversary here. The home is very well maintained and the perfect location to all of the island in either direction. Very private and beautiful. My wife and i highly recommend this beachfront cottage.

Gorgeous place

This was gorgeous! The apartment was just as described..however I gave a lower score for check in as our apt wasn’t ready and we had to go somewhere else for three hours which after a long day of traveling you don’t want. The bed was very uncomfortable
.if this was improved upon I’d give an across the board excellent rating plus bedding was minimal and could use a few extra pillows and a blanket. But the location is wonderful..the views fantastic and the peace and quiet was just as we hoped.

Great Stay!

Communication between the manager of the property was great she always responded. Property was clean. Convenient location to restaurants and grocery stores. Spent most of out time on the back deck over looking the water. Beautiful spot! I would definitely return.

Beautiful views but no water

The place had beautiful views and looked like it’s pictures. The property manager was very responsive. However, we did have water multiple times (5 in 11 days) for extended periods (4-8 hours. Also lost electricity once for half a day. Couldn’t flush toilets, shower or brush teeth. The pull out sofa would be ok for kids but the 4 inch mattress made the bed very uncomfortable for adults. Outside shower was a hose. Pools were great and location good. Wondered if Dutch side of the island experienced the outages like this area.

Nettle Bay Beach

We absolutely loved the property and the area. Clean, with stunning views, located directly on the beach, with a pastry shop and a couple of restaurants within walking distance, and Marigot a short drive away. The covered patio area was especially nice and a great place to sit and relax over a morning coffee or evening drink...listening to the waves. We enjoyed almost 2 full weeks and wish we could have stayed longer!

Paradise

This was our first time to st Martin and first time using VRBO, we were a bit nervous but our hosts met us promptly at the property. Jean Yves and Mari Laure were amazing hosts! We arrived on Christmas Day after all the stores closed and Jean even gave us a few beers since it we couldn’t buy any, The apartment is exactly as pictured, super idealic! The pool was great although we didn’t use it as much as we though as we were too busy visiting all the nearby beaches. Although a store and a few great restaurants are within walking distance, a rental car is a must, we visited a different beach every day. The apartment has everything you could need to cook, the only thing missing was a measuring cup and spatula. As others have said, the beach isn’t super swimmable but we did swim a few times. Also as others have said, there is quite a bit of glass and broken dish-ware in the sand, but it’s all old and worn down, not sharp, and we had no concerns walking barefoot. we just loved hanging out on the patio listening and watching the ocean, it was so relaxing and you just can’t beat the view and proximity to the water! we can’t wait to come back!

Beach Condo

A lovely lower end unit of a five unit condo property. Well appointed. Daily construction nearby (not the property owner's fault) made the stay very difficult but that will be over in a few months.

Comfortable beach house, excellent location

Thank you Yves for renting out this lovely beach house. We enjoyed our week exploring St. Martin and Anguilla and always felt glad to return to our home base at Nettle Bay. The restaurants in this area were very good, but we especially loved Ma-Ti right next door which served delicious French cuisine at very reasonable.prices. The bakery across the street served the most luscious croissants and we would enjoy them with our eggs and bacon cooked right here in your well-stocked kitchen. Louise, the property manager, was so wonderful and answered many questions and was extremely helpful to us. One highlight of our trip was to visit Parotte Ville in Belvedere (near Philipsburg) to see all the exotic birds and hand feed them. A must see! The deck with comfortable chaise lounges was a favorite spot to relax each afternoon with a cocktail. The sound of the ocean lapping the shore was so wonderful. The pool only steps away. We had an amazing vacation here!!

Amazing Beach House! Excellent Location! Perfect!

I am from New York and have stayed in top SPG properties and I must say this beach house exceeds all expectations. It is just perfect all around. Location: Centered, short drive to the dutch side to main strip as well as wonderful beaches such as Mullet Bay & Simpson Bay. 3 minutes to Marigot (French side) where you can find great breakfast and dinner spots, and where Marina is if you are taking a day trip to Anguilla. It is also fairly close to other top beaches such as Anse Marcel, Orient Bay, Pinel Island etc. Amenities: Super large living room with everything you need, Wifi & TV, great big comfy couch! Packed Kitchen with everything you can imagine from coffee maker to big pot to make pasta, literally this kitchen has more things than my personal kitchen at home. Bathroom is nice an comfortable, great stream in the shower and super soft towels! Bedroom had an amazing King Canopy Bed just so relaxing, extra large closet with tons of hanging space. Both Iron & Hair dryer for the lady. Backyard: WOW!!! Just WOW, we made breakfast and ate it in the deck area just on the beach overlooking the ocean, it was too good to be true. I wish I could wake up like this every morning! large couches and tables along with tanning beds if you choose to stay around the beach house for the day. Overall: Everything about this place was perfect, we felt super safe as it is a gated community with a security guard around the clock (just extra peace of mind). Easy Parking if you rent a car. Washer if you choose to do laundry, I can go on and on. We spent a wonderful week! Tips on the Island: Restaurants: Calmos Cafe, Ocean 82, Sol e Luna, Bamboo Beaches: Mullet Bay, Anse Marcel, Orient Bay, Pinel Island Day Tours: Try to make it out to Anguilla for the day, it's really a must so beautiful! Nightlife: Calmos Cafe, Bikini Beach, Grand Case (in general plenty of bars)

Amazing condo- perfect location!

Just spent 6 wonderful days in St Maartin and had the most fabulous time! The condo was everything as promised- even better than we imagined! This location couldn't have been more perfect to explore the island, both on French and Dutch side. Louise was great, met us upon arrival and answered any questions we had. You defenitely need a car to get around to places, so a rental is recommended. If you are debating on this unit, go for it, we wish we could have stayed longer!! We cannot wait to return and stay again!!! Thank you!!

A great St. Martin beach home

My wife and I just got back from an 11 night stay in Kaybays and St.Martin. It has been 32 years since we last visited St. Martin. Kaybays was more than we could have asked for. My parents used to own a private home in Grand Case 25 years ago. Kaybays made it seem like we had never left and had a home again in St. Martin. It was a beautiful home and has everything that you could need or want. The Nettle Bay beach Club is a great facility and in a great location to explore the Island. It is easy to get to most places on the Island. Rent a car and go exploring. See how many different beaches you can see and pick your own favorites. All the beaches are public. You just have to find the access and they all have public access. After a day of visiting 2 or 3 beaches it was great to come back home to Kaybays and dip in the wonderful pool with a home made Pina Colada. The beach is a little coarse with crushed coral, but there a nice safe areas to enter and swim in the ocean. I made a little mistake and Louise helped us out. She helped to find us the perfect day trip. Funseaker.com. It was a 3 island tour, Creole Rock (snorkeling), Tintamarre (swimming with the sea turtles) and Anguilla. There were drinks, snacks, snorkel gear, lunch at a restaurant and a great crew. Do your grocery shopping at the Super U just out of Marigot on the main road to Grand Case. Buy your fresh fish and Lobster from the fish market in Marigot on Wednesday and Saturday morning. We made our own Lobster and Chateaubriand dinner, with a nice bottle of wine all in Kaybays kitchen and grill. Buy a bottle of champagne and go to Plum beach for your $1,000,000 sunset. USA visitors should bring lots of Cash. Many restaurants and shops give $ for Euros when paying cash. Restaurants - Sandy Ground La Santel is a fantastic restaurant with a tremendous sunset view over the water. Ask for the "Julliette Balcony". The souflee is devine. They offer $ for Euros. Grand Case L' Auberge Gourmand, La Villa and Piazza Pascal (Italian for something different) are all fantastic restaurants with great food and service. La Villa and Piazza Pascal offer $ for Euros and L' Auberge Gourmand offered us about $1.20 / Euros. We brought our own beach chairs, umbrella and cooller on this trip. So we always had a place to sit and a cool drink in our hand even at the unstaffed beaches. We will go back to Kaybays again and enjoy this lovely island home in St. Martin.

More beautiful and perfect than the photos

It has been less than a week since we have gotten back from St Martin and KAYBAYS, we have been to St Martin 5 times on cruise ships and "thought" than we needed to spend more time on the island. I need to say that we live in Orlando FL, so coming for the sun and weather was not why we were here. We came for the food and the people, and what we got was so much more. All of it surprisingly either very good or excellent. KAYBAYS was even more beautiful and perfect than the photos lead you to believe. We have traveled for, well who care about us, we are not first time travelers, we vacation monthly. KAYBAYS is, in both my, and my wives opinion, the finest rental we have ever had the pleasure to stay at. Why, location, and the attention to detail of Yves the owner and Louise the onsite property manager. Louise was amazing, she was the PERFECT balance of available and yet out of sight. Yves has furnish, and modified his unit to his taste and has achieve a VERY NICE balance between function and practicality. KAYBAYS can said to be "perfectly livable" with everything provided. Perfect vacation!
